Which only proves cancer's mortality rate ;) But on a serious note, I don't think the script was that bad. I believe most of the people hated the movie because the main lead simply doesn't get the girl in the end. And it's a Bollywood way to always get the girl. Even pieces of sh*t like Kabir Singh can't woo away a woman.
Mohanlal movies indeed has most extreme and diverse climax portions in indian movies...let it be the good ones like drishyam series ,lucifer, manichitrathazhu, bramaram, dasharatham, kireedam etc as well as the worst ones like monster, arattu etc
Sometimes I think when filmmakers are obsessed with the Market and trends they are like let's follow the trend and add some punch to the story forcefully, and that's where they ruin the experience...
Revealing that Aamir Khan has a twin brother in Dhoom 3 might be one more of those worst plot twists I have ever witnessed. It was totally unnecessary.
The director always copies foreign movies...jack sparrow character for thugs of Hindustan and prestige movie scenes and even the character has twins were copied in dhoom 3
Gumraah was such a smart thriller for the first 80% of the movie, but the final twist is so bland and underwhelming. I thought the reveal was going to be that the two brothers had been working together all along, which would’ve fit well with the theme of the movie much better than what we got.
Wasn't that how it ended in original film Thadam, did they change the climax in remake because in end of Thadam it was revealed that one brother was helping other all along.
@@afilmbyharsh Dunno how it happened in the original. But in the Bollywood remake, one brother figures out what the other one did. So on the same night, he sets about creating a story to confuse things. He figures out everything that happened right up to a cut occurring during the murder. Almost magically so.
For Jammy it was one of the best movies of 2023. Kabhi kabhi is bande ki choices are beyond me. He going gaga over RRR is also something I can't digest and I am a Telugu guy.
The problem with remaking OldBoy was, the time at which they decided to remake the film. Those days of Indian movies were strictly known for being Family Friendly and strict Black and White portrayal of characters. Meanwhile in Oldboy, everyone involved is a giant pos. So, it was doomed from the very start. Also, the one take fight scene in the Hindi remake is hilariously bad, omg.😭😭
@@raja-jl9osvery true. Zinda mein agar Sanjay Gupta wo sab dikha deta Jo Korean aur Hollywood wali Old Boy mein tha then it would have created quite an uproar and jaisa ki aapne kaha so aptly ki incest relationships wali themes pe bani koi bhi film ya series etc Indian public Aaj bhi nahi jhel payegi. Having said that, I was a bit apprehensive while watching Haider because usme ek do baar aise mauke aaye jahan laga humko kuch aisa dekhna na padh jaaye Jo hum dekhna nahin chahte. The incestuous undertone between the characters of Tabu and Shahid playing mother and son respectively was disturbing tbh.
Especially given how Bollywood movies try to make the quick buck, there was no way they were going to include something that controversial, let alone disgusting at that time. The producers want a U certificate for every film they do here, even now, with a few exceptions.

@@vaibhavshenoy2904 Bollywood is an industry that relies so much on commercialization that they force in songs that will be distributed by t series. The only reason people like Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor were wishing success for krk's new album was because of that: contractual obligations that come when T-Series distributes their movie songs. Except for actual good movies from India, most movies are marketed through their songs. People know maharaja because of maharaja, and people know Leo through the naa ready song, for example. When they still use forced songs as marketing tools, do you think they'd sacrifice viewers who are under 18?
Nothing in Ae Dil Hain Mushkil made sense to me. It was a complete torture ride for me. ( I'm a big sucker for old school rom come btw). I still get hate from everyone around for not liking ADHM. Bad performance, bad script, the second half made it unsufferable. The first scene Ranbir and Anushka were making out and later when they caught their partners they acted like victims. The only good performance in the movie was that of Fawad Khan . Lisa Ray was charming because the way her role was written and she performed. Ranbir was bad and overacted. ( hate me but he is overrated, good but overrated), Anushka did nothing beyond what she usually does. Aishwarya Rai ruined a great part, people just get mesmerised by her beauty but her performance was superficial and her role was half explored on script level, RK Aish was the selling point for me and I was disappointed that she was used like a cameo. Also, SRK was pathetic in his cameo, it was the worst scene in the movie ( got the maximum applause from people). When this movie worked, I realised in India stars can carry a film without a script and make it a hit. It's not just a Salman Khan thing. I will never forget the torture ride this movie was!
I agree with everything except your views about Zinda. OldBoy (Korean) dives into an extremely dark and incestuous story and screenplay which was diluted by Hollywood as well. The Hollywood version of Oldboy was also diluted and diverted the story in the climax to suit its viewers. But when we talk about Bollywood, Sanjay Gupta did Justice to the movie. This was released in 2006, the era of Emran Hashmi & Peak commercial cinema. Indian audience are very opposed to the incestuous themes and hence the creative decision. I think the Bollywood adaptation of Oldboy was Good enough to suit the audience. similarly with "I Saw the devil" the Korean movie whose plot was actually taken for "Ek villain" and moulded into a Love story/Thriller. I saw the devil is a much darker story about a serial killer which has an amazing climax. In my opinion Sanjay Dutt & John Abraham nailed their respective roles and it still was a dark movie of its time because actual incestuous themes are repulsed by Indian audiences.
The first Jammy video I watched was the ADHM review and I didn’t quite understand why he hated the ending so much. Fast forward to now, he’s still standing his ground and I have actually come to agree with him. All these years and his dissatisfaction with that storyline really gives me a chuckle. 😅

I liked Anushka Sharma decision to leave Bollywood coz she understood her horrible acting can no longer be tolerated by audience and there was no hope to come back .. kudos to her 🙏
The biggest flaw in Animals story was the amount of extra useless time given to Tripti Dimri's character and then the villain getting only 1 hour of screen time in a 3 hour 21 minute movie.
The entire animal movie is a flaw. How can one watch a movie made for chapri indian Audience and say biggest flaw is that? From the starting it's like a movie that is for illogical. The director itself will defend the character and doesn't know the difference between a protagonist and a hero.
Moreover the absolute cringe dialogue about women's body looks like written by someone who has never been close to a women nor went to school. The movie isn't some deep story driven one to have x analysis" on it. A masala no brainer movie.
Even Kabir Singh's ending was very convenient and filmy. My point is if Preeti left her husband after marriage because she too could never move on from Kabir then why marry in the first place. She's an urban woman and she could have told her groom before the marriage that she will never be able to truly love him and figure out a way to call off the marriage. One more addition should be Dear Zindagii.. in the end scene they shouldn't have hinted at SRK's character , falling for Alia. I mean, he's a professional therapist and she was her patient! As far as ADHM is concerned, KJo should have taken some inspiration from 500 Days of Summer and allowed Ranbir some redemption by accepting the truth and becoming a matured person. The only honorable character in the whole movie was Aishwarya's. The moment she realized , Ranbir didn't really love her but was more of a rebound, she let him go. Both Alizeh and Ayaan were immature people and even SRK's character didn't make much sense to randomly appear and give a lecture on "ek tarfa pyaar". The dude was married to Aishwarya but he/they let the marriage fall apart and now gives gyaan on pyaar! I myself have watched ADHM multiple times because the theme is something a lot of people can relate to. But man, the last 30 mins! It's lazy script writing.

mensxp's Race 3 review is the best "Race 3" review even better than 'only desi's' Race 3 review and best mesxp review till date. I still remember zain saying Salman's like, tum niche gutter me bam lagana mai upar club me nachunga heeriye........

The take on Animal was much-needed! Someone said it! Thank you. It doesn't make sense in the film at all, it was uncomfortable to watch if nothing else. And, arsenal? Really? Do you intend on settling at being the second-best in life? (And football!)
M. Night Shyamalan does plot twists really well but the one movie of his that ruined it for me was "The Village", I was hoping for some supernatural element but was left disappointed.
@@dontlookbehind1385 Oops..... sorry. But you know, movies is art and like all art it's subjective so just because I was disappointed doesn't mean you'll be disappointed. People like and dislike different things you have to make up your own mind about it.
I really enjoyed The Village. It portrayed illusion and deceiving in a breathtaking way. It showed how far one goes to lead their life in a supposedly righteous way not prepared for the consequences that may follow. It’s poetic.
For me the worst ending was Malang. I was genuinely enjoying the film until Disha Patani came alive at the end. Like the hero loses the love of his life and and he does everything possible to avenge her death just for her to come alive at the end?? That twist didnt make sense…
In retrospect I still love the movie but I agree with this part about her being alive at the end "for no reason". Khoon Bhari Maang, Koyla, even some Hollywood films.. and now this too
Well I felt like Leo could have given us an another Villain to team up with Surya. You know Leo secretly building up the industry back from ashes, pretending to be a family man and then go guns blazing in the final showdown. This now looks like an handicap match
OMG u won't believe. That was my exact same thought. I can't believe someone else thinks like me 😂. Are u me from another earth and are we a multiverse?? Lol😅 The movie wasted 2 great potential villians to team up with Surya that too for stupid reasons
Such a coincidence that I was excited for two movies in 2023 the most, Leo and Animal. Both movies in second half went on wrong track. I still think Animal's second half would have been better with exploring abrar haque and muslim side of family's backstory rather than that whole tripti dimri arc. Leo needs a full new rewriting with same basic plot and same aesthetics, from the scratch in my opinion.
@@TriedRefusedProductions Yeah dude. You remember the scene where Abid Haque (Saurabh Sachdeva) tells his bhabhi (Abrar's 3rd wife) that Abrar isn't mute since childhood but the trauma of seeing his grandfather getting burnt made him mute. This whole scene was meant to be a flashback scene in between the Duniya Jalaa Denge song in Abrar's mind, just like Ranvijay was recalling his father while fighting in climax.
That would've been better. Seeing a backstory of the Haque brothers would've been so much better than Abid telling Abrar's 3rd wife about him being a mute. That would've been so much better than that whole Zoya angle.
I liked the Khalid twist in war but the thing which ruined it was that the makers already showed it in the trailer and the twist got wasted. Still Khalid is Tiger's best role and best performance.
I remember when I left the theater after watching War, I was so pissed off because of that unnecessary plot twist. I had been enjoying the action, which felt very fresh for Bollywood, and the story was decent. However, when they revealed the twist involving Tiger Shroff, the first image that came to my mind was Deadpool saying, "That's just lazy writing." I absolutely hate the trope of using a doppelganger in a film, as it completely betrays the audience's trust and makes it hard for them to take any shit seriously afterward. To make it worse, they didn’t even foreshadow the twist at all. It felt like the final season of Sherlock, where anything could happen without any buildup, just for the convenience of the writers.
Actually they showed few things like the doppelganger shooting using his right eye without the blind spot hindering him. Plus not following Kabir's instructions to always fight left to his partner to avoid the blind spot.
Man... I just watch videos to compare notes 😂😂😂... Every word you say is on point with the exact thoughts I've gone through while watching these Movies... Keep it up Bro... ❤❤❤

It was so cringe and stupid.
Zinda with the changes you pointed out, if it was to be released today I think your thoughts hold good... .Zinda is still one of my favourite movie as it is made
I agree for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. What a horrible horrible painful experience that movie was. It felt like a forced movie down your throat. Similar to SRK's stupid movie Jab Harry Met Sejal!! Just god awful!! What was that movie and why was it even made?? Just sad. You have a possible good story plot gone so bad and you don't know whether to finish the gunk you have stepped in or run away!!
I totally understand why Sanjay Gupta didn't "adapt" (or ripoff) Oldboy's shocking reveal. It would almost certainly have been a nightmare with CBFC and even if it somehow cleared it it would have become a topic of boycotts/protests and all sorts of noise. I don't think audiences were ready for it then, even now it would only be palatable on OTT.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is the movie I watched on my first date with my ex because, well, Ranbir Kapoor was her favorite *eyeroll*. But on a serious note, I don't think the script was that bad.

The biggest flaw in Animals story was the amount of extra useless time given to Tripti Dimri's character and then the villain getting only 1 hour of screen time in a 3 hour 21 minute movie.
completely agree with your analysis. i would have loved to see more of Bobby Deol in Animal than the useless Tripti Dimri cameo
1hr😂😂😂it was barely 30 min dude
I think he got even less than that. And I was cringing so hard during tripti’s scenes that I just wanted to turn off the film

For me the worst ending was Malang. I was genuinely enjoying the film until Disha Patani came alive at the end. Like the hero loses the love of his life and and he does everything possible to avenge her death just for her to come alive at the end?? That twist didnt make sense…
I think he was doing all that because kunal khemu and friends framed him for disha patani murder and put him behind bars...
May have been forced because they wanted to make a sequel
In retrospect I still love the movie but I agree with this part about her being alive at the end "for no reason". Disha patani was pregnant and kunal killed their child ... so that was the main motive for vengeance.

Leo needs a full new rewriting with same basic plot and same aesthetics, from the scratch in my opinion.
Still frustrating how Vanga states he had shot the entire Abrar flashback but it cut it out of the final edit

Yeah dude.
They shouldve directly remade the original.

I had been enjoying the action, which felt very fresh for Bollywood, and the story was decent. However, when they revealed the twist involving Tiger Shroff, the first image that came to my mind was Deadpool saying, "That's just lazy writing."
I absolutely hate the trope of using a doppelganger in a film, as it completely betrays the audience's trust and makes it hard for them to take any shit seriously afterward.
