Just happened upon this video on my feed. And now I subscribed. You are the vibe I am looking to achieve when I have a glass of wine. Kudos! Hope you post more videos of good wines that are affordable.
I mainly get spirits at Trader Joe's. Great prices for what you're buying in almost every category. But the wines are kind of all over the place, with plenty of alright bargain wines, and then there's these wines they usually have (excited to check a couple of these out!), but one thing to add here: some Trader Joe's stores will have, on occasion, a special. I live about 5 miles south of Napa, and I've seen several Lodi, Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino wines on special that were gone PDQ. I heard that the one in Santa Rosa had a Bordeaux which usually sells for around $50, they were selling those for about $12 per bottle. They didn't last long. Anyway, something to look for.
Just stumbled across your nice review but the wine's TJ's has now are very different and probably better. I have considerable experience with wines and have to say that maybe 30% of TJ's wines are not only good quality but bargains. Having said that I also have to say that if you shop around, especially at the California wineries you can find some excellent Cabernets, Zinfandels, and some amazing red blends at very good price. Some of the red blends are only sold at the winery and aren't advertised. Tobin James has one called "RED," that is very good and also a super bargain. The only decent wine shop we have out here in the desert is BevMo but they do have some bargains, especially on Cabs and Zins and red blends. Of course, the bottom line is buy what you like not what someone else tells you that you should like!
Oh I've never heard of Grocery Outlet. Apparently the closest one to me is in Pennsylvania. Maybe the next time I drive out there I'll do a haul. I also did a Aldi wine which sounds similar to the Grocery Outlet.
Espiral, I haven't tried that one. However, Casal Garcia VV is awesome! I may need to do a TJs haul too soon. Especially since my wife stop me from spending too much there. Unlike taking away my Costco card...
Yes you should do a TJ wine haul! I'd love to know what your top picks are. One of my favorites is an Amarone but it's like $30 something... I'll keep my eye out for the Casal Garcia.
I was just searching organic wines + traders joes! Your YT channel popped up. Didn’t know Growers Reserve = organic. I have not found a decent organic wine :(. Curious what your thoughts are on the organic Shaw wines.
Yes I wasn't a huge fan of the Zinfandel, but I have not tried their other Grower Reserve wines. I don't think I've seen an organic Shaw wine at my local TJ, but I'll keep on the look out for good organic bargain wines.
Nice recap. Gonna follow you

I appreciate your kind words :)
Love this one! Make this a series!!

Yes it's so worth it!! Glad to find another Vinho Verde lover.
@Vivian. I just bought 6 bottles of Saute Loup 2012. What do U think of this wine. Thx
TB from Singapore.
Do a Grocery Outlet one! I've found bargain big hits but also proper duds from them in WA.

Espiral is my all time fave . Fizzy white mineral-y wines are my fave. Can you do a video on Orange wines?
It's great isn't it! I'll add orange wines to the list!

🍷🍷🍾🥂
My Trader Joe’s has that first one for $4 😂
OMG
🍾🥂🍷🍷🤙
I'll bully you for that wine hmph!
A lot of the world's best wines are biodynamically and organically-grown
Yes that's true and a lot of European wines won't have the organic certification on their bottles. But organic does not always mean tasty wine.
Yall is not a word.
You're right, but "y'all" is.
