    The reason I got into collecting was because I wanted to make my own figures and be a designer in the toy industry, even for boxes and stuff, just designing whatever. Your videos are inspiring as you're the only person that I know of who is sharing anything close to the knowledge of production. Thank you for this! I don't know if you aspire to design in the toy industry also, but you would totally rock! You've got good stuff going in already. Keep building and hope to see you at the top!

    Sweet! I just got into resin printing, needed it for some prototypes I'm working on in my business (I'm a gunsmith/ firearm manufacturer) was able to successfully print a prototype of a slide i designed, but when i for it to function check it (no live ammo, just dry fire) i punched the striker aright through the retaining wall. It still worked for what i was trying to accomplish (fitting and ensuring proper dimensions and tolerances) but i would've liked to keep the prototype for my own records and chronicling the process. I'll try this mix and maybe I'll get a solid one that can stand multiple tests. The first slide is already getting into the steel phase regardless. I didn't have to change anything about the actual file, it's ready to go into CNC already.

    I print wargaming miniatures and busts and also mix resins, with great results. I'm using a Sunlu mix of Standard:PA:ABS; 50:20:30. Has some flexibility, while still retaining great detail. The Sunlu std keeps the price down to a reasonable level as well. I like to try and end up with a mid-grey color

    For the action figure that I've designed I use a 60:40 mix of M58 and TH72 for the body parts and the new K+ for the hinge and ball joints. The M58 and Th72 mix is really strong and it keeps the details sharp but will crumble when exposed to excess heat for too long. The K+ is fantastic for all your joint needs. It's extremely tough and it also holds detail surprisingly well. However it's more on the expensive side of Resione resins so I only use it for small pieces. I can't wait to see what else Resione has instore for us creators!

    • @AzrachToys
      @AzrachToys  6 місяців тому +1

      Oh right I have tried k+ but not for joints only with other parts being other resins. That is a great idea. I will try it out. Thank you.

    You really want to prime your prints the same color before judging their detail. The one you're saying has layer lines and less detail is just more translucent (see-through) than the other. It's allowing you to see into the resin's layers. When you prime it, you'll see they're much closer, if not the same, in terms of detail.
