Appreciate the reaction to the new album! We don’t really know how many more they have left so we gotta embrace the high of this release
This is lyrically the most uplifting song that James has done. It speaks volumes
Also, this is the best work Metallica has produced. The mixture of their styles in all the songs shows the musicianship they all have together
That song really brings the band genuine song writing amazing ability.
I was born in 71 and have been a Metallica fan since 83.this album is giving me the same sort of feelings that the 80s albums did, I think this will be regarded as a classic in years to come,you can quote me on that!

I love your comment that ended at around the 6:22 min mark. There are always people that will hate/dislike the "new" music because it doesn't sound like Master of Puppets or any of the past albums. My Metallica journey started in winter of 1988 at an 8th grade party when, now a great friend of mine, put the Justice tape in the stereo and cranked/sang Blackened so loudly that the mom of the girl hosting came down and took the tape out. I knew from that day forth this was my Band and they are still to this day. :)
I agree. There’s thousands of bands out there. But none of them do it like Metallica for me. From 1983-20023 their music is still amazing. I’m only 21 I’ve been listening to them for about 3-4 years now and I’m glad I came across them because they ARE real music.
I had a similar thought of how lucky it is to get this amazing new music from Metallica, I was born in 1993 been a fan since I was about 15, they've been one of my favourite bands ever since, the new music just pleases me so much 😂
Completely agree with you when it comes to "new MetallicA"...
To tell ya the truth, MetallicA is MetallicA... period... and they've proven to be one of, if not THE MOST versatile and flexible (musically speaking) band(s) of all time... I believe that they themselves made it a point to branch out, try new things, new sounds, etc. to say, "we're not JUST a thrash band, we're not JUST a metal band..."
And that's why they're still here 40+ years later... and I'm honored to have lived through and experienced TWO of their new albums at the time that they were released...
And when it comes to the hate, specifically this album, I'll say this:
"The fastet way to Kill something Special is to Compare it to something else..."

I really enjoy your Metallica reactions! I agree that people should just appreciate this band and enjoy the gift of their music. I bought my first guitar when I was 16, and I am currently 55. We’ll never see another band like this again. To rip on their music is just plain anti metal. Some songs are better than others, just like any band. But to be able to put out amazing music for soooooo long is just unheard of. It means they love doing it

Honestly dude there really are a lot of bands from that era still going and still slinging out some good metal. Not to knock this I think Metallica did their thing and made a solid album but dude I’m going to see Testament, Overkill, Exodus, the Pantera tribute, and Megadeth all in one festival and I literally cannot wait. Going to one of the Metallica stops literally a month before. So much good metal happening right now from the oldies!
There may be 1 or 2 songs on 72 Seasons that are just ALRIGHT but the album is so fuckin good

Only thing I would say is that I hoped Kirk would keep that solo going, he came in SOOO HARD with that climb up, but it fell flat. other than that great song, and banging album!

With how the animation team has handled the other videos. I’d say that they are more than capable of making high quality videos. If this looks bad, then I’m to assume it’s intentional. Then that begs the question, why? Fun stuff to dig into.

It's very popular, and although a bit long, i think it'd be great.
James really went hard on this album. Clearly Rob and James were the two who really wanted to make more music. All the harmonies were James, the riffs and the lyrics and singing. Wish Kirk cared more about song writing. He said that he wants his solos to be random so he doesn’t get bored while James wants his lead stuff to be melodic and fit. Kirk has been getting lazy and it’s sad because he can play a great solo
