there is always a bit of gravel on the line. that means that, if you hit the line, you see the white color appear heavier.......I guess that's what he meant.
@Einars Dubrovskis Wow the fact that you cant see that the ball bounced left of the line at 0.25x speed means you need some glasses urgently. Maybe there is no fix tho.. I mean its clear and different mark than appointed by the umpire
@Einars Dubrovskis i dont know if know what youre talking about, the serving rules is exactly the same, the only change in area is the doubles alley, there is no returning rules, u can return the ball wherever you like in singles and in doubles, again, only change is that you have a little more room to work with in doubles

@@networth00 Where do you find chalk on a clay court? Chalk is only used to paint the lines on _grass_ courts. It was clay dust, so it doesn't mean anything. My personal rule: 99% out is still 1% in. I do not care if it barely touches the line, that is in. If I see a ball and I am even SLIGHTLY unsure of whether it was in, I will not call it out. It is only out if I KNOW that it is out.
Bad sportsmanship by gulbis, he knew the ball was way in. He wanted to say something about the second serve too at first but then he saw that it was right on the line and no other mark there.
Ernest Gulbis, great talent, wasted talent and not a very nice guy on the tour. I will put him in the same category as Soderling and Rosol, players that nobody actually liked.
If you look closely before and after the serve , you can actually see the mark right inside the box. The ball didnt even touch a line, it was waaay in lol. Really bad sportsmanship by gulbis🤦♂️
Ya this is a clickbait title. Gulbis though it was out as many would have since it was close and fast. He was going to point in the general area but then the umpire decided for himself. Can't blame either player.
@@preddy09 what? Gulbis obviously knew it was way in, you can clearly see how he reacts. the ball didnt even touch a line by far , that how far in the serve was. Watch it closely and you see the mark well inside the line. Bad sportsmanship by gulbis🤦♂️
thats absolute professionalism from ivo, refocusing immediately
And a dick move by Gulbis if he did it on purpose
You could see a massive puff of white paint though. I'm pretty sure Gulbis would've known.

Indeed. Much better temperament than some of the more elite players.
