This is basically TG’s formula: James would’ve won, but made a mistake that cost him the game, Jeremy does something reckless and barely wins, and Richard fails in style.

That’s exactly what you are taught at paramedic courses. The job is to save as many lives as possible, not fight for every single one. It’s a tough decision to make (luckily I didn’t have to make it yet) but it’s something every rescuer has to keep in mind.

This show is a cure for depression. I'm not even really kidding. I've found when I'm having a really rough one that if I watch something like this show's old eps or listen to great stand up comedy my depression melts away. Which of course makes you think it's the laughter or just the big smile you get from those things but for me those two things are life savers. Even music can't do for me what they do. Thankfully I'm not a really depressive person but when I'm feeling it this is what I go for and it's really amazing.
This challenge was one of the absolute best. I remember seeing the patient ejection through the window by Hammond on the Sunday night show and I nearly shat myself laughing
I love how well Jeremy played Virgil with the conveyor belt, to enter his 944 (TB2) through the roof and for the palm trees to drop in true Thunderbird 2 fashion!!!
12:04 Jeremy with the handbrake turn, into a no look, behind the back, patient delivery assist to the hospital, at the buzzer, is some incredible driving. Sometimes his skill level is so good, it’s frightening. He’s absolutely perfect in every way measurable.
Jeremy is a skilled driver but you can see at 12:13 the gurney is rolling to the right side of the door, then they cut to a more zoomed in shot where it's rolling straight through the door. They just did a great job editing it all together quickly and with consistent audio.
Y’all uploading these has taken me back so crazy. Have to watch every time and never regret it. Seriously these dudes are some of the greatest ever when it comes to the art/craft of television
I hope when we no longer have this 3 gents on this big ball of dirt, someone does gods work and compiles every single second of footage with these 3 together.
There are so many hilarious and fantastic moments with this challenge, from the Star Trek 'Red Alert' sound to James perfectly imitating the old 'Thunderbirds' motion, the sirens, with Richard shooting the patient through the window and James dragging his patient around being the crowning moments.
I hadn’t seen that episode before, I haven’t laughed so hard at an ending to something in so long 🤣 Hammond actually killed his patient 🫣🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I nearly fell over
I've seen every episode of Top Gear and Grand Tour, there are so many funny moments, hilarious dialogue, and EPIC adventures. This skit/segment would absolutely land in my top 10 favorite episodes of Top Gear... "In the wuuurld"
Which of the trio are you trusting to save you in an emergency?
none 😅😂
I don't want these idiots to help me
the Orangutan
i'm better off saving myself than trusting THEM
If they respond to my emergency, I already accept my fate
This is basically TG’s formula: James would’ve won, but made a mistake that cost him the game, Jeremy does something reckless and barely wins, and Richard fails in style.
Absolutely, but it never got boring for 22 years. Incredible.
Hello viewers, as you can imagine I've done this properly.
Buffeting ensues.
And James says "Cock." Gotta have that.
Plus Richard crashes and his car catches on fire
It took me almost a full decade to realize how hilarious it is that Richard’s patient delivery system is called the “coup de grace”
I nearly peed my pants when I first saw that, Hilarious 🙂😆🙂
Why is it?
@@ilikespinning8074 Coup de grace can be translated as a "blow of mercy." In this case, Hammond's delivery system is an act of mercy because it puts patients out of their misery, i.e, kills them.
"Hammond, you blithering idiot!" 🤣🤣 That response has made it even better.
I have watched this literally a million times and I couldn’t stop laughing at how precisely Hammond hammered the patient into the window
Imagine laying on the ground with 5 minutes to live and your EMT looks at you and is like *Tough luck my guy* and walks away lol
or "2 minutes, waste of time"
It does happen, but most of the people who witness that...are unavailable for comment

that’s essentially what triage is
Or imagine being taken to hospital and before blacking out the last thing you hear is "this patient is really annoying me now"
- James, where is he?
- In the pub, I imagine
My favorite line, pure gold lmao

The biggest threat to our ambulance service are Peugeot drivers.
Unless they are all gone we're all going to die
James walking like a puppet is still the best part
Heh, genuinely agree. I was a huge fan of Thunderbirds as a kid, seeing him do that was both hilarious and nostalgic :P
BUT THE PEUGEOT DRIVERS KILLED MILLIONS EVERY YEAR WITH THEIR BAD DRIVING
James imitating the puppetry is low-key the funniest part.
8:58 "I've been reasonably polite about this so far, but I would like you to get out of the f'kng way..."
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I remember watching this when it first came out. Never seen my dad laugh so hard when Richard fired his patient into the hospital.
That was me just then, first time seeing it, I almost fell off my chair
YOU'RE IN GOOD SHAPE MY MAN, I CAN LOOK AFTER YOU!
Get in!
WITH OUR PATIENTS CAREFULLY LOADED@treffer1
James just standing there motionless when the race starts at 5:45 kills me
He is Captain Slow for a reason.
still in thunderbirds character I suppose.
6:18 “With the patient’s carefully loaded…” - “GET IN!” 😂
Also May using some other patient's hand to guide the stretcher
So where's the patient?
- In the pub I imagine..
🤣
I've rewatched this episode so many times 😭 Richard in particular is GOLD
