Hi from Australia, Carnivore 3mths. 63yo male. Lost 40lbs, arthritis gone, ibs gone, gastric reflux gone, joint pain gone, prostate issues gone, depression gone, anxiety gone, sleep apnoea gone, mental health great, sleep better. Thank you so much for your guidance and support. I'm grateful and am enthusiastically spreading the word. Im exercising hard daily, haven't done that since my early military days. Not just stopping the clock, winding it backwards.

      I’m an Aussie brother too. 54, lost 30kg (66lb).
Sleep Apnea, depression (Major Depressive Disorder), Pre Diabetes, ALL medications, Cravings GONE thanks to Lion “diet” (more like a lifestyle to me).
I still am a Chronic pain sufferer, but improvements have been made.
I find daily “earthing/grounding” by going outside in bare feet hosing anything that grows is helping many aspects of my life as well (sleep, anxiety just a couple). It plus daily morning outdoor sun exposure are helping. Strict IT, including TV use is helping.
I’ve only just started an exercise regimen again ever since my 8.5m fall of ladder in 2012.
      The future looks positive again.
      The struggle has/is worth it.
I hope my testimony can help someone that is where I was.

In 1967 my parents took me to the doctor because I refused to eat vegetables. He asked if I ate meat. I said I love meat.
He said then there's no problem. Now into my 60s I continue to be healthier than most and still don't eat vegetables.

Thank you Dr. Berry. I was told that a 7 was great and average for my age, by the medical group nutritionist! I was also told that I could consume up to 240 g of carbs a day on the diabetic diet the medical group was handing out. I complained to my doctor, who agreed with the nutrition dept. I'm telling you they want everyone on meds and consume whatever you want.

Doing this since July 24th, 2023 and have never felt better. MS symptoms and pain almost gone. Brain fog gone. Unreal how good I feel. The headache I've had for 8 years is gone and I honestly don't even know how not even one Dr I've seen has mentioned one word about adjusting what I eat. As an RN myself I'm pretty mad about the "nutrition facts" that have been touted throughout my education and career.

I watched the most recent documentary/movie on plant based diet this morning. And as an ex nurse/exercise physiologist/primal health coach, keto 9 years, now carnivore 131 days, I am sad to say it was well done and very convincing. (For those who don’t know better) I think however from my perspective their positive results were directly related to kicking processed foods and sugar. The long term effects of no fat at all however, which is what they are promoting (no animal products & no fats of any description) is frightening I find.
And in Australia it’s currently 8:36 AM on Sunday morning. Lol 😂

Diagnosed in 2019. Over 8 A1C when diagnosed. Put on metformin and statins . Felt horrible. Rebeled from Docs this past January 2023 after watching your Chanel. Went on Proper Human diet..this past week, had A1C 5.5, off all meds, all blood work back to normal except LDL up to 275...I feel great and lost 30 lbs...thank you. You saved my life. When Sherri and her Hubby explain to his doctor that he lowered his HbA1c with a keto or carnivore diet, they have to be prepared for the doctor saying that the diet will kill him with a heart attack because it raised his LDL-C. Many people find that their very low carb diet raises HDL-C, lowers triglycerides, and raises LDL-C. That was what my doctor told me when he saw my lipid lab results. I had to teach him about the difference between small dense LDL particles and large buoyant LDL, and that the ratio of trigs/HDL-C is an indicator of which type you have. Triglycerides/HDL-C ratio < 2 (in American mg/dL units) indicates that the large buoyant LDL predominates, which is good. Large buoyant LDL is not atherogenic and isn't correlated with atherogenic cardiovascular disease. Small dense LDL is atherogenic and thus bad.

@@eringo-bragh4243 He listened but didn't have any response after I explained that his concern about my LDL being 140 doesn't bother me because my TG/HDL ratio indicates I have pattern A (large LDL particles predominating over the small LDL particles). I don't know if he understands what pattern A and B are. I don't consider him a keto doctor -- when I asked him what he considers to be the best diet he said "Mediterranean Diet" not a low-carb Mediterranean-type diet.

    • @eringo-bragh4243
      @eringo-bragh4243 Рік тому

@@stanleysokolow I get you, I had a heart attack back in February and all the cardiologists want to blame Keto, even though it takes like 15 years to accumulate stuff for a blockage. If I recall Pattern A is not related to heart disease, while some are saying Pattern B is, but I haven't seen any research that links it to mortality. It took me 3 years before I got a decent TG/HDL ratio, but most docs are back in the stone age. After my heart attack, my cardiologist wanted me on a Mediterranean Diet as well, I sort of follow a Keto version though I'm still predominately meat based. The other issue is I'm back on a statin which I think is jacking up my sugar levels.

@beingbenign2685 It's been several months for me because I wasn't really invested. It was hard to give up the sweets. It would have a sweet here and there thinking that I have cut down on my intake, so that will be good. That smaller amount of sugar kept the inflammation going and caused me to stall on weight loss. Getting off of carbs 100% is making a huge difference. Also, cutting out stevia made a difference. Zero sweeteners. I have one more thing to get rid of, and that is heavy cream.

I'm 62, and I've been carnivore for over 10 months. I do eat cheese and probably more artificial sweeteners than I should. I've lost 90 pounds and I love that this is a diet that I can stick with forever, and it has eliminated much of the food cravings that used to plague me for 50 years. But I still have high blood pressure, and I've had two diverticulitis attacks in the past 10 months. Doctors are now encouraging surgery for me, and I'm not happy about that at all. I'm thinking of trying BBB&E to see if that will help. Has anybody had diverticulitis while carnivore?
