as far as some repeated riffs... i mean i challenge anyone to write 130 songs and not repeat at all. I love how he changed the last chorus from a question to a statement "I'm never too far gone to save i can make through the day" Fuck yeah james.
I actually digged Kirk's solos in this song 😂 compared to the overly long ones he keeps playing. All the solo's need to be reduced by like 30 to 50% in length imo. They're just too long to have anything meaningful to say.
haha well when you're a good guitar player in your own right and you're listening to bands like Trivium who are solo playing savants ... kirk's solos post-black album are probably going to drive you nuts
@@penoyer79 to be fair to Kirk, if you listen to his solo album stuff, he can still write. For these albums they just kinda bring him in randomly and they kinda tell Kirk what they want.
@@riffhousestudios96 and if you watch the making-of videos of HW and DM you can see where the problem is. It's Lars. He likes a very specific type of solo and that's pretty much all he'll let kirk play. ever since St Anger Lars has put Kirk in Guitar Solo Jail and hasn't let him out.
I can kinda hear it too. It's a weird chicken-egg effect, as Metallica's easily the biggest influence on Volbeat, and their riffage has a lot of similarities to modern Metallica. And then this in turn has a lot of similarity to songs like Who They Are.
Man, I'm a massive Metallica Fan, but I have to say, I don't feel any connection to any song on this album or a lot of their previous ones. I see the comments, saying James' riffs and singing are top.. Man, I find his singing so monotone, its as if he is singing the same song for the past 20 years. Also, the riffs.. Apart rom All nightmare long, I don't find anything interesting it's all the same, mediocre riffs, and Kirk playing the octave over it. Song titles are very cringe on top. Am I the only one who thinks this... possible i'm just outgrowing Metallica.. but.. I can listen to their first 5 albums over and over again and feel that shit hard! So.. what is the deal? have they fallen to mediocre... or... am I just a dick?
@@puppetzinc1 Definitely not anymore. Still love their first 5 and enjoy load/reload and garage though, and will always have that. I'll just try ignore everything that came after.

I jus caught that I see what u mean, very talented love the lyrics
Kirks solo is fine here. Great song.
The initial riff is 100% No Remorse and I'm 100% fine with that.
It's actually a mix between SUcking My Love and No Remorse, and I like it
Deconstructed no remorse 😁
Album is a banger.
This is one of the better tracks of the album. So catchy!

El riff con harmonías es lo mejor de la canción y probablemente de lo mejor del álbum también
I find it funny when Kirk's solos bother you

AMAZING SONG!!! LOVE NEW STUFF AND GETTING TIRED OF OLDER STUFF!!! GLAD METALLICA IS MAKING NEW MUSIC AND BRINGING THE GOODS!!!?🎼🥁🤘🤘😎👊❤️🤜🤛🙏💯🔥🎸👍
Lol @ the almost learned reaction of disgust at kirk's solos. I actually love that little KEA solo. Nice reaction regardless!
The start of the solo is the same from Jump In The Fire, and I love it
I don't know why, but the song reminds me a bit of Volbeat. Solid!

@@Neo-Midgar Yeah, i know. I think it's mainly the vocal part "am i tooo faaar gooone" that reminds me of Volbeat.
Fuck yeah bro harmony is legendary
this album is a masterpiece im going to buy it sounds soo good folks metal up your ass ya know
Always makes me chuckle seeing people shitting on Hammet
I love this song. Kirks dedeleys x2 1/3 of the way through the song sucks tho
Hammett solos are like solos of a kid who have played like 2 years 😂😂😂
Elitism detected..
When is your multi platinum album coming out?

The harmonies are so Iron Maiden, I agree with him. This is overall the best song on a very weak and honestly forgettable album
Iron Maiden? More like Thin Lizzy!
@@nikolagligorovski2234agreed total thin lizzy vibe
Will see about that😎👍
@@adamurbanik7545 james even said on the cinema showing the middle section was influenced by thin lizzy ? Go figure
