Been looking forward to this one since you mentioned it on the Pod! I've been having alcohol free beer through the week and I think I need to switch up to ones specifically made by none alcohol companies rather than alcohol free versions of lagers/ales! Cheers 🍻
@@RobbieKnoxmakes me an animal then.👹 haven't done yt taste test vids but hate it when beers are chilled to the point that they numb your taste buds. whenever i have beer at home it's stored in the cupboard, never the fridge. the heating is never whacked up beyond 18 in the winter, so its not like a room temperature beer would be 'warm' just not chilly cold.
I’m a big fan of the alternating pint and then pint of low/0% alcohol method. It means you can go the distance but not take the toll of all the alcohol. Excellent research gents
just got back from my cousin's funeral, and I am so grateful to have a robbie video. some robbie-shaped escapism from what has been the most tragic day. thank you sir x
Just found your channel (know you from Happy hour). This video is great. I went sober this year and have been slowly working my way through the non-alcoholic beers so this is an amazing find, love the honest reviews. Also loved the Rob Kellas interview (as a TPD fan), like that your content feels real. Keep it up!
The Drop Bear Tropical was my favourite prior to watching this - I'm glad to see I'm not alone in thinking this! Stormtrooper Space Race comes closer, tough.
Absolutely loved this video fellas keep It coming! Grabbed a few non alcoholic for mid week footy tonight, could be handy before the weekend. Viva la Happy Hour 🇳🇺
thankyou robbie im 22 at uni and i have never drank and never will due to my own personal choices always felt left out but im gonna try some of these in the future
I’ve been sober since the beginning of the year and only really stuck to the Guinness Zeroes and discovered the Ghost Ship 0.5% in the summer and it was a game changer for the warm weather! It always blows me away how much variety there is for low and no beers now and there’s deffo a few more I’m going to try after this video 🍻😆
There's a great other one from Lowlander, it's the white beer 0%, don't know if you can get it over there but it's a great one for the summer with a lot of citrus.
It's great that this market has grown so much recently and there are more options than just Becks Blue these days. It definitely seems like the more successful AF beers are the more extreme fruity and hoppy flavours which some of the alcoholic ones can often taste non-alcoholic too. I'm surprised not to see the Guinness 0.0 in here which apparently is one of the most convincing alternatives, although I've not tried it. It's mad that AF beers are usually a similar price to the alcoholic beers even though they don't incur the same duty. I know that the beers where they remove the alcohol are more expensive to produce than boozy beers with the extra production process but the ones fully fermented to a low ABV shouldn't be really.
Have been wanting to get off the beer for a while and wondered if going down this route would be a good idea. Thanks for uploading this video Robbie, it’s much appreciated and helpful 👍🏻
Have you had the Asahi yet Robbie? What's your verdict? It's one of my favourite lagers so would be interesting to see how the low/no alcohol version compares. Like you've said before on the pod (can't remember if HH or Moon), some of the major players seem to be particularly lacking in their low/no offerings.
Good video. Ive always enjoyed beers in the house of a Sunday, cooking a roast and warching the footy. But realised im starting the working week on the wrong foot - feeling a bit tired and groggy. So last few weeks when ive fancied a beer ive been drinking the Erdinger no alcohol. Its great.
Alcohol free beer is perfect for people who don’t drink alcohol but want to fit in especially British people has massive drinking culture and people tend to feel left out as they don’t drink. Have something like soft drinks make you stand out. When I’m out with mates, I no longer feel the odd one out.
I never drink alcohol because it makes my ADHD 10 times worse. Even after half a pint I feel myself getting bored and restless. I know non alcoholic beer makes most people turn their noses up and that's fine. If you like alcohol it makes sense that you would think it a terrible idea, but after quite a few years of just not drinking, I discovered through non alcoholic beer that I actually do like the taste of beer, but obviously not the effects, so I drink Guinness, Heineken, Stella Artois, Saint Etienne (Aldi), Budweiser zero sometimes (not my favourite), Erdinger, Birra Moretti and often an independent beer if I'm at a specialist pub/restaurant. To be honest, the niche stuff seems to be the nicest, but I don't really know why that ought to be the case.
I drink the alcohol free Guinness and for my money its the best. I've blind taste tested friends and family with it and most can't tell the difference. Great video.
Was about to complain about the lack of Guinness but then read the description 😅 But would’ve loved to hear the Guinness expert (Stevie’s) opinion on it
Lucky Saint ice cold the best 0% Lager ive tasted! Ive completley ditched alcohol through the week. Also a huge exponent of the one full fat, then one 0% on a night out. Also
Mash Gang make a few super duper non-alcoholic beers... They don't work out muuuuuch cheaper than a full fat beer. Buuuuut... If you're the designated driver, wanting a good time, and not just wanting to drink the standard Becks Blue or Birra Moretti zero... Whyyyy not... You only live once.
@@MalcolmTann0the non alcohol beers can actually be very good for you, they are a great source of dietery silicon, many enjoy drinking them due to the medication they are on not allowing them to drink there favourite alcoholic drink also,

Yeah, there’s a real mix in quality of them. Some lovely ones out there and a few horror shows.
This is why Robbie is the king of these types of videos. The beers are CHILLED. So many UA-camrs do taste tests with room temperature drinks. Madness

Yeah, to be honest for a bit I didn’t see the point but I’m a full convert now!
I don’t drink beer I drink spirits (mainly spiced rum & gin) and wine. I wish there was more non-alcoholic versions
There's plenty of non-alc wines; with spirits, it seems pointless, seeing how their strength is so integral to their taste

Your complaint would have been justified.
Should have tried a few Mash Gang tins. Best AF craft beer by miles!! If you’ve not tried anything by them before I’d highly recommend it!
Check out Mashgang, Robbie. Think you’d like their beers.
Erdingen Blue the best AF imo
Stevie hates it

Given me a more positive review of non alcoholic bevvys, gets rid of the shame! Thanks guys!💙

Can I do a rating ketamine video with you
Full marks for it all.
why did Stevie say “not really” when Robbie asked if he’s had a non alcoholic beer? you either have or you haven’t? 😂
perhaps he's tried one in the middle of an alcoholic sesh, so didn't really feel any benefits/too smashed to taste test accurately

Guinness 0%
Yeah, that’s awesome. I should have included it.
