Laura Quirke (guitar, vocals) and Claire Kinsella (cello, vocals) started performing together while studying music and languages in Maynooth University, Ireland. Harmonious vocal melodies simply accompanied by cello and guitar, lend a sincere and honest rootsy sound, borrowing from wide range of influences, traditional and alternative. The result is music described by Remy’s Music Blog as “soothing for the soul”.
In their relatively short life-span, LemonCello have played a sold out show in France at the beautiful Musée de La Piscine in Roubaix, supported Irish folk hero Damien Dempsey, played several music festivals across Ireland, and helped start ‘Common Grounds Collective‘, a group dedicated to building a network of musicians of all genres, and give them a platform to write and perform original works within a nurturing community environment.
LemonCello spent much of 2016 writing material in France and Ireland and are now preparing to record debut EP.

Every Myles's video is a masterpiece... so pure
I love the phrase "saunter on the wind."
The restraint and clarity are stunning. Nothing more than was necessary. Wonderful!

Happy Sunday
I listen to this at least once a morning.
I'd no intentions of sharing them with the world; until - I was reminded that love was meant to be shared.
I'm learning to play this but I can't play it without crying, it's so beautiful and invokes so many emotions.

from where you gather all this hidden talent
Well thanks for asking Sherry! I'm feeling chatty so I'll answer that. Then I shall most likely return here to delete my reply because I sound desperate for a conversation. We have a very unusual wealth of talent here in Ireland but sadly such a small population, and so, a very small music industry. A tiny handful of labels, promoters and radio stations are working together that would much rather you only knew about the artists they endorse, as there are not enough people here to buy their records and fill their gigs. This small Irish conglomerate of industry buddies conspire to pour money in to social media and advertising on the radio&television to keep it this way, drowning out the fierce amount of rival talent broadcasting online from bedrooms and garages across the nation.
I try to use social media constructively to find them, by choosing to connect with other music fans whose opinions I trust. I listen to what they're saying about who, follow with my clicks, my ears and then maybe my camera. It's essential for fans of music to find each other. Committed music fanatics will seek out new music in complete darkness. They endure the dark and grow within it, acting like a mycelium network of communication, feeling their way through unchartered labyrinthine underworlds as they find precious metals, and resurface to share their findings with other fanatics, and in many ways feel rewarded for that. So please stay tuned Sherry. Do some more digging. Make some more connections as you have done here, and SHARE. You are the reason why this hidden talent will surface. You are why others will find them. You, is my final answer.
