Back in 2005 NYC, I was a backup dancer for the legendary Ms Guy of the toilet boys. I was backstage having my makeup done, eyes closed , when Guy walked in introducing me to his best friend /neighbor D. Harry, She said hi , my mouth dropped open and the only thing that kept circling inside my head was Don't say anything stupid! Don't say anything stupid! Whenever a stage hand entered the room, they were like lost in translation as well, we chatted a little and after the show, she told me she loved the way I danced. I felt like I just been knighted by the queen ,and I was, by The Queen of NEw York Fucking City!-)

The entire band was fantastic that night, but I have to say that Debbie's vocals were really off. She's 78 now, which is amazing, but she seemed to be struggling vocally and looked exhausted by the end of the performance.

I would have loved to hear AMERICAN SCIENCE ! I discovered this song thanks to a cover by the Canadian artist AUSTRA on a tribute album for Duran Duran. Excellent !

First listen and bought his album in the the early 1980s .... as a teenager in suburban new zealand he was such a cool inspiration!!! Thankyou Gary Newman ...I still have that record.!!
