The garden is really busting out with greenery now! I hope that I can keep up. I'm almost thankful for the rain so that I have an excuse to rest a little 😄 I think that the toads enjoy the rain too, and the other critters were happy to see a week of mostly sun before that 😊☀️
Wow, everything looks so beautiful, as usual! Huge effort to make it so, so huge props to you! Happy Solstice!! So lovely to see the fauns and raspberry flowers, PLUS toadsapalooza and Little Ear :)
Happy Summer Solstice to both of you 😊☀️ It was exciting to see all the flowers popping out this week. I'm especially excited about the sugar snap peas and hope that they do well this year. I'm excited about the zucchini too because I've never grown it. I hope that at least some of the fireweed survives to pop out some flowers this year!!! The toadsapalooza was surprising to see that night; never seen so many. Tyler took that last picture of Little Ear sitting on the porch waiting for him to bring nuts - so funny 😄
OMG! That last shot of Little Ear on the step! How adorable. Lots of wildlife goin' on out there and it was so awesome to see the two little fawns checkin' you out while Mom just ignores the whole thing. What a beautiful garden this year! It' seems a nice problem to have too much to sell than too little, but that's sad about the ordering glitch that left some people out in the cold (kinda). It's crazy to know you're out there in the dark doin' your thang LOL!!!! You are one dedicated gardener for sure, Missy. I luf you. Momz
So many adorable critters this last week 😍 Little Ear sometimes waits on the steps until Tyler gets out of the truck and brings sunflower seeds 😄 So far the garden is doing good this year and I hope that there aren’t any major setbacks 🤞😬🌱 It is nice to have too much rather than not enough! I should have a better idea about how much I can expect to sell as the weeks go by and people get used to ordering again. Ha Ha I was out in the garden late because I was too lazy to go out during the day 🤭 Love You Noodle 🤗
Wow! So much hard work, burning the solstice midnight oil. Looks tight and squared away, can tell you’re a veteran. Thanks for the potato coverage, how are your garlic scapes coming along? Mine are just showing up. Be thankful your dear deer are just laying on the spuds and not eating them like the knuckleheads down here on the south end. And lucky they haven’t found out how easy it is to push the light fences over! Looking forward to hitting the Friday market when I move to town for my summer tourism gig
I can never get everything done before the rain and I'm always one step behind the slugs! I've got to get the clover cut back underneath the greens beds and capture them under boards otherwise they will gobble all the chard, collards, and kale 😩 Yes, my garlic scapes are just now shooting up straight and I hope that they will be ready to cut in a week or two. I've got to get a fence around the whole garden next year now that I know that the deer will lay down in the middle of the spuds and also eat my precious fireweed 😄 I hope that they remain innocent of flimsy fences and tasty potatoes! It will be jolly to see you back in town 🌱😊👍
Happy Summer Solstice! Things are looking awesome. How are you liking having the mustards and collards added in this year? I know you had collards last year too but seems like more this time around. The farm seems pretty diverse overall, I love it. Too bad about the silly website order thing. I have had issues with a similar thing ordering stuff online with some sites. Hopefully you can get everybody informed. Happy growing!
Hola Senor Frog, sorry I never got back to you, hope you’re homestead is thriving, I know it’s hard to do a 9-5 job and have time for anything else. I’m mostly retired and still can barely manage a duoculture, spuds and garlic mainly. Of course living off grid has its own set of requirements that I enjoy but still take time and energy. Anyway cheers and always enjoyed your videos, so different from SE Alaska
Hey Paxton! Happy Summer Solstice to you 😃🥳 I really like having the mustards and collards. I didn't have a ton of interest in the collards last year, so I grew fewer this time, but now I seem to sell as many collards as kale and I might have to bump it up again next year. I sold all six bunches of mustards this week, so I might need to plant a few more of those next year too and find out the max interest. I like having more greens options especially early on when so much in the garden isn't mature yet. Usually I get settled into a routine with the online ordering after a few weeks into selling and I just have to let any new customers know how it works. Hopefully that all goes smoothly this summer 😊🥬🥗

Thank You for joining me in this garden of eatin'. Behold the fawns in the garden: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; they simply eat the grass, and I am thankful.
It's those dear Deer again!
They are the dearest little dears; Popcorn, Fuzzy, and Furry too!
What a beautiful lush garden! You make it look easy, but I know it's a ton of work! And all the little critters! Love it
