Plans for these 6 projects: makesomething.com/6craftprojects I misspoke at the beginning and said 10 projects. That was the plan for this video but then edited down to 6 and forgot to record a new intro. Opps!
Love your channel. Beginner woodworker (female, 61, probably not your regular audience) and I’ve learned a lot from you… as for Wen - I have a track saw from them and LOVE IT.. of course I’ve never used an expensive tool so I have nothing to compare to except how much easier it is to breakdown plywood. Anyhoo, thank you for the ending! And I love the talking head stuff.❤
Hi, I will be 60 in February and just starting out in wood working so we are NEVER too old to start new things. Good luck with all you do and wish me luck please too. I am nervous around the big saws and that has held me back for years. With the help of my son, I am sure I will get to creating things soon. A great 2024 to you!
I remember fondly the video you made featuring your Grandpa at 100 years of age still woodworking in his shop. What a beautiful story! I’m sorry to hear that you now have lost him. Maybe something that could be positive from his loss would be to channel his love of woodworking into your future projects. As you work on each piece of furniture for the new house, keep thinking of him and how proud he would be of your accomplishments! That will no doubt give you even greater joy and satisfaction as you complete each project. I’m looking forward to traveling with you on this journey via UA-cam! Keep the creative juices flowing! 😊
I’ve been following you for about 4+ years now, since I started woodworking. You’ve been my favorite TV woodworker since I saw the inlay video you did all those years ago. Anyway, I just wanted to say, since I’ve been following you so closely, I felt it when you said Grandpa Picciuto died this year. I’m really sorry to hear that, man. It’s very clear how cool of a relationship you guys had, and the respect you give him on your show must have made him proud of you and proud to be the guy who gets that kind of recognition. Anyway, my wife and I are extremely excited to book a weekend at your AirBNB and some shop time with you when all that gets rolling. We are literally putting some income tax big-money aside for this so we can actually make it happen. We are both huge fans. Anyway, your videos only get better. Thanks for making them and putting in the work to make them
Man. So sorry about the loss of your Grandpa. He was such a cool dude. I'm glad you convinced him to let you make a couple videos about him and his shop. So excited to see your progress on the rental property!
I don't know why but for some reason you were a hard sell for me. But I have grown to absolutely look forward to your video's. I have grown to love your humor and definitely look forward to your new home series where you will be making all of this new furniture. Love your wife and dogs as they always add a special something to your videos. Keep up the great work!!!
My deepest condolences for your loss of your grandfather. I’m really excited to see your house build, wow what an idea. You and your wife are so creative and passionate about woodworking I’m like a moth to a light. Happy new year and best of luck in your business next year.
I was super sad to hear about your grandpa. It’s been so fun following you and I love hearing you talk about your grandpa. I had a great relationship with my grandpa too.
David and Kelly are like the Penn and Teller of woodworking 🙂 Analytics shmanalytics, let's see more of Kelly in your videos, especially highlighting the thought processes behind the design for the flipper house.
Great projects. I don't comment much, but I've been watching your channel for years. I remember the video you did with your grandpa in his shop. He seemed like an amazing guy. I'm sorry for your loss.
I stayed to the end. My condolences for the loss of your grandpa. To honor him I will Keeep Moving! Always love it when the Mrs makes it into your videos...somehow it make it seem more like you're just a regular guy having fun in your garage. Weird, I know. Can't explain it, but that I have the same reaction to Peter Brown. May you always find water and shade.
I am so sorry to hear about Grandpa Picciuto. It was always nice to see him in your videos. Happy Birthday Duke and hello Kelly, good to see you again as well. Can't wait to see you blow up even more next year. Now, if you don't mind, I need to go Make Something.
As a WEN 12in Drill Press owner, I can say that it was 100% worth the money, but you also get what you pay for. Not a machinists drill press, but perfectly solid for woodworking. Buy good drill bits, they make a huge difference to its performance.
Hi Kelly, Happy Birthday Duke, Dave I’m so sorry for the loss of your Grandfather sending prayers to you and all your family 🙏🏻❤️ it’s not an easy thing I lost my Grandfather at the age of 99 just a month shy of 100 and he was my biggest blessing and where I got a love for woodworking when I was a kid and now trying to get back into woodworking in his memory and you and your videos have been one of the biggest inspiration for me in this journey so Thank you for all the amazing videos and amazing ideas. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s to your family
Sorry for your loss. I know your grandpa is smiling down from heaven at you. Thanks for the video. Hope you and your family have a good Christmas. Oh happy birthday Duke: I love walnut too
I skipped past most of the action because I had to sell all my tools when I moved country and went to the talkie section! Good to see your "silent business partner" 🤣 Thanks for all the knowledge, wisdom and entertainment on your channel and the podcast this year. Have an excellent 2024 bud!
Happy Birthday Duke. Love your videos. My twin brother showed me this and haven't stopped since. Always watch your videos through unless I'm following along and pausing and stopping. My twin and I started our own painting business May of 2021, starting 2024 we are exited for things to start getting bigger. We mainly operate word of mouth so can't wait. Making my dad an all wood crossbow for Christmas this year. We are wood whittling a bunch of ornament as well (never whittled before). Please do not ever stop making content.
Hello, Kelly. HBD, Duke! Thanks for the gift, David. I can watch woodworking videos anywhere. I watch yours because of the style and personality. A little talking a-ok. Happy New Year!
So sorry for your loss dude. I heard a lot about grandpa on the making it podcast. Sounds like one of a kind. And yes, please add more of you being you into your videos. 🤙
Alright, I just had the silliest idea for a project that is right up your alley; Nesting Bandsaw Boxes. Start with a big piece, like 24" on a side, cut a bandsaw box out of it. Then, with the material you removed from the drawer, turn that into a box, etc. etc. Bonus points if they actually end up fitting inside one another.
Happy birthday Duke. Aw gorgeous wee dogs. We've always been dog people. Had a gorgeous golden lab retriever (that wouldn't retrieve a thing unless she felt like it!) for 13 years. We miss her still. Now with two kitties who'll be 2 in March. Christmas tree is fun! Daily workout, several times a day. It's a different ball game with cats but we love them too. They're mad fun. Anyhoo, new subbie here. Here's to 2024. Looking forward to seeing how the new house goes. Merry Christmas.
Happy birthday Duke. David, I know your grandpa was an inspiration for you, and you are continuing that trend by being an inspiration for myself and many other makers . Love your work and your vids. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I look forward to seeing the house develop.
You and Kelly have a real Penn and Teller vibe going 😄 Love your videos. Always appreciate your creativity, something I wish was more of a strength of mine. Keep up the great work! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
I always watch to the end, thanks for the code🙏So sorry about the passing of your grandpa. Happy Birthday Duke. I enjoy sitting down in my favourite chair and seeing if there’s a new “ Make Something “ video. Very informative and entertaining. Love the banter between you and your brother as well.
Cheers. Happy birthday to the pup. Watching this video I got a strong Penn and Teller vibe. In a very good way. Well done. I’m a new Patreon member and looking forward to seeing you blow up!!
Love your work. These small builds are great and would definitely make awesome gifts! I stuck around to the very end, cheers! I have a dachshund named Chilli and we’re his 3rd owners, not sure his age either but we think at least 12 now. He’s a long hair and a total barking jerk but the best cuddler and we love him. My Nono Zambelli was a woodworker hobbyist and made all kinds of furniture. Nothing perfect but it’s mostly all still around 40+ years later. You’re lucky to have had your grandfather around as mine passed before I got to know him. I think my passion for woodworking comes from him. Anyways I wish you and your wife all the best in 2024! Let’s blow this place sky high baby!
I think that I will enjoy watching you 'outfit' the new house. Maybe, I'm a little weird,(I am certified weird), but I enjoy listening to you talk. You have a wit and sense of humor that I think is a lot of fun. I especially enjoy the banter between you and 'Dangerous Dan'. I look forward to the remaining December videos and to watching you build things for the house. Merry Christmas. Thanks for the video.🤠
Happy birthday Duke! David, good luck to you and Kelly on the new project - I love your videos now, but I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing you furnish your new place and that can only add to your fan base. I loved your chat at the end of this vid, but I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I hope the analytics didn't let you down. All the best from Australia, Mandy 🎄
Being a creator (small creator) myself I know all too well to stay until the end. That's were all the good stuff is. Thanks for the video and the freebie. Marry Christmas to you, ,Kelly, Wallie, and Duke (and Happy belated Birthday).
These are such nifty little projects that would make great gifts. Thanks for sharing how to make these. It was great to see Kelly on screen with you for a bit too! Also, hopefully your fur kids Wally (Wallnut) and Duke (happy birthday buddy) don't become big headed now that they are UA-cam superstars 😉 Merry Christmas to you too and I really hope 2024 is a year of phenomenal growth for your channel.

Happy birthday Duke and hello Kelly. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR ART AND LOVE TO WATCH YOUR VIDEOS! I made it to the end and I am gonna try to make a couple of these gifts. Thank you so much for sharing your talent but mostly your time! I learn so much from you and I am grateful for you and your channel. If I could pay you I would most certainly be a patron for you. Thank you again. One Love to ALL!
I did notice the different table saw. Ive been woodworking for 11 years now. My shop when I started compared to now…. Soooo different. But I always liked watching videos no matter the tools they used. I watched Jays Custom Creations when he was working out of the apt with less tools and WWMM with Steve. BUt I also watched Mark the Wood Whisperer. It didn’t make me think “Oh I could make that if I had those tools…”. Instead it helped me learn not just how to make… but what to look for when I did upgrade my tools. And sometimes I found that I cold make the same things on my cheaper tools and with less tools. I just had to be creative. Always excited to see what you are doing next. Going to have to try that coupon! Thanks! Happy Holidays!
I am sorry to hear about your Grandfather. I remember the video of him making all those wooden crosses. He seemed like an amazing man and we are all better for having a brief look into his life and your relationship with him. I mean, the projects in the video were awesome too... but I like to think my priorities are straight sometimes ;-) Cheers!
Holy crud that ending was awesome! Agreed - the videos keep getting better. Happy birthday Duke, hi Kelly, and thanks David for being so funny and talented
-2 because we have different definitions of "basic" woodworking tools, but +3 for fouble sided tape on router base for temporary "sled'...j/k thanks for the creativity sharing! sharing
These are really fun projects. Nicely done using all the more entry level tools too. I wanted to see that clock in a variety of colors - sort of partially opaque different vibrant colors. I think it'd look cool that way too.
Thanks for always being yourself. I’m putting my own videos out again soon. You always inspire to do more and get better. Merry Christmas & happy new year!
Dave, your channel places a smile on my face everytime i watch a video. Keep up the great work and yes to more commentary, absolutely and more bantering between you and your brother!! Thanks for the gift and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Belated HBD, Duke!
Very creative, millions of likes
Flocking fibers sounds like something you say when cursing in front of kids.😅
🤣🤣
Or a band from the 80s
I didn't get it until I said out loud in the bathroom (echo) hahaha funny 😂
I used flying fish till now but will change to flocking fibers😂😂
LOL, I say “cuss words!”. It always makes those around me laugh, especially my sons.
I love how Kelly didn't say one word the whole segment and just mimed the whole thing. 😂
And RiP to Grandpa Picciuto! That man was great!
Love your channel. Hi Kelly and happy birthday duke! Thanks for a year of artistic woodworking and design. You inspire me greatly and wish you all the best in 2024!
Just LOVED the end of your video! Awkward or not, you are wonderful!!! Love your excitement, passion, and positivity! Hi Kelly!!!
It's always great when a couple actually looks like a couple. Like they were meant to be together.
Happy Birthday Duke! Your dogs are so cute. I not only sang to my dog, but composed impromptu songs to encourage him.
We're so excited for you two! You're *so* gonna blow up in 2024. We believe in you. =D

I hope you and Kelly both have a stellar Christmas period and a great start to 2024 David.
Some cool and quick projects to consider, thanks for sharing those with us. Your Grandfather still woodworking at 100 is such an inspiration!
Happy Birthday Duke! Appreciate these David. Share and work with my Granddaughters so they can learn, build gifts and confidence.

That clock is elegant and clean.
I made it to the end and got the spine jig. thank you.
The sand in the place shirt reminds me of an old Bahamas shirt I had as a child. Best wishes.

Cheers's to Grandpa ✝ Thank you for introducing us to him. Looking forward to another year of entertaining videos.
Cheers to you both. My condolence on your spilled drink. :)
I have quite a few wen tools and I honestly love a lot of them. I don’t have too much to complain. Well worth what you pay
I just love how you “Flock” your Flocking technique is very unique. Keep on Flocking 👍🏽
And: Happy Birthday Duke 🎉
Did I miss something? You no longer have the regular TS?
NeverMind… I just had to keep watching.
More Kelly! More casual conversation! #143 I love you.
These are such nifty little projects that would make great gifts. Thanks for sharing how to make these.
It was great to see Kelly on screen with you for a bit too! Also, hopefully your fur kids Wally (Wallnut) and Duke (happy birthday buddy) don't become big headed now that they are UA-cam superstars 😉
Merry Christmas to you too and I really hope 2024 is a year of phenomenal growth for your channel.
I might be late but I always stay to the end. Great video, can't wait for 2024. Sorry for the loss of your grandpa this year, lost mine as well.
Hi Kelly and Happy Birthday Duke! I’ve been a subscriber for a hot minute and you have been a source of inspiration to me. Let’s blow up in 2024!
"analog clocks are beautiful and timeless" timeless because most young people don't know how to read them.....
most of my tools are dewalt (for no other reason than that's what was on sale when I bought my first tool and I didn't want to get into multiple battery platforms). I did buy a few WEN tools though and I always tell everybody that I've been super impressed by them so far. They are definitely great for starter tools. I have the oscillating spindle/belt sander, drill press, band saw, rolling dust collector, and the track saw. The only one that is sketchy is the track saw if you wanna do beveled cuts. breaking down sheet goods at 90 degrees is perfect though.
I enjoyed the talking at the end. I prefer videos with talking in general. all the videos with background music or nothing at all usually get sped up to 5x or faster or just skipped all together.
Happy Birthday Duke!!!!! My furpeople have birthdays coming up next month. Cupcakes all around!!!!!! Keep up the good work Sir.
Have a great day, Duke! a great life!
Happy birthday Duke. Merry Christmas to you & yours. Take care & stay safe.
Merry Christmas to you and your family! I enjoy your channel and mix of projects. I have been a maker for a long time, but just getting into the more serious side of woodworking and have learned a lot as well as being inspired by you. I do hope your 2024 is as awesome as you are hoping it will be! Also, it is nice to see another person from NW Ohio doing great things!
Happy birthday Duke ! From my 12 rescue dogs my wife and me :)
Happy birthday Wally, nice to meet you Kelly. Great video.
Thank you for this year. Can't wait for 2024 and more house projects! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
More casual Dave, and some brother Dan please!
HEY!!! Can he be a Making It guest?!?!? PLEASE!!!!
Hello Kelly! Happy Birthday Duke! My prediction, 1 million subscribers before the end of 2024! Blowing up!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUKE!!! You ROCK Wally!!!
My condolences, David.
Your grandfather was a great American.🙏🏽
We also have dachshunds! Your guys are sooooo cute. Love your station and have recommended it and your books to many people. Merry and happy.

Happy Birthday Duke. Your puppers are adorable. You def need to do something inspired by them for the house. 😘
Sorry about your grandpa, he seemed wonderful. Hi Kelly! Happy Birthday Duke! Get Wally a treat for his time!
Happy birthday Duke and hello Kelly. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR ART AND LOVE TO WATCH YOUR VIDEOS! I made it to the end and I am gonna try to make a couple of these gifts. Great ideas, I really need a band saw! I have a few Wen tools as a weekend warrior and they've been great. Happy birthday Duke!
I am sorry to hear about your Grandfather. I remember the video of him making all those wooden crosses. He seemed like an amazing man and we are all better for having a brief look into his life and your relationship with him. Cheers to both you and Kelly too...
Cheers to you and Kelly too!
I stayed until the end and enjoyed your informal chat. Wishing you a blow up year in 2024. Sounds exciting.
Happy Birthday Duke. Hope you had an amazing day.
Holy crud that ending was awesome! Agreed - the videos keep getting better. Happy birthday Duke, hi Kelly, and thanks David for being so funny and talented
