Today I'm taking a look at the new Hertz Drums software, which wants to compete with Addictive drums, Superior drummer and of course Steven Slate Drums. After an overview of the user interface I'll dive into some of the presets and even show some quick sample mixes. These drums are truly great, you can just drop them into your session without any further mixing and have a great sound straight away.

I was grooving on your great How to EQ series and stumbled across this video. I had no idea these virtual drums were this good, this flexible and useful. I've been a fan of the SSD's forever and prefer them to the other big boys by a mile, but I'm going to have to get Hertz Drums 2 (which includes the humanization option) and a couple of their sample kits. Thank you, as always, Martin!
Hey Perry, amazing, thanks for the great comment! Yes, SSD is awesome, but these guys are making something completely different yet very familiar. Definitely worth looking into it!
Perfect summary. Great product. Will use it immediately. Thx.
Great demo Martin. Thanks!
My pleasure, thanks for the comment!
Thank you for having us!! amazing review!!
My Pleasure!
Thankyou!
Isn't this supposed to be available for windows 10?
Interested in an honest review of any of the Room Sound drum libraries and how they compare to SSD, this, and GGD to name some popular drum vsts
Hmmm I only use SSD and these ones, they definitely outperform Addictive and Superior drums. Native Instruments has some specific kits that can compete for a particular sound. I haven't used the others yet, I'll see if I can buy and test them when I have a budget for them!
What about the Getgood Drums, your opinion?
Never tried, to be honest!
This triggered by Jamstix will result in what you will never be able to do in any software.
