After about a week of trials and about 50 hours of UA-cam videos - most focusing on self-diagnosis and concentrating on one muscle group or other - yours are the first ones I found that are broadly therapeutic and don't improve one area to the detriment of another area, encourage the most synovial fluid production, increase glute strength, AND provide relief all at the same time. I see elements of other trainers/ PT's exercises, but somehow your exercises are uniquely combined and more effective. I'm a big fan. And so thankful...
Omg the resistance band stretch moves totally fixed the pain in my right hip flexor.. in literally a couple minutes! I’ve been having that pain for weeks!!! Thank you so much!!
I can confirm that this works unbelievably if you have tight aching hip flexors. At 50 years of age, I'm getting to the point where my hip flexors ache, even when just walking in the mornings and throughout the day. After going to the store last night to buy some bands and a knee pad, I have done a 20 minute session this morning. I can't beleive the relaxation I am feeling in that area. I will definitely be continuing this two to three times a week ongoing. Thankyou!
Thank you so much. I broke my hip at 7 years old. I’m 66 now. And I’ve been studying Martial Arts since I was 13. No problem after healing UNTILL I turn 50. Then I injured my right knee sky diving 2007. Thought know big deal. 14 years later I needed a right knee replacement. Got it done in 2020 Nov.Knee is awesome. I actually ran today for a good distance for the first time. Nothing hard a crazy. Just a soft jog. I’ve started doing yoga cause my lower body is super tight. But the hip has very little range of motion. I can’t really do a high front snap kick to the jaw. Was my favorite kick because of my long leg. Other leg great. But the left hip. No way. My Dr says I will need a hip replacement eventually. But not ready for that. Looks like your video can help till I’m ready. Cause it very weak. Thank you. For being here. Merci beaucoup.

Despite cycling 30kms a day year round I still have that straining to lift my leg. Searching for a fix I tried your exercise but needed to use a desk to support myself and get my leg into that reverse position on the chair. It was very tight. After completing the manoeuvre and then the stretches. (The twist with arms across chest hit the sweet spot) I was able to raise my leg (as if marching) with little resistance. It was an immediate fix. Thank you. Will spread your channel and this video to the many elderly I know who suffer from this. Thank you!
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I started having this pain about a month ago. It was so bad that I couldn't walk cause the spasms would flare up, and laying in bed was excruciating. I just did the leg with the band one this morning for the first time, and there are no spasms. I'm actually sitting down, and there is no pain. Thank you, thank you.
I started because of lower back pain. I found that the stretch with the chairs worked very well for a stretch and the band exercise found my weak spot so I will keep working on the band stretch for strength. Great video and very informative. Thank you.

I have a Microdescectomy and Hemilamicectomy on jun19th ! They told me i should be able to return to work in 4-6 weeks ! First 12 days was ok i was feeling good even driving my car ! After that i started developing a sharp pain in my left hip more like by my butt bone when i was trying to straighten up bad pain couldn't hardly standing on my left leg and have pain in the same area when i was trying to take a deep breath ! Same thing when getting out of my car . or getting out of my bed after a quick nap ! And in the morning No discomfort getting out of the bed . I can walk hours without problems ! I was trying a couple of techniques from your video which was helping me before surgery ! Putting left leg over my knee and pulling against the other shoulder. Or. Physical therapist said don't pull it but pushing it down ! That hurts! Family doctor or Surgeon don't give a shit they Don't help me finding out what's the problem ! It's driving me crazy ! Can't understand what it is and The Spine surgeon is saying need more Physical therapy ! Had posterior total hip replacement August of 2022 and have had hip flexor pain that comes and goes since. Lately it's really bad and when walking, I have a lot of pain with a significant limp. The first exercise is no doubt a great hip flexor stretch; however, it's too hard on my knees. Is there a modification for this first exercise that doesn't require that much knee pressure? I have a doubled up mat and pillow on knee and it's still alot of pressure.

@@DrRowe I'm guessing it helps to do these stretches right before exercising, because I felt really tight during my run and I did other stretches after these stretches right before my run
I’ve been doing these exercises for 3 years already and the pain is almost gone! Thank you!!
Glad the exercises are helping you!
Why’d it take 3 years???
Just started doing this and already feel great release when I'm already in pain. (L3 disc compression from old injury plus tightness all around from doing lots of garden digging and squatting PLUS sitting at a sewing machine for hours every day :) I'll check back in after a few weeks in hopes this will strengthen and PREVENT pain in future - thanks so much. I love your videos because you get straight to the point and your instructions are clear.
Just performed these stretches for my hip flexor pain. Awesome stretches. It feels great!
Glad to hear that, and thanks for watching!
I’ll say this is probably the most professional/best video I’ve seen thankyou!
Well thank you, and thanks for watching!
I've had chronic sciatic nerve pain for seven or eight years and was having a really painful day so resorted to searching for videos on hip flexor relief. I've never had such immediate relief from acute sciatica pain as I got from he first series of stretches with the office chair. Amazing! Thank you!
Great to hear you got immediate relief, and thanks for watching!
I’m so glad I found your channel! That completely targets exactly where I’ve been hurting for the past week. Thank you so much.
Glad to hear you're getting relief, and thanks for watching!
Did it work
This was really intense at first for me but the relief was immediate afterwards! Thankyou so much! I go from siting to standing all day long and later on play drums. My hip flexors have been screaming the last few days and this really helped! I’ll be coming back here for sure.
One of the active stretching I have not seen before here in this video as well as the exercises really helped me. Thank you so much. Could you also introduce to us some pelvic floor muscle stretches?
Glad it helped, and that's a great suggestion!
@@DrRowe
Yes I really would like that too. I feel like I need it but have no idea where to start...thanks
I would like that' exercise also
Thank you good sir, may God bless you. First time with hip flexor pain, and I am so grateful I found this video before the end of the night
Hope the exercises help for a long time to come!
I have had hip popping for at least 6 years and this helped a bit! left hip feels good and right keeps popping
Glad to hear the exercises are helping, and thanks so much for watching!
Thank you been having pain for months, just did this and feel relief already. I will keep it up😊
You just saved me from so much pain thank you so much, I’m a freshman football player and I thought this would hurt to the point of not being able to play Thank you 🙏❤️
Hope the exercises help for a long time to come, and thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for being so clear on how to do these stretches.
Happy to help, and thanks so much for watching!
The part at 2.16 is a great stretching technique for hip flexors and has helped me no end, thank you, great video well done!!

I'm kickboxing for about 6 months where I need to use hips more and started to feel pain before about 5 days and this helped me a little bit so I can go to training today. Thanks for this : D
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching too.
Going into it I didn't think it would help but I have a race and I have to try to get over this hip flexor pain. My hip flexors are thankful to you for sharing these tips. 🙏🏻Saving it for future reference in case I forget any of these.
I’ve started doing these and finally I’m getting relief.
Glad you found the video and they’re helping!
I felt the stretch of the first technique using the chair the most. Thanks.
I was working my abs the other day and while they held up fine, my hip flexors didn't and I could feel the tightness all day. By midnight I couldn't even sleep because stretching my legs was too painful but this video really helped, thank you!
Glad to hear the exercises are helping, and thanks for watching!
What is your status man did the exercises help?how long does it takes to recover?
@@nathan7579 I had to do this every day for about 4 days before it was pretty much gone. In hindsight I should've probably done it multiple times a day but yeah. At this point I can work my abs much harder without my hip flexors getting so tight, although I do stretch them afterwards just in case. :P
@@crqzed thank you very much i overwork my core in the last few days... i will try to do this exercise to ease the pain...
THANK YOU! I’m sure these will help. I’m in so much pain I don’t want to move, but I will give them a try asap.
Hope the exercises help, and please give us an update soon.

But after a couple of minutes walking or stretching my body and head backwards with my hands on my butt it goes away ! I can sleep like a log ! But HOW the HELL i can do that when i hardly able to straighten out when i come out of the car and All the exercises are hurting! I can't do my physical therapy without painkillers and muscle relaxers ! You help me recovering from my pinched nerve 3 months ago so just wondering if you could help me
I’m a super active 13 year old skater and cross country runner and I got this problem after coming home from the skatepark 3 days ago and these exercises gave me instant relief. Thank you so much

Thank you so much and God bless you for this knowledge. I just got done a football training session and my right hip flexor was giving me a hard time walking. I searched for stretches and came across this and instantly got better. I was able to walk and even a slight jog after following the first stretch with the chair . Definitely will continue these stretches to strengthen my hips from here on out!
Hope the exercises help you for a long time to come!
@@DrRowe hey I have a question, if you can answer asap that will he amazing. So while I was doing track and was running then I felt a pop in my hip flexor area and now it's quite stiff and it hurts, can I still do these exercises?

I’ve been a runner for 30 years plus. I did these stretches for hip flexor i did get some relief for the pain. Wonder if it’s my lower back causing the hip pain. Thanks DR ROWE
My hips only hurt at night and this helped tremendously!!
That's great to hear!
Put the pillow in the Middle of knees
Thank you so much for these videos. In thirty seconds I took away thirty years of stress and discomfort. If you could have seen my face--
I am grateful.
So glad you found the video and it's helping. Thanks for watching too!
@@DrRowe Respectfully, I get distracted by another muscle that seems to open up in my body and my attention wavers. I wonder if you would recommend fighting the urge to follow that stretch and simply follow along the video. Not sure if some stretch I may be doing uninstructed could be harming me.
Doc knows his stuff and practices it as well - even holding the neutral position(in 1st stretch) takes very solid flexibility and strength. Hard for me to trust docs that look like they chain themselves to buffet lines when not working :)
Thanks!
I have been suffering with horrible hip flexor pain for a couple of years now. I'm going to try these. If they help it will be a miracle!
Hope they help, let us know!
I feel an amazing stretch on just my left side of tbe hip. Lets hope for a fast heal
3:40 amazing but i cant do it more than 5 seconds
Keep at it, and please give us an update soon.
How you
Had posterior total hip replacement August of 2022 and have had hip flexor pain that comes and goes since. Lately it's really bad and when walking, I have a lot of pain with a significant limp. Then 2 days later it's fine, or not bad at all with minimal pain and no limp.
I've tested it for being tight and for strength and I'm good with both. So, I'm not sure what to do. Haven't seen these before and going to give them a try & thank you!! 🙏
The first exercise is no doubt a great hip flexor stretch; however, it's too hard on my knees. Is there a modification for this first exercise that doesn't require that much knee pressure? I have a doubled up mat and pillow on knee and it's still alot of pressure.
I can’t even figure out how to balance myself to get into position!!
Pain started after playing singles badminton 4 games. And then 2hrs leg workout immediately after that.
Wow 45 days pain relief in just 30 seconds I felt , thank you so much.
Love this . I'll continue to support this channel.thx
We appreciate it! Thanks for watching.
Thanks This is what I've been looking for for a long time in my life.
Glad you found the video, and thanks for watching!
Dr. Rowe thank you for providing me with some relief from this awful pain. That first stretch really helped me out and I thank you from my heart to yours! 😁👍
Really happy to hear you're getting relief!
@@DrRowe You are so appreciated!!!!!! I can't imagine how you find the time to respond to our comments as well! May you be blessed with abundance in many ways. 🌱😁🌠
I never had this pain before in my life until I had to cut tree limbs out of a hundred pine trees with a heavy electric pole chain saw extended to 8-10 feet. I cut limbs for six hours straight. Electric pole saws are stupid. All the weight is at the end extended way out in front of you. That was two months ago and it hasn't stopped hurting yet. Your exercises always help me. Thanks.
Glad the exercises are helping you, and thanks for watching!
