I'm a watcher not really an engager but just wanted to let you know you're my favorite booktuber. I was watching a booktube queue on the living room tv when my husband sat down to watch. Your video came up and he said Wow, she actually tells you about the book real quick (versus the previous book videos). I told him that's because you're an amazing booktuber! Lots of other booktubers, who I really like, struggle a lot with explaining a book in like a minute without any spoilers. You do such a fantastic job of this! So thank you for all that you do!
I've finished rereading Deathly Hallows five minutes ago, and wow. Reading and rereading Harry Potter is such an amazing experience, and...the feels. Always.
I came to the conclusion that you're my favourite booktuber ever. The way you talk about books is very ... intelligent? idk, but i get a feeling that I'm listening to a very smart person. And the one who can appreciate something fun. Also how you love fantasy. Your taste in books (out of all booktube) comes closest to mine. When you praise a book i know I'm going to love it too! Plus, I'm from Russia and it kind of feels nice that you're interested in our history, just a bonus. Never change!)))
+Dux Votch I do agree with that! But people review books differently and they have a different explanation for the amount of stars they give. Last month I had 6 four star reads from the 11 books I read. I have a very detailed explanation for all of the ratings I give. Some months it just turns out like that and I think it's a good thing if you enjoy the books you read.
It is true for the most famous book tubers (not all of them, of course, but most). However, I think the not-so-well known book tubers tend to be less generous.
I could be totally wrong but, I think it depends on why you read books, I find that lots of people who review books are reading the books looking for flaws where as book tubers seem to read them looking for good parts.
I'm actually rereading Order of the Phoenix right now so yesss! I totally agree with you - whenever I reread Harry Potter I feel like I'm home. :) great video!
I just started the name of the wind and I love it! I am almost finished. I never read a book so fast especially since it's so long. thanks for the recommendation! can't wait for the second
It's currently 10pm and I haven't started reading today. I'm up at 5:25 everyday so sleep is lacking and I haven't read much recently so Im glad I can watch this. made me happy. thank you
Whenever i dont know what to read or when im just too busy to read or when i just want to read....i read Harry Potter LOOL. I recently just got into the HP audiobooks and they are the most amazing things ever. I listen to Jim Dale when im on the bus, when i'm pooping, when im cooking, when im sleeping, just anywhere everywhere, and it's AMAZING. Jim Dale is such a great narrator too, and it's kind of a brand new experience to re-read/re-listen to the HP series by listening to it too, you should try it
The Falling Kingdoms series is on top of my TBR list. I really need to start it! Great video Regan - like always ;) you're my inspiring booktube example!
I loved reading the entire Lunar Chronicles which I read for the first time, and within that series, Cress was definitely my favorite. I binge read the series in December and it felt so good to be reading so much! Carry On was wonderful as well. It's just really cutesy and interesting, as expected from a Rainbow Rowell book.
I read City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare (I know, I'm so behind) and I loved it!! Planning on doing a week long readathon for spring break and reading City of Glass!!
I've actually had a decent number of 5 star reads since December. So here are the highlights: Gil's All Fright Diner (please read anything and everything by A. Lee Martinez, it's all great), A Nameless Witch (same author, also hilarious), The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender, Finding Audrey, You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost), and This Song Will Save Your Life. An oddball collection for sure but a delightful few months of reading.
This past year I've honestly re-read the Harry Potter books over and over again about 3/4 times? I've been doing it via audiobook, and there's just something so addicting to it listening to it- I'll finish Deathly Hallows and then the next minute I can't decide what to listen to next whilst doing work so I'm like 'eehhh, lets just listen to Philosophers' Stone again!' I've JUST started my 5th(?) re-read/listen today and ahh it makes me so happy and at home and that I can constantly quote it in my head yet it doesn't get tiring or old! XD
I'm also rereading Harry Potter! It makes me sooo freaking happy! But Harry in OOTP is... soooo angsty! That's the only thing I didn't really like about it hahah but well, he's going to puberty so I accept it! Absolutely love these kind of videos!
i read mist born in february and it was really good!! I liked the world and magic system and brandon sanderson's writing was easy to follow and understand even though everything about the book is so dam complicated (for me anyways haha) the ending tho was just T_T
I think my favorit book so far this year must be ''Elantris'' by Brandon Sanderson. Last year's favorit was ''The name of the wind'', and I can't wait to read ''The wise mans fair'' next month!
Out of the 15 books I've read so far this year, my two favourites have been Truthwitch by Susan Dennard and Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. Those books are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them :)
I had kinda of slumpy start to the year so i didn't really read a lot of books in the last 3 months except for Snow Like Ashes and Ice Like Fire by Sara Raasch and the book I am currently reading which is Morning Star by Pierce Brown. Anybody who hasn't read the Red Rising Trilogy, go do so now. It is freaking epic
ooo i'm just finishing firefight by brandon sanderson aND HOLY JESUS ITS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! ugh im so in love with the characters and the world, it's just KWDBSFJCKDNBXHJK definitely gonna buy the 3rd book very soon. I RECOMMEND STEELHEART BY BRANDON SANDERSON, WHICH IS THE FIRST BOOK! READ IT!
Does anyone have any other good books that they've read recently? I'm on a bit of a reading slump as the last couple of books I've read have been really disappointing... I'm in need of book help! (:
+Momoko Nishino +PeruseProject It's fantasy, and it's the story of a famous man's life as told by him to a "chronicler", kind of a ghost writer. It doesn't have a normal story structure as it mainly follows his life, but Patrick Rothfus has a wonderful command of language. He obsesses over the right wording to use, and it shows. I've read a paragraph of his before and just taken a minute to savor the language he uses.
I really wanna read the Falling Kingdoms series, but I'm not sure yet if I want to read it in English or German, my native language. Would you say that it's easy to understand in English or does it contain many "difficult" words or complicated fantasy language? I'd love to hear your opinion about that, guys :)

+Naroa Lazaro Antolinez always. T_T

I need to reread Deathly Hallows desperately!
I'm currently 105 pages into City Of Thieves and only put it down when I saw the notification on my phone for this video :') It's SO GOOD!!!!
Enjoy!!
I love so much that HP still made the list, even though it was a re-read :)

I love how you associated rereading Harry Potter with feeling at home- you put my thoughts into words!
People on Booktube are too generous with the stars
+Dux Votch I do agree with that! But people review books differently and they have a different explanation for the amount of stars they give. Agree. Specially the most well known youtubers.
+Dux Votch I always feel the other way around, they are always kind of tough in my opinion
I could be totally wrong but, I think it depends on why you read books, I find that lots of people who review books are reading the books looking for flaws where as book tubers seem to read them looking for good parts.
You gave a lot of 4 stars! That's a great reading season for you!!
I loved Frozen Tides and it's definitely my favorite in the series so far! I can't wait for the next book!
I'm literally binge watching all your videos....I have no shame. They are AMAZING!!
I love how I can see the Sanderson "pile" grow behind you :-D
I reread the entire Harry Potter series in December and goodness, it's just wonderful. It gets better and better every time.

The cover for Furiously Happy makes me smile everytime I see it haha
I need to start The Falling Kingdoms series!! But then Lady Midnight and ugh too many books, not enough time!!!
I feel the same way, way too many books!
+Irish Reader Same! I have like three series I want to get into but not enough time. Thankfully Spring break is around the corner for me.
Eva Nieves same actually, I start my break tomorrow!!
I reread Harry Potter in January after almost 10 years and it was amazing! I have to say, I read all 7 books in 2 weeks or so.
It's currently 10pm and I haven't started reading today. I'm up at 5:25 everyday so sleep is lacking and I haven't read much recently so Im glad I can watch this.
made me happy. thank you

Planning to get to the Wise Man's Fear next month and am very excited! :)
City of Thieves sounds amazing! I really want to pick that one up oh my gosh.
Completely agree with what you said about City of Thieves. Very sad but still somehow funny too. I adored Kolya, he was amazing..
City of Thieves sounds absolutely fantastic!

Nothing like a Harry Potter re-read to make you life happy :P
I just read Name of the Wind and loved it. The first book I finished this month.
I love your videos!! They're so original!!!
I just finished Since you've been gone by Morgan Matson and I loved that! and The next together by Lauren James that was fantastic!

I loved Wolf by Wolf so much omg
This past year I've honestly re-read the Harry Potter books over and over again about 3/4 times? I've been doing it via audiobook, and there's just something so addicting to it listening to it- I'll finish Deathly Hallows and then the next minute I can't decide what to listen to next whilst doing work so I'm like 'eehhh, lets just listen to Philosophers' Stone again!' I've JUST started my 5th(?) re-read/listen today and ahh it makes me so happy and at home and that I can constantly quote it in my head yet it doesn't get tiring or old! XD
That's an awesome idea! Soon enough you'll be able to recite the whole series my memory. Goals LOL
I'm also rereading Harry Potter! It makes me sooo freaking happy!
But Harry in OOTP is... soooo angsty! That's the only thing I didn't really like about it hahah but well, he's going to puberty so I accept it!
Absolutely love these kind of videos!
And this is one of my favorite videos I like to watch :D
I still need to read Frozen Tides. Jenny Lawson, I read her blog The Bloggess. She's a fantastic writer.
I totally need to re-read the Harry Potter books, thanks for the reminder! :) Also I need to read that Patrick Rothfuss series!
The way you pronounce Marieke Nijkamp gets me every time :'D
Love the list tho! I urgently need to pick up a book of Patrick Rothfuss.
For me, it's Benioff. She says Benhoff every time. EVERY time. It's Ben-I-off. Not annoying enough to make me stop watching, though :)
i read mist born in february and it was really good!! I liked the world and magic system and brandon sanderson's writing was easy to follow and understand even though everything about the book is so dam complicated (for me anyways haha) the ending tho was just T_T
When she held up The Thief I started to literally hyperventilate XD Its one of my favorite series ever!

Btw, did you get a haircut? You look very nice :D
You should read Rebels of the Kasbah by Joe O'Neil if you are looking for a YA historical fiction
you're so gorgeous!
Where do you get your Jane Austen books?
I feel like I'm such a hard ass with ratings. Either that or I'm not reading the correct books! 😁
Nothing like re-reading Harry Potter indeed :)
hey, you should read this middle grade fantasy/ historical fiction series called the oracle of Delphi keep by victoria laurie it's so great
the last one I read was The Infinite Sea (Fifth Wave 2#) a month ago, it took me a little longer to read it than the first one
+Devon Munn how was it?
It was kinda good, but it took me a week to finish
Devon Munn ooh okay
HOW DO YOU READ SO MUCH WHILE BEING A COLLEGE STUDENT AT THE SAME TIME??? Like seriously, I want to know.
Does anyone have any other good books that they've read recently? I'm on a bit of a reading slump as the last couple of books I've read have been really disappointing... I'm in need of book help! (:
Is the kingkiller chronicle similar to the Earthsea cycle ?

Definitely the english one. It's not that complicated. If anything, it's quite simple and easy to follow.
thanks very much! :) I also prefer the english one at the moment but wasn't totally sure.
Can u do a high fantasy recommendations video plz

I totally need to re-read the Harry Potter books, thanks for the reminder! :) Also I need to read that Patrick Rothfuss series!
