The 2010's should honestly have just been Ray-Ban Wayfarers again. Go onto any university or college campus, or any metropolitan hub and you'll see them in excess.
the great thing about sunglasses is they truly are timeless. You could rock those 1920's frames today and it would be perfectly fine. Not to mention aviators which are still popping
Sherry Pickles you are right, or have passed the big white, pink, yellow and black glasses with all the odd forms that there were. these glasses are not those of the sixties
Late 60s, and into 70s...very small ROUND sunglasses of red/blue or green lenses -- being worn by John Lennon and Janis Joplin became fashionable. You skipped over that entirely.
Makeup makes the models features pop more when on camera. It's hard to see because you don't see much of their faces without it but when they put it on it shows up better on screen
No they’re hideously inaccurate; 1920s and 1950s are particularly awful. The curls look like they didn’t even try. 1940s is bad too, her hair is lopsided.
Yeah you can still find them but it's according to the modern trend. You'll still find bell-bottom jeans in stores but their not the main trend in jeans.
Curious how much research is put into these “100 years of” due to the fact that you claim Ray Ban designed aviators for the US AF 11 years before it was formed. We rewriting history? Ok then....
Am I the only one that felt like the 2010 one was right. That is one set of glasses for the decade, they didn’t show ever style. For instance look st the 60s glasses they showed the mod style that was in, but they didn’t show the hippie style sunglasses which were also in. Honestly if you look at Instagram models, the met gala, runways were all featuring those frames, I saw them at just about every festival in the last 3 years and still see them. I think it was pretty accurate, of course there are other styles in the 2010s that were popular but those are in fact one of them and still are.
I can't be alone in wanting to know who the model is for the '20's and 50's. All in all though, they do the models a disservice by not giving them a credit in the video or under the details for "show more"
I'd go with square shaped glasses for the 2010's. The thin cat eye may be popular recently, but the square shaped ones were around for quite a while in different sizes.
I remember when silver sunglasses with baby blue lenses were popular. They would also have little rinestone decorations on the lens on the bottom corner or something...make the bad memories go awayyy!!
My mom has sensitive eyes and she ONLY wears those 2000’s style sunglasses and they always break so I’ve literally seen every variation of those glasses lol
For the ones who think that the 2010s information is wrong, it's not. They're just showing which new trend came during the 2010s and the cat eye glasses with the colored shades were the biggest trend. They are not showing which sunglasses are the most popular during the 2010s.
I had a pair of rose colored glasses in the 90,s early 2000’s. They was prescription and my mom refused to buy another pair since that’s what I wanted so I had to wear them for like 3 years before I got another pair. I cringe so hard thinking about that time.
ABOUT TIME...I had a pair of 70s glasses. I had Ray bans..in fact I still have Ray bans. I still wear them. To the Aussie model at 3:05 ..onya ..go you good thing.
80s one were worn in 60s also Roy Orbison in Video for Song Pretty woman wore them and also I remember I saw on Beatles Video Ringo Starr wore them too.
Every time I watch one of these ____ through the years videos I pray they don’t screw up 2010’s yet they always find a way to do so
ii Argentum ii perhaps it has more to do with the decade rather than the video makers....
ikr
The 2010's should honestly have just been Ray-Ban Wayfarers again. Go onto any university or college campus, or any metropolitan hub and you'll see them in excess.
Ur dumb!!
Also Priyanka Chopra!! Not the same colour but same/similar style, size and shape!!!
So no one is going to talk about how those circular lenses made a comeback 2010 onwards ?!
N power___ who cares after the 90s it just sucks!!! The 2000 and forward is boring
Nope! They’ll talk about douche trends. Its funny AF how we used our parents trends the new ones were so blown.
@natashavernon you mean the white ones?
@@tastetheworld2889 screw you

Fr! I own the '37 an '80 ones!!
Wtf last one? I have never seen anything like that in stores. Funny thing - you can easily find almost any of 1910-2000 instead...
Kitty Seven. U must living under a rock.
Nor have i
I've never seen those type of sunglasses, but I think they look cute and I wouldn't mind wearing them.
Same
I have only seen the cat eye sunglasses in 2010 exactly not any year other than that mostly in highschools
The girl with the short black hair modeling the 1920s and 1950s glasses is absolutely stunning, oh my god 😍
I've never seen anyone but Rihanna wear those 2010s ones...
The Jenners, Hadids, Kardashians, Insta baddies, streetwear etc. And who exactly do you think sets the trends?
Yesh, maybe some celebrities wore them but thos type of glasses were never on trend in 2010..
I've seen them on a few people and I own a pair, they're just more of a "niche" thing than a trend
Taylor G same dude
I wear them too
What about the legendary clout goggles????
Jojo Siwa that’s what I thought!
Peanut Butter same!
Jojo Siwa that’s what I thought it would be for 2010
it would have been 90s as kurt cobain popularised the style,
@@ldmarkey2057 1990's. They were really popular back then. Kurt Cobain and other musicians made them very popular.
What about 100yrs of wigs
Omg yes! And with differences between cheap and expensive wigs!
Some wigs back then were made of real hair 👱👱👱👱
*trump has left the chat*
HERRO IM VIOLET 🤣🤣🤣
@@jessicastiner2123 they still are.. The expensive ones
That 2010’s glasses was a little off
Ronnie Winston nope. If you know anything about trends then you know that everyone is wearing those glasses.
Nathalie Barreau but were they in 2010??!! I think there are glasses that better depict this decade........
Ronnie Winston this video depicts 2010 as more current trends, not this past decade
Ronnie Winston WHERE IS THE CLOUT
@@neytash1716 and the point of the video is to try and capture the entire decade..... so I stand by my first comment..... have a good day......
What about the popularity of large, circular frames in the later 1960s, like Janis Joplin's colored lens? Or the smaller, circular John Lennon ones?
Ash Wein they focused on mod look instead of hippie.
Sherry Pickles you are right, or have passed the big white, pink, yellow and black glasses with all the odd forms that there were. these glasses are not those of the sixties
2010 What the.....?! Did you live under a rock the past nine years?
what about it?
Lmao did you?? They're everywhere
@@dreamskeepmesane I've never seen them
Lol right
Bro I own those and I’m only 18
Anyone else reckon these trends seem to be circling back around post 2000s?
Waqar maybe a little more 90’s but yeah I totally agree!
Imagination is dead.
Late 60s, and into 70s...very small ROUND sunglasses of red/blue or green lenses -- being worn by John Lennon and Janis Joplin became fashionable. You skipped over that entirely.
Same! I mean, 3/4 of the Banana Splits wore sunglasses the entirety of the show.
What’s the point of putting on makeup, they don’t look any different
Ikr. How many times did they put it on the guy when they JUST put it on....
It's for filming not to look like they're on make-up
@Ester Sabransky wow. I never expected that. Thanks!
Makeup makes the models features pop more when on camera. It's hard to see because you don't see much of their faces without it but when they put it on it shows up better on screen
There is absolutely NOBODY wearing the 2010s glasses
Yes there is
those 2010 glasses is everywhere
Emily The It yes there are. I do
I literally own these exact glasses in purple, In fact a lot of people wear them
So basically sunglasses just got bigger and bigger
Which video's comment section can i NOT find you ?
Like apple
Ishan Ali I didn’t think that this video suggested that
Up until the 90s and then again in the 2010s... which is very unflattering.
Glitter Diamond Now phones (especially iPhones) are growing again! 😟
the guy with the round sunglasses at the beginning was cute. :)
Honestly we still wear every single sunglasses shown in the video now days lol
True
2:23 the model is so freakin beautiful
Can I know her name?
If she does instagram, I wanna follow her
Yes and the model 3:00 is so beautiful
Weird.
Angela Wong Carbone
The fact that they use modern glasses throws off the accuracy in general. The ‘50s looked more like the ‘90. And what was with the 2010s???
100 years of Luxottica monopoly
Glasses are good, hair and makeup makes me want to cry
Jacinda Bezaldo in a good way or?...
No they’re hideously inaccurate; 1920s and 1950s are particularly awful. The curls look like they didn’t even try. 1940s is bad too, her hair is lopsided.
I agree. Hideous.
These 100 years of... Videos are always way off in their styling. The 1940s look was more 50s with coral lipstick etc
No for 2010 they should’ve had the clout goggles, although they kinda died it was trendy for a good minute
I love these 100 yrs of videos!!!! So interesting!
What about "men In black"? Or did I get neutralized and missed an epic moment in sunglasses history!🤓
No that was not in featured in 👱👱👱👱
I really love the 1980s glasses .
I think the Ray-Ban Clubmaster was a much more accurate choice for the 2010s
Ok, but where can I find those 1920's sunglasses ??
I have never in my life seen the 2010s glasses

besides the first ones, you can really find all of these styles still in stores

Yeah you can still find them but it's according to the modern trend. You'll still find bell-bottom jeans in stores but their not the main trend in jeans.
I've seen the first ones before
Maybe not 1920s tho
ALL of the models are soo so sooo beautiful
