I really appreciate you featuring my “Mechanical Hearth” in your video 5:09 .Highlighting the work of various creators is fantastic. And I can clearly see you put effort into making these videos. Is there a possibility to include credit for the creators of the models directly in the video?
Your "Mechanical Hearth" is amazing design, keep it up 🙌😀 For now all credits for the creators are in video description but I will think about your suggestion. Also I wish you all the best and many new fantastic designs in 2024 🙂
Well to be fair, most people are watching this video to find items ro print and the creator mentions the description in the video. So by having many people go to the description, it shows that they are crediting@@whackstro5184
Dear Sir, your models are really exceptional! All very perfect! But what is your secret? Maybe the use of several very expensive printers? How do you get such perfect spheres, even on the bottom side? I noticed that you use a lot of silk threads, which would cause a greater printing problem, and instead your pieces come out perfect anyway! I also noticed that all the little connectors you created never break when you fit them together! How is all this possible? Most of mine always break!! What slicer do you use? I use Simplify3D and Cura and I think they are up to the task, but despite several years of use and having also changed the type of threads, even more performing, I can't get this excellent quality that you are proposing! My printer is a simple Anycubic Kobra, the first model with a touch screen. It prints well but I can't make perfect models like yours! Please, tell me your secret!!! 😄 I noticed that your supports come off extremely easily, how do you do it? I understand that sometimes it is not just a question of temperature but also of the quality of the wire. Some come off better than others, etc... But you surely have another method for this! Moreover, how do you get such a smooth and perfect support surface which rests immediately before the piece support? Then, how do you have such a clean print bed, with such perfect pieces on the support base? Why, even though I am struggling with my probe that reveals the magnetic plate, I can't calibrate my plate properly? If I adjust the screw of the probe to the right point and also do the automatic calibration, unfortunately the pieces still come off the plate and therefore I am forced to put a lot of glue on the plate and lower the height level of the probe by a few tenths. Have you ever replaced these magnetic plates? How long do they last over time, after several uses? The PEI patina wears out sooner or later, right? It seems to me that it has almost worn out at the first uses and therefore I am forced to put glue on it anyway. I have changed many plates, in classic glass, tempered glass, PEI plates, etc., but the problem occurs the same. I preheat my plate to 60 degrees maximum, perhaps I should increase it by a few degrees more to obtain stability of the piece? That's all! Thanks in advance! 🙂
Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful comment! 😊 I appreciate your kind words about my prints and designs. Let me try to address your points and share my perspective. Yes, I do use some high-end printers like the BambuLab X1 Carbon, but I also work extensively with more affordable options such as the BambuLab A1 and A1 Mini. These budget-friendly machines deliver impressive results, and I’ve found that quality prints aren’t necessarily about having the most expensive hardware but rather choosing a modern and reliable printer. For example, the BambuLab A1 costs around $400-450 and handles most of the challenges you described with ease. As for slicers, I mainly use BambuStudio because I primarily work on BambuLab printers. I don’t tweak too many advanced settings-I mostly stick to the pre-configured profiles, which are well-optimized and reliable for different materials. The slicer profiles often make a big difference in getting great results without needing to adjust too much manually. About your Anycubic Kobra: I had the Kobra 2 Pro in the past, which is also a budget-friendly printer, and I was able to get good results with it. If you’re looking for smoother workflows and fewer headaches, I’d highly recommend considering a BambuLab A1 as a next step-it’s affordable, fast, and consistently delivers high-quality prints without the struggles you mentioned. Keep experimenting and don’t hesitate to reach out with more questions-happy printing! 😊
@@Marc3DP Dear Sir, thank you for your reply and especially for your advice on purchasing the Bambulalb A1. In fact, I was thinking that my next purchase could be this one or alternatively the Anycubic Kobra 3 combo. The problem is that I am now happy with the following slicers: Cura and Simplify 3D which I paid a few years ago, 140 dollars and then 60 dollars for the update to 5.1. Although I must admit that Cura performs better. Simplify is very well made and full of settings and is also refined in the graphic aspect but it is one point less than Cura, regarding the print quality. I have never tried the other slicers! I have always thought that to obtain a higher quality it is not just one thing to consider, but many, such as the quality of the printing wire. I noticed that since I started using brands like Overture, E-sun, Sunlu, I feel much better than before but unfortunately I still don't get those fantastic results that you and other makers get here in your videos. Which brands of filaments would you recommend me to buy? Going back to the Bambulab A1/Kobra 3 issue, another big problem of mine is that I don't trust extruders with a motor far from the seat. I've always preferred direct extruders because of jamming. Do these two types of printers still risk jamming, having the motors far away? I also ask because they have different outputs for each color... Furthermore, I've never been attracted to devices that have their own closed internal system like Apple, I prefer a more modifiable open source type printer. Proprietary software and settings like in Bambulab don't appeal to me much but I don't question its quality, given what you can get! I also create toys like you and I need to have pieces that don't break, especially in the joints and pins. I was also wondering if you know how to get the "no-planar" effect in the most common slicers. Unfortunately, this fantastic option does not exist yet in the slicers I use. Is there one in yours on Bambullab? Thank you and see you next time! :) bye!
I notice that there is a perimeter line around model on print plate. How do you do that. Is it a setting on slicer, or is it your printer that causes that. I am using Bambu slicer with P1S. If it’s the slicer, which slicer are you using. Thank you. Tony
I'm not exactly sure which print you're referring to, but it sounds like you're talking about the "skirt." It's something that can be set in any slicer. I use Bambu Studio, and you can adjust the skirt settings there as well! Let me know if you need more help with that.
bambu lab x1 is probably the best printer on the market at the moment, crealitys printers are basically just trying to make other printers as cheap as possible. they are good for how cheap they are, but if you have the money...dont even question it dude i would kill for a bambu lab x1 carbon dont even hesitate..
