With Sympathy and Twitch...the albums that grew my love for Ministry. Glad Al has reconciled with this music since so many Ministry fans have been waiting SO long for him to play these songs again!
I'm guessing his being clean for years now has cause him to reflect on ALL his accomplishments. There were some bizarre years for awhile. Have you seen the Ministry Documentary "Fix"? search for it, it was Al's scariest period when he was a heroin addict and Ministry was on tour. I think I watched it on Dailymotion.
A show people have wanted for 40 years. I hope he decides to take this on the road and come show it to the rest of us, this is wonderful, I got tears, man! Thanks for sharing this!
Uncle Al said in an interview recently he probably will not be touring anymore. He plans on going into the studio and rerecording With Sympathy and maybe make one more Ministry album. Then he's "putting it to bed", according to him.
@@metaphoria3 they're either still working on the album or they are ready to put it out. I'm not sure but there's talk about this album called HOPEiate for the masses
@@metaphoria3yes! And to add to that list check out Lusk. I’d say that’s my favorite of his other stuff besides The Replicants with the fellas from Failure.
My favourite period for Ministry. I started listening the band in 1986 and appreciated this and the next 2 albums in particular. Amazing to experience even via recorded concert. Thank you for uploading this for us poor folk that can't afford concerts anymore.
😂 We certainly worked (in the sun) for it! I have the second degree burns on my nose to prove it. Should have put on vampire sunscreen! We don't usually do our dark disco-ing don't in the daytime!
I kept wondering all year if Al was really gonna do it. Wow. He really did. I lived long enough to actually witness it in person. Thank you cruel world
I'm a long time Ministry fan. Seen them a bunch in the 80s/90s. I'm glad Uncle Al has embraced W/Sympathy. It still gets airplay on sirius/Xm First wave channel. That harder version of Effigy is awesome. Revenge is great. The entire show is great. Makes me want to go see them again...and again and again...Oh no... Thanks for posting this video.
as a young kid in Chicago and die hard Ministry / RevCo / WaxTrax fan, Al recognized me being in the mosh pits at his shows and always was cool to every time we crossed paths around the city. I was thrilled to hear this set.
I'm just so relieved to know that all of this wasn't just a weird, personal fever dream I was living in and that lots of other people were fully committed to this stuff at the exact same time
You are right my friend. I guess once you get older people change and just tend to realize the good times in life before it all ends. This is my favorite set next to "In case you didn't feel like showing up." This set actually made me smile and put me in a good mood. I felt his happy vibe too. A+++
And this children is the foundation on which you shall live. Remember this moment, fore it will forever be a moment during which HELL hast thou frozen over... and the crowd rejoiced.

OMG! Thanks so much for sharing this. I saw Ministry in Vancouver, BC in 2016-2017, Al brought Burton from Fear Factory out with him and I couldn’t believe it. I had seen Fear Factory years ago, twice. Two iconic metal warriors on stage together made for a hell of a show 🤘 🌶️ 🔥 Hey @aljourgensen please come back to Vancouver. The moment I think I figured out Al jourgensen he does something out of nowhere and I'm completely stumped. He did a 180 on me. I ain't complaining though.
Twitch is such an amazing album. My buddy who does goth dj night here in Oklahoma City at the local clubs played Over the Shoulder for me and it was so awesome. Everyone in the club were dancing and vibing
I was surprised to see them perform Work for Love after having watched the Boston performance of it at The Channel back in 1984 dozens of times on youtube. That video captures the 1980's synth rock energy not to mention Al's command of the stage,,, not that I keep track of Ministry but it was nice to see the then and now of this song. Nice job!
Wow...watching this brought back long forgotten memories of back in the day. Saw Ministry once in 1983 or 84 at Chicago's 'Exit' and still have the promo poster taken from the hallway wall leading to the stage. The 80's were the best!!!
purely amazing! i'm so bummed i was stuck at work this weekend! additionally, I'm glad to see General Greivous was able to be recycled and turned into an electric cello!
Dj thank you so much for sharing this amazing even t with us! I never thought I would ever see the day they would play any of there old tracks live ever. With as many times as the band would walk out of interviews when they would ask about any of there days with the synth pop area I would never have expected it. Beautiful!
I’m so happy to see and hear this set live (via UA-cam)! I wish i could have been there in person to see and hear this. Happy to see that Mr Alain has apparently come to peace with Ministry’s first studio album and is comfortable playing some of the best With Sympathy songs live now after all there years. I hope Uncle Al sees how much many of Ministry’s fans still love hearing Ministry’s early songs. I’m especially happy to see/hear some of the best tracks from Ministry’s Twitch album performed live here for the first time in many years, which is my favorite Ministry album and one of my favorite Industrial music albums overall. Thank You Ministry! 🖤🌹⚙️🔥
I love Ministry ! All the albums from The land of rape and honey to From Beer to Eternity. I haven't listened to their last three records yet, and I never liked with sympathy or twitch, however being so used to hearing all their records from the mind is a terrible thing to taste to the last sucker... Hearing this song live work for love off of with sympathy is so refreshing... They actually made this sound so uplifting ! It's really actualy awesome to hear and see this side of ministry !
Never in my life did I imagine I'd hear Ministry playing stuff from With Sympathy live!
Totally
I'm actually really excited that they are re-recording songs from With Sympathy and Twitch to release soonish. But this was bad ass
