BETH, 25, had a problematic relationship with food from childhood. As a kid she would hide food at home - and soon began gaining weight, much to the confusion of her parents. As she started earning her own money, she was able to afford more junk food and spiralled into Binge Eating Disorder and body dysmorphia - often gorging on 2,000-calorie snacks of chocolate, crisps and sausage rolls. Beth’s turning point came when she was struggling to fit into wedding dresses - and so committed to changing her life to get into her dream dress and improve her mental health. By learning about calories, she was able to change her eating habits and lost 80lbs - posting her weight loss journey online. Her pages blew up and she now shares her tips with her hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok.

She is so inspiring. Binge eating is the hardest thing to deal with. We need food to survive and can’t avoid food so every day you have to face your constant battle with food! I hope it clicks for me one day like it has for Beth!
Holy smokes this is exactly what I always say. We can't avoid our addiction, we need food to survive!
Yeah. Food is also so much part of societal norms, we eat while socialising, we eat to celebrate and to grieve, it's so complex! My family also used food to show their love and they don't fully understand my issue when I say it's not good they give me a box of family sized biscuits to take home 😣
I stopped thinking about eating for pleasure, and went down the fasting and keto route. So no processed foods, no snacks, very low carbs, no sugars. Only meat, fish, eggs, cheese, and vegetables. I eat once a day. No calorie counting; because eating once a day means I can eat a pretty big meal and still run a deficit in calories. While it sounds like I might get hunger pangs, I never do. It is liberating not to feel addicted to crackers, chips, cookies, etc.
Even though I am now very much a believer in fasting and low carb diet, I think you can still achieve a great deal by merely eliminating all the processed food from a diet. That stuff is engineered to make you want to eat and buy more.
Just because we eat to survive does mean it’s hard for everyone. I need to eat to survive and I get the urge to eat, but I don’t let it overcome me.
@@ifreebasecocaine yeah because you don’t suffer with binge eating disorder? What’s your point?
Dedication and control is extremely hard. People that accomplish these goals need to be celebrated for their accomplishments.
Redefining your relationship with food and finding something sustainable
It’s not about control. That’s what leads to binge eating in the first place. You overly control everything until you break and have a binge.
at my heaviest i was more than 347. i am extremely proud to say that i am 204 and very close to ONE-derland for the first time in 10 years
🥰
That's awesome, congratulations on your weightloss journey
Get it girl!!🔥👏💪
Proud of you!
Thats great! 👍👍👍
I'm 46 years old (about to turn 47) and I was 275 pounds now I'm currently 229 and I so far lost 46 lbs and I'm 4 pounds away from losing 50. You are inspiring me to keep going until I get to my target goal weight
you go girl ❤️
Wooo amazing ! :)
Nice.
How are you doing now?
Well done! Turning 40 soon and I weigh 225 pounds. I just started intermittent fasting an ive lost 10 pounds so far.
It's nice to see that her man loved her regardless of the weight. It's also nice that it became more than just losing weight for the wedding dress. She lost weight because it was better for her health overall!!
“ITS SO SIMPLE” she totally nailed the losing weight miracle, CALORIE DEFICIT!!
All you have to do is eat LESS eat in MODERATION, that is LITERALLY 90% of losing weight, you could throw in 10% cardio if you want lol!! She did a wonderful job!!
I have been studying the benefits of fasting 1 day a week. I also do that.
@@user-sh2mk8ew4c There's also one big rule to follow... it's better to eat nothing than to eat some bad food.
@Imitation Of Life It's true. But if you wanna eat some junk food just to put anything into your mouth... good luck with health.
@@user-sh2mk8ew4c Usually you’ll end up being in a Calorie deficit when you’re fasting. So essentially it’s still a calorie deficit.
But it's not that simple to everyone! People with Fatty Liver Disease and insulin resistance can't lose weight eating carbs or anything that raises their insulin level quickly. We are not machines, we are very complex inside.
This is the type of story I am always looking for: where someone finds the motivation and will to loose weight in something positive: her wedding and relationship. Too many times it is a divorce, breakup, or rejection that FINALLY gets the person committed to loosing weight. I really wish more people could find the motivation without revenge or anger being the trigger.
I was 275 pounds and now have 233 pounds. I lose all that in 4 mounth, and i go for more🇩🇴❤️ (I'm 17 yo)
Sorry for My English
Get it!!
Good for you! Weight loss is extremely difficult. It’s not just physical but mental and emotional as well.
Great job as long as u feel great is all that matters
Well done ! Fantastic effort ! You deserve this, keep up the good work. 👍
I was 198lbs when and I'm now 115lbs! Much more happier and healthier 💗
How did you do it and how long did it take to lose it? Congrats!
@@FalconTypo6 a year! 😊 and thank you I'm very proud of myself
Thats fantastic!
I’m similar stats! What method did you use just curious ? Congrats 🎉
@@FalconTypo6 thank you! Walking! Is a great way to lose weight! Also I cut out cheese, chocolate, and i tired not to eat to much carb like potatoes and bread.
I love how she's so cool about it.
She had a plan in mind and she executed it. Discipline and determination. Easy to say it, but to do it. I like that girl.
She looked beautiful before and after, I'm happy she feels better now
I've been following Beth on Tiktok for a long time. She's done brilliantly and is so honest. Her content helps so many people ❤ Calorie deficit all the way
She’s very pretty at both weights. Good for her.
She looks like a totally different person.
She looks just like her mom now.
She kinda looks like Dua Lipa actually :D
She looked so much better fatter imo 220 looked amazing on her.
I noticed lots of times when people (male ,female )lose lots a weight they actually look much older 🤷🏼♀️I don’t get that
@@beatrissem4354 I guess cuz their skin sag a lil bit.
@@beatrissem4354 it’s because the plumpness looks youthful. A lot of the time people with chubby faces look younger than people with slim faces
I love watching these...this one really spoke to me im 7 months in my journey 34 lbs down! I to am a binger and if took me until this year to realize it! I had to do a lot of soul searching to figure out why! But once i told myself no more going back to the old me. I have not looked back! I work out 5 days a weeks i prepare my foods and snacks i really love food i just dont let it overtake my life like it once did!! Congrats girl you look amazing!
These women are amazing, and these videos are helping me to stay on track. Today makes exactly one month since I started working out. I'm actually walking while watching this. Please keep posting these great videos. 💗
What a big difference! She’s gorgeous! Determination is key, isn’t it? Great job!
This is one of the best episodes I've seen. Awesome job!
No quick fix in weight lose. She did amazing
Pain is beauty...
this opened my eyes. i never heard of binge eating before and i think this is exactly what i suffer from. it happens every evening, i suddenly shove chips (crisps) with cheesedip, chocolate, crackers, pasta, anything i can grab into me. usually i keep going for about 2 hours of eating non stop, until i am extreme full and/or it's time for bed. i suffer from ptsd and depression since 21 years. up until 2 years ago i never had weight issues, but 2 years ago i got a back injury and had to undergo surgery and a long rehab process. in that time i added 30 kg of weight and it made me very angry and sad. this is when the binge eating started. i hate being chubby and i don't feel good the way i look now. i also hate that i have difficulties to take on socks or shoes. i hate my thighs rubbing together and giving me burning skin in summer. i hate to see me in the mirror. but i couldn't find a way out of this yet. due to a chronical lung disease i am unable to hit the gym. what am i supposed to do? :(
You’re supposed to check out doctors Berg, Berry, and Fung on UA-cam. Low carb, high fat eating, that satisfies you. Trust me. You can do anything. ✊🏼🎈
That's exactly what my weight was. I'm now 40 pounds down and half way to my goal. You look amazing and you are an inspiration for me to keep going too.
That's wonder for her
Forever proud of you, the most kind hearted & inspirational woman ♥️ keep doing you always!!
She is gorgeous! Motivates me to get it together!!! She is so inspiring 👏🏼👏🏼
Eeek, as both someone who has dealt with bulimia and binge eating (and as with any addiction knowing that it never fully goes away and rears it ugly head sometimes) and as a mother… First I applaud you! This is very inspirational! I know you’re mom means well but some comments were a bit “yikes”. I really have to check myself as a mother and what I say to my children regarding their size and weight. I make comments too “just wanting to help” and I look back and kick myself for.
I was naturally skinny all my life and eating everything i wanted. But i grew up in a modest family and my parents cooked a lot with no process food. Starting working as a professional and being a mom i gain weight. As everyone, i did my research, my introspection, did gym for 8 years and diet. I lost weight and gain it all. I knew i need something more durable than a quick fixe to change. I thought changing career as i was sitting in the office 40 hrs per week. I change job to work 35h/week so i have the time to cook healthy meals everyday for my family and myself. I found a way i to include exercice while i am working....actually i walk 10 km during my day work. I do fasting 8:16. Now i find back my old me. I no need to stress to the gym... and calculating calories.
How did she stop binge eating tho ? Which strategies did she use?
For those of us that don’t use a measurement system from the bronze age she was 100kg at her heaviest and 63kg now
So rude. Why are you so bitter? Need a snickers?
Amazing! it takes insane discipline and self motivation. You should be so proud of your efforts!❤️ people don’t take binge disorders seriously at all.
That's amazing eating healthy is far from boring. Amazing job!!!!
This motivates me to get a fitness trainer and nutritionist to help me loose this quarantine weight. 🧗🏻♀️
Girl I got a trainer and it’s totally worth it!!! I don’t hate working out now 💗💗
You can do it 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Girl I gained weight during lock down, I have never been this size I just don't know what to do with my body. I am taking baby steps cutting out junk food
You don't need a trainer its possible to lose weight without the coslty help.I lost 85 pounds at home eating clean and finding exercises that were going to be beneficial for my body type. Its important to note its unsustainable if you treat it as a diet you have to make it a lifestyle change.I prayed to God for help my way got me discouraged. He heard me and step by step I learned so much about my body, nutrition and physical fitness incoropated it to my eyeryday life and now I look like a different person.Give it to good any and all situations and he will help you and see you through.❤God Bless
‘Slow and steady wins the battle every single time’. Period.
I'm 375 pounds. I'm just beginning to go to the gym. I want to get down to 200 pounds in 2 years or less. I just need support from others. Ya know, to be held accountable to stick to my plan?
Try OMAD my friend for the first 90 days ! Try and incorporate IF! Good luck
@@shatikaconward7247 thanks
Thank you I gained so much weight during toxic relationship in 2007/2008.. I still are in same weight, 220lbs (college student, walk so much but NEVER bother to do real exercise) now I'm engaged and have 1 kid together. This video trigger me to lose my weight before my wedding dream. For my kids sake (1 cat, stepson n daughter) but mostly for my fiance
I like how she says she uploads food videos. It makes her videos seem different from everybody else's.
Amazing work! Well done!! 💜💜
I didn't understood much due to her accent, but the general tone was soothing, and I feel much better now
Is it only me who think that she looks alike Lady Gaga?.
Btw I lost 21 kg (from 68kg to 47 kg) in 5 months, without exercise. Simply just eating less than 1,000 cals a day.
I thought the same thing. Congrats! I’ve lost 30 pounds in 6 months myself!
@@wickedside7715 good job 👍
Omg I thought I was the only one that thought she looked like Lady Gaga. 🤣
I fell into that trap too. I’m now more than have way to a 62 pound weight loss goal. I won’t give up and won’t give in.
Thank you..this will be a huge inspiration to many people..xx
Aww, she actually looked beautiful in those wedding dresses.
Congratulatulations. I have done it a couple times now on whole foods plant based diet. Now I am fasting quite a bit, hope it works. Glad you achieved such a good result.
And do you look good!!!!!
I changed my eating habits - I quit eating.
And lost 80 pounds.
I didn’t start exercising until I lost the weight.
Now I need a tummy tuck.
Woohooo! So happy for you!
@@discovervicky4558 Thank You Vicky.☺️
I’m single😮
Let me add to my reply.
My mother was 350lbs and had gastric bypass. Her best friend did it with her at the same time.
Her best friends sister in law told both of them “If y’all would wire your damn jaws shut you wouldn’t have to have that surgery”.
Now as mean and hurtful as that statement is - it’s true. I never forgot that statement.
So I replaced my meals with a protein shake. I fasted 1 day a week. I still do that.
I am a binge eater (I am glad I don't drink anything sweet). Thank you for sharing, it brings me hope that I am not a lost case (I exercise a lot, but my problem is eating)
It's really nice to see a story like this!
amazing! i’ve started following Beth and her story has given me the determination to start my journey.! xx
Absolutely love her and this video! Very inspirational ⚡️
I started at a 103.7kgs and now I am at 94.3kgs in 4.5 months , my goal weight is to reach a healthy BMI which is at 64kgs for me
That is fantastic, you can do it!
I’m suffering from this disorder and it’s so difficult to be positive while losing weight. Any tips ?
@Oliver's mummy thank you ! 🥺💕💕💕
@@Rose-br3rk in my opinion you shouldn't cut anything. Start with logging everything on normal day, then slowly cut calories by 50-100 a week till you're in a deficit. Don't cut foods or food groups, because then you'll crave them and trigger a binge. If a diet costs money, they're literally just putting you into a calorie deficit in different ways.
I agree with @ChristinaSmith.
Don’t cut out any foods you like UNLESS they are a trigger food. I don’t buy candies anymore because I’ll eat the entire family sized bag in one night.
But, I do have other favorite foods like crisps (chips) or frozen healthy choice fudge pops (90 calories) that I can eat in moderation.
I tracked everything I ate for the first week on my fitness pal, just to get a baseline. Then I decreased that number by 100 calories per day for a week. Then 250 per day for a week.
Never let your calories eaten get so low that you’re ravenous. You’re setting yourself up for binging and just caving in.
Make swaps. I bought a lose calorie coffee creamer. Then I made 1/2 my plate vegetables.
No regular soda, diet instead. But water, water, water.
If you’re a nighttime snacker. Be prepared. I love air popped popcorn. 200 calories for huge bowl. Frozen grapes. Healthy choice fudge pop.
It’s not that hard if your patient and just lower your calories gradually.
You look like Britney in the red bathing suit in the thumbnail. You are beautiful. So many people can relate to this. Thank you for sharing❤️
I will tell you something that you said and is true of me too, (I cut out dairy and gluten and comitted to a calorie deficit in August 21, I also burn an average of 300 cals,) I think the secret is deciding you are going to do this once and never again. I find that I have established an eating plan that keeps me happy and I am happy with the exercise I do now. In the first couple of weeks it was definately uncomfortable and I had to build up to the 45 minutes I do now. Not wanting to ever repeat that discomfort is what sustains me on my eating plan. You cant lose weight without the calorie deficit and exercise. Once I had that straight and the fact I dont want to repeat it, it was pretty much plain sailing. I was 89kg at the beginning of August, today on 10th October I am 84kg and still reducing. Once I get to midway on the healthy BMI I will stop and maintain my eating plan and exercise (probably do more walking with HIIT, than the gym bike and resistance stuff I do now) You look fantastic xx
Good for her
Amazing transformation!!! She looks beautiful 😍. Definitely inspired me. 🙌🏽🙏🏽❤️💎
That's really great, and great too that you addressed the weight before gaining more.
I'm 210 pounds the heaviest I have ever been in my life. Now I'm working hard to eat better and working out. I just started but I'm working hard.
Slow and steady is right. I will be getting into my fourth year of being physically active. My first year I lost 60 lbs. the second nothing and the third only 5 lbs. It is not easy but I want to hit 100’s. I was 280 now I’m 215.
I used to row and almost everyone has terrible technique in the gym but hers was quite good
No mistery. I like that! Your force!
Keep up the good work! You never know who you might inspire to make healthier lifestyle choices.
a side note: I don't get it... shoes going into the bag on top of clean changing clothes... what's up with that? do you guys wash your shoes everyday or what?
It's not always about eating bc alot of people actually binge eat but don't actually gain weight like crazy so... Doctors don't know what it really is exactly every case is different & they do suspect good bacteria vs bad bacteria in the gut microbiome. They are studying it & they soon will come up with a way to combat the problem.
I so wish I could stop bingeing 😭
You can do it!
It’s really difficult. The way this video played out made it seem like she just quit bingeing and lost weight but no you can’t just quit through will power. This is why I hate videos like this making it seem like you can just quit on your own. I’d recommend talking to a support group or seeing an eating disorder specialist. If you can’t afford, then I would recommend journaling the feeling before during and after your binge, and learning what the triggers are. Once you learn your triggers you can start to learn how to prevent the binge. Mine is letting myself get too hungry in the day. Or not keeping busy. If I’m at home doing nothing I binge. If I haven’t eaten anything I get ravenous and make bad decisions like eating an entire pizza. You can quit you just have to learn more about yourself.
@@Ashley-cr4ow if you follow her you'll see she still has her battles.
I agree though. Get help. Sometimes that's the life changing part.

Such a great video, so happy for you Beth!
Amazing young woman!!! 😍😍😍 However I wish she would have shared a bit about the emotional reason behind the binge eating.
No
Matter how much weight you lose and say you are happier it’s a battle ever freaking day .
EVERY FRICKING Day!
Wow I also weigh 220 pounds rn bc of binging disorder. Hopefully it goes away.
I can't stop my binge
I understand this. Alot. I would eat well for an entire week and then binge on the weekends. I would work out 4 days a week only to have all that work undone by binging. Sometimes I would binge for a day and then it will continue for 2 days. After a while, i find myself binging 4 days in a row. So working out does nothing.
Lately however, I would write my feelings in the morning. If something bothers me, i would write it in my journal. I dont overcome that feeling, i just write about it. And i am monitoring my cycle (if you are female) and take note of when i binge. I noticed i binged during ovulation. So i change my strategy then. And i notice i binge when i stop eating wheat or dairy or sugar..anything that is "bad" for you.
I have taken a step back and included those bad foods back into my diet, but take it in moderation. So 1 or 2 wheat wraps is fine for a meal. Or a sandwich with whole wheat bread is ok. Some Greek yogurt is also fine. Some chocolates are fine. Now i have the bingeing under control. I hope to stay this way until i lose weight or get my body regulating itself. I wish you well.
I know how it feels. I really hope you get past it or bring it to a manageable state
Determination love ❤️ it !! Need to hear that

So what if you only burn 500 calories at the gym. Your supposed to eat less than 500 calories?? I know this sounds dumb and it’s not the case. This whole thing just confuses me. Someone please explain. I know we lose calories just from every day things as well.

I was always very slim with eating a lot. Everyone in my family is very slim.
Then I got chronical diarrhea and gained 80 pounds in total. After gaining approx 30 pounds I started to eat less and less. But I went on gaining and gaining. I do eat 2 small, healthy meals a day in the mean time.

Beth you are incredible 🧡🧡
Iam a bit confused! you said at minute 2.10 that However many calories we have burned we should eat less than that?
So if I have burned 600 calories for example I should only intake 500-550 cals in a day? How does that make sense?
Surly no one can survive or live off such small amount of cals.
Some people may only burn between 5-600 cals a day so really that is not great advice to give anyone. I’m not having a go but it’s not healthy is it.
