Claire theres a pic on farrow and ball's website that i love...bathroom with Hague Blue walls and a white clawfoot.tub...its heavenly!...i have been.on their website so many times to see real.people sharing pics of their rooms painted with F&B really fab inspiration

I love all of their dark blues. I used Stiffkey Blue with Inchyra Blue in my bedroom and they're both magical. It's pretty dark but very cocooning.

I am a huge fan of farrow and ball and actually made it a point to paint only their colours in my new appartment. Hague blue will be my bathroom ceiling... Yes... It will... My all time favorite is india yellow (it may sound crazy) but it is the most heartwarming, yet bold choice for my entryway, which is a beauty full wooden floor and a gold drawer (for all the things...ugh...) and a huge replica of the girl with the pearl earing by van meer. And somehow this colour pulls it all together, being bold and beautyfull and so drama free... You wouldn't think of a dark yellow to do those things, but it does. Oh... And my father is the handyman of the family, never seen him more excited then painting walls with their amazing formulas.

I love F&B. My front Living Room and Dining Room walls are painted with Shaded White and the ceilings are School House White. I just finished painting my master bedroom ceiling and walls with Great White. The trim color is All White. The master bath ceiling and accent wall are painted in Great White. The other three walls are Pink Ground and the trim is Pointing. We used Blackened in my husband's office on the walls and ceilings. One guest room has Blackened on the ceiling and accent wall with Skylight on the other three walls. We painted an accent chest in that room with Light Blue. The other guest room has Lime White on walls and ceiling and the headboard and dressers are painted with Slipper Satin. Like I said I love F&B. I'm wanting to go bold with my studio and use Picture Gallery Red. The room is 15' x 19' and has gabled walls on two sides. I'm trying to decide on what colors to use with the Red. I love tapestries and want to hang Belgian and French tapestries in the room. I can't decide how many other colors to bring in. F&B website shows Picture Gallery Red paired with Green Smoke. I've also looked at bringing in Hague Blue. I always buy sample pots and paint canvas boards to put up in the rooms to get an idea of colors. Do you have any favorite pairings for Picture Gallery Red?
I going to paint my front door Hague blue and cloakroom/wc vardo and hallway Wimborne white
I am going to paint my entrance hall and my living room in Hague Blue (including the ceiling). I will match it with Pointing (= a F and B white colour) in the kitchen and in another part of the living room ! Black and white tiles on the floor of the entrance and the kitchen, black cabinets. Happy decorating to all !

I am a long.time.lover of Farrow & Ball from Dorset England ! It's true what they claim...so highly.pigmented with colourant compared to any North American paint, so all the colours are multi dimensional and change with the amount light , which is very pleasing to my eye. If ypure curious , in my home I have used Wimborne White for Trim, Doors, Teresa's Green for daughters room, Green Ground for master bedroom, and outside I used Black Blue for door and Mouse's Back for trim, shutters, aluminum awning ....looked great with our older Hamilton red brick house ! Appreciate the exceptional quality and you wont balk at the price , can you tell i am in sales lol

I discovered this fantastic color much by accident last night....just surfing. I'm painting a buffet for our newly decorated Dining Room. We just had wainscoating installed up to 41", then painted above with SW "Intellectual Gray" . I'll be getting my sample of Hague Blue in the next few days. Assuming my Wife (Susie) likes it, I'll paint the Buffet. 2 Questions: Is it necessary to use the primer that F&B recommends? Also, my Wife wants a somewhat shiny finish. What finish would you recommend, and what product from F&B would achieve that look??? Thank you!!!
Hi Bob. Love the idea of using Hague Blue for a piece of furniture like a buffet! I've not used Farrow & Ball for painting furniture, other than my cabinet maker colour matching their Pitch Black for my bathroom vanity. If you download my Three Free guides for choosing paint colours, one of them is a reference for when to use which finish of F&B colours. It may be helpful to getting you the answer you need. Thank you for this video! Our bedroom is painted in Hague Blue, and one whole wall in the room is pine build in wardrobes, which I’m thinking of painting! What colour would you recommend? Or should I leave them be? Thank you
Hello Agnieszka. You could stick with the pine, although if it's got an orange tone (which pine often does) than it may be more bright than you'd like it to be against the Hague Blue. It really depends on the look you are going for and what else you have in the room. I'm thinking of painting my office hague blue and want to paint some yellow and pink accents. (Going for a moody & eclectic vibe) what shades of yellow and pink do you recommend?
Thanks for your comment Leah. Pink Ground by F&B goes great with Hague Blue. India Yellow works with Hague Blue as well, but I wouldn't pair these 2 colours next to each other, but they should be ok in the same room. Hi quick question. What colour would you use to varnish wall slats with using this blue Hague paint. I’ve painted the wall with this colour but thinking what your thoughts would be on the colour of varnish. Anybody? Cheers
I recommend speaking with a painter. I would defer to mine for confirming best finishes in situations like this.
Love the finish a lot of people try to copy but it just isn't the same....love mizzle by fb!

However unfortunately I brought a pot and it didn't match up to my previous wall which was also mizzle...I ended having to go out and buy more to match it :-(

I checked my fan decks and these colours look lovely together. As long as the white works with any other white elements that you have in the space, like a tile or fireplace stone, then you should be good!

I recommend searching the site of your preferred paint company to see all the different tones of blue/greens. It really depends on how blue or how green and if you want a dark or a light tone.

I used Farrow and Ball and was super disappointed with it. The smell took weeks to go away and one of the reasons I used it was that it was supposed to be super green. Basically, there was nothing special about it.
Interesting to hear your point of view Emma. We just used Farrow and Ball for the first time in our home, painting our basement Green Smoke. We found no lingering odors and my husband liked working with it. We both absolutely love the colour and can see why most people stick with F&B after using it once. To each their own, we could not be happier. Thank you for sharing your experience.
@@ClaireJeffordConsulting That's so weird that there was no lingering smell for you. The paint is beautiful on the wall, there is no doubt about that, but we had to air the house out for three weeks and had an air filter running day and night just to get it livable. I guess we got an off batch or something. Or I'm particularly sensitive...

It coordinates with all the darker shades of blues and grays and greens of fb too... so theres so many options and hues to work with coordinating because of its depth ...but glad you have the bigger chips because you cant appreciate until you actually use it on a bigger piece ... i think that’s true of most of fb paints so ive handmade samples myself out of leftover pieces of drywall lol ... they all change colors on time of day in rooms with sunlight ... i love color so i love that fb paints although solid colors are like paintings on a wall you never tire of ...
