The model's hair needed to be in a bob. That would've made the hats look more accurate on her.

The 1920s cloche hats were supposed to be tight to the head and bell shaped cloche meaning bell in French they didn't even pull the hat down 💀

I love the 50's!
I really don't understand the 1920s hats at all. They just go way tall on the head and cloche hats were really close to the head and tight fitting and everything that the dresses weren't. Also, you would not place it there on the head, it would go down on the forehead, yes, but it would also go down very far in the back and the sides and usually you couldn't see the ears and it would go down much further on the forehead, sometimes the eyebrows were covered. Your reference picture got it right but I don't know what happened with the actual hat. Most of your other hats were pretty accurate, but the placement was an issue on some. And though I can't say much about 1970s to 2000s hat fashion, I think overall you did a pretty good job of relaying the hat fashion at least through your choice of pictures.

Remember those 70s caps. Usually suede or corduroy and always brown. My sister had one. Donny Osmond was the trendsetter there.

I didn’t realize that we were in the mid 2020s- since this is a “100 years of hats” video. Also, by the way- those 1920s cloches are way too small for the model, and do not sit where they are supposed to..

I definitely feel that the bucket hat should be a 2010 trend, instead of in 2000. They’ve made a huge comeback recently, and i see them way more on the streets than those wide straw hats you featured

Seriously- these videos never show “100 years of hats”. Starting with the 1910s would have made a lot of sense considering how unique and important hats were.
