I think saving the drone and recovering the footage is another level of excitement & satisfaction to itself lol. Glad you got the gear back! Awesome footage!
Wow, looks like quite a hike to recover it. how long did it take you? Brave flying. you're lucky i didn't happen much higher :)
4 mins I was the tree
@@Glaciercleanse sooo lucky
I'm glad you had the chance to get it back!
I once went 5 minutes without recovering the signal of my Mavic Air 2 and it was stressful
An incredible video! You have a new sub!
Great, flying and cinematography. I could feel your pain. So Glad You Found It. What a relief! GoPros are GREAT!
He'll yeah ! One bad ass flight. And great recovery. I don't do long range anymore, I'm disabled and I could never get up that mountain. Thanks for the video
I have lost a couple of 7” drones, sorry to hear about it. The video you go it is amazing. New sub.
That was amazing man, crash or no crash, that down hill footage was incredible.
Amazing video. You are a savage hiking up that far to get it! lol. The love of our drones can give us energy to do astonishing things. Thumb up, subbed and shared! Can't wait to see more of your content.
I just realized that like 4 wheel drive, a long range quad will make you walk further. :-)
That was a beautiful flight!
Awesome footage! Glad you recovered your quad. I see it took some ice climbing.
Wow that's a shame, I'm sorry that it happened to you! The footage was amazing though :D
Subbed. Good flying, awesome work on the recovery!
Wow! Awesome flying and then you got a full day hike in! You got it back 🙏🏻🤙🏻
Bro props on that recovery mission though. I've given up on far less than this 🤣
When i saw the crash i was sure that it was an issue with one front motor , luckily you got it back, thanks for sharing.
Looks like the front right just gave out mid-flight, by the looks of the way the drone front flipped.
@@RyanStonedonCanadianGaming yea that’s the whole reason I came to the comments, cause I saw that too, i was thinking the same thing. But I want to see if anyone new what happened exactly cause all in all that shouldn’t have happened, what a shame that was awesome though! I would be checking the logs on that one and Make sure that just the motor was the problem. Cause that happening “to me anyways” is a big deal. I fly around extreme sports events tracks cars dirtbikes other aircrafts some times many of us do actually. I need to know my gear can handle everything I throw at it or people can get hurt and it being a malfunction and not pilot error that’s a big deal that means it can be addressed and it can be fixed to help from preventing again in the future.
-Or was its failsafe set to drop after FS stage 2? I haven't personally experience a motor failure. I want to know: if one motor fails, do the rest motors automatically stop and drop? Because if motors still spin after one fails, it will just continue flying but in helix fly path straight into ground?-
I have my 7" set to send pulse with 1S battery attached to TBS Diversity Nano RX after link is lost. You can use Crossfire TX Lite (or full) to enable find mode. Once TX is close enough. it will get a link and begin receiving telemetry (whayaknow! you get another new updated GPS coordinates that you last know after the crash) to get closer. Once you're in the spot, you can use find mode to play cold & hot game to find it or hear its buzzer if battery hasn't ejected.
Edit: Saw the description about ESC failure. Learnt new thing everyday. :)
Dude that drones distance is amazing!
Like the energizer bunny Commercial it just keeps going and going 😳👍😂
Sweet video! Whew, that is quite the hike.
Would be cool to add some type of turtle mode when front motors spasm.
Glad you were able to retrieve it.
My LR quads have a similar setup as yours and have had an ESC burn up 2 separate times. I have been blessed to have had only a short hike to recover any downed quads. The GPS is a quad saver. I also have my GPS to record coordinates via black box and saved on my radio SD card. And also the last 5 points are saved on my radio display screen every 5 seconds. Glad you recovered it. I must add, at my age I would not have did that recovery...not physically able.
What Radio do you use?
@@GerritADHS Taranis 9D+
Beautiful recovery! Beautiful footage!!
First off, excellent flight! I love how you fly so low and fast, really going for it. Havent checked updates fpr cause but i suspect a failsafe due to low altitude and signal lost behind rocks.
Thank you.
Until today it is not clear whether it was a firmware bug (beta) or a defective esc. When I recovered the drone, the ESC Motor2 was broken
good argument for high quality esc... nice work on the recovery, handy you had crampons!
Nice job putting in the work to get it back!
extra lipos...check, lanyard...check...crampons...check!!!!!! WOW nice recovery!
I just retrieved one on the mountain but can't find the camera. Man you got lucky it wasn't higher up . Absolutely sick run bro 👊
amazing flight and you got it back , subbed.
Great video until the crash. Glad you got it back.
Amazing content! No quad left behind!!! 🤙
Spectacular footage and recovery. I think to myself if that would happen to me... Would I try to recover it?!?
Really nice flying it was really heart stopping up so high and nice recovery of the drone looks like it was okay after the crash i really enjoyed it big like from me bud keep safe 😎👌👍
awesome views glad you were able to recover it. must have need a long hike up the mountain to find it
The craziest part of this episode is you GOING AFTER IT!
😌
An unreal beautiful landscape 👍, and an excellent level of piloting FPV UAV ! Thanks 👍
Thats long journey dude 🔥
Ow I like ur flight man, that's so awesome. Even you've got crashed but you get it back man. Good job man, I know it's not easy to be a pilot. I'm very interesting
Oh no 🙈 that sucks bro, wicked flight tho
Subbed just forthewalk alone mate let alone all the risk , badass flying , mad footage and the smile on your face n thumbs up at the end even though you gotz to be swearing your head off haha 👍
Never leave a drone behind!!!!Good job
Nevr leave a man behind ... RESPECT! 🙌
What a journey to find it out haha, well done ✌
Wow 🤩 mega klasse Flug 👍 und zum Glück hast du der Drohne wieder gefunden, gratuliere 💪
Big Like und neuer Abonnent 🔝👊
woah, looks like that was a serious hike to get it! Looks like it was in pretty good shape afterwards at least.
I saw in your last video that you weren't as lucky as I was
spectacular! that's quite a treck up the mountain man
Nice flying thank's for the video !
Amazing footage, good thing you didn't lose it and the drone.
Glad you got it back
I respect the recovery effort!
Great admiration. Parade flight at speed and great video. I admire you 7 hours of hiking on such a mountain. I completed it for 2 hours and I had enough. Respect buddy💪✌️
That's so great that you were able to retrieve it. Would have been such a pity to lose it.
Bro that was crazy sikk! flight and hike
OOF THAT HIKE
cant believe you found it!!!, a similar incident happened to be last month :(, only mine landed on the water and could not recover it back..... you live and you learn
Wow i can't believe you got it back
TC 3:00 Very brave piloting and awesome HD. But here again you flew into a signal blocked area.
I can see the starting position at any time. Why didn't the return-home function be activated (in case of signal blocked area)? Why is ESC Motor2 defective?
Man!!! It looked like it got slapped with some crazy wind-shear!
And that is how he started his drone recovery business 🙄 nice job!
Lucky it happened in the lower parts of the mountain. Great flight.
That took some serious balls. Also he’ll of a hike! Great shots though.
So glad you found it! You used the GPS telemetry on the radio? In 2021 I lost two 5" drones. Hope 2022 will be better :)
Cool cinematic ) like it
Hello, great video! It is a pity that it fell, but it is true that from the moment you take off, until more or less half of the climb, the noise of the engines is heard very synchronized but at one point of that climb the sound changes and they are not heard as clean or fine. I just hope the repair was cheap. greetings..👌👌👌
End of story: defective esc and defective Caddx vista because it tore out the antenna including uf.l connector and a piece of the vista-board.
I will change to 2806.5 motors
I understand you, it happened to me in Los Andes, Mendoza. Thanks to "find my drone" , it was a hard walk!
Zum Glück haste sie wiederbekommen😁
Pre crash = 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Crash = Thanks for sharing when 💩💩 happens!
View on run was off the charts!!
Amazing Man!!!
No Drone Behind
Strong work!
I feel the pain 😭😭 but nice video 👍👍👍👍👍😍
Remarkable recovery. I hate walking across a park to get my freestyle quad lol, i like to think id hike for my drone but im not sure i have that commitment. Great flight anyways, really cool. Looks like a failsafe or desync but its hard to tell. You were very low for being far away in those rocks, glad you got it back.
Turtle mode?
@@djilly75 yes but... i only turtle if im sure its all good, like a bump off of a building and flip over on pavement i would turtle but alot of times if i hit trees and bend props is when it gets a little sketchy. I once crashed and turtled out not knowing the battery had shifted and the props cut the wire insulation in 3 spots including frayed exposed wires positive and negative. I flew back like that not knowing it was insanely close to shorting out and burning up, so now i save turtle for emergencies like roof crashes lol. I still cant believe i was able to unplug safely. 🐢😓
@@andrewut7ya511 This is useful for a beginner like me, but wouldn't this be considered an emergency?
@@Noah_7s im not sure about long range turtle mode, i suspect after he failsafed he couldnt get connection to enter turtle mode and by the time he got close enough the battery may be dead along with the vtx due to overheating if no low power mode enabled.
@@andrewut7ya511 1 esc was dead, so turtle mode doesn't help
Those racerstar motors look smooth
Cool vid!
That’s quite a recovery 😎
Nice view but... UPS... 😅😔Sepertinya itu Drone kesayangan anda... Good job bro.... you find it...👍👍
Epic flight and I'm glad you were able to recover it. Did you get an idea of the distance you had to travel to find it? I fly mine in the South West of the US and there area areas I'm certain it would be stuck and that's a terrible feeling. Is your flight pack a 6s lithium-ion?
Thanks. I used the app "gps waypoint finder" to find it again. The App show you direction and distance.I have entered the last GPS coordinates transmitted by Crossfire in the app. Yes; I use liion 6S with 21700er Molicel cells. The best liions on the market with 45A
@@thomasgutweniger I was wondering how you managed to find it. Good effort
I enjoyed the beautiful and wonderful drone video. Happy New Year~
@@thomasgutweniger What is the setup for recording the GPS coordinates on the receiving end? Is this a feature on the RC controller, or did you use DVR recording to figure out the coordinates?
@@TheStormHelix ua-cam.com/video/1bdqiBW6fYc/v-deo.html
So you got a lil hike too xD
This dude gets 20 views a video then 20k. Congrats man.
yea need a rescue quad
damn bro! i lost mine around the same time as you....but lucky for you, you got it back. I did not
Nice flight
Epic flight!
That is seriously impressive
Worth it though. Amazing video.
Wow, what a video!!! +1 LIKE 💥 💥 💥 Great job man, keep going....
Danke
You were not kidding about the range!
Max Range without problems: 4-5 km
Strange that the esc chose to fail on a descend where its amp draw would have been much lower. Great recovery. Phew! 🥳
It is not correct. I fly there between 80 and 100% throttle position with high angle. Most correction of height I am only able to correct with pitch
@@thomasgutweniger ok cool. Glad u found it!
So you have to descend at high throttle?
@@situbes.972 Due to the high angle of attack, Yes. You can hear the difference between flying up and down also in the sound of the propellers
@@situbes.972 you don’t have to.. but as the video said go fast or go home!!! 💯
I did the same thing once , but run out of power , nice you got it back
Now you gotta make a Long Range quad with grappling claw and pan/tilt cam. So then that drone can rescue the others.
I was thinking that too! Hahaha. I had images in my head of the guys who make rescue boats to rescue their broken rc boat. Why not quads with that idea too? haha
How far out was it when you crashed? Awesome footage
That's what I call gps rescue lol good job bro
The old fashined gps rescue way, still works tho.
Great flight and rescue there! Why don’t u have a gps on that?
Wow that thing built up some serious speed
I only fly as far as I want to walk. Lol. Sht happens
Wow! How are you getting that much speed from 1200kv motors? Can you tell me the top speed of this quad?
Unglaublich!! Schöne dinge, Tolle sache! Von Seattle
What drone ate you useing? Also how far did you fly it in the first clip?
what was that, looks like you did a summersault, thank goodness you were close when it happened
I mean, how'd you even recover that? Did you have the GPS coordinates? That's a solid freaking hike!
What awesome scenery! Congratulations on the recovery. Did you failsafe because of terrain masking?
I always tell, that I went into failsafe because of a defective ESC (mosfet). In truth, I was only interested in recovering the drone ;)
Looking at the vision, id say the gimble became loose therefore changing the weight distribution towards the front?
Huh interesant Naja was solls allet gud aled prima, Nix zu sagen :D
