Truth is, AJFA in the grand scheme of things, is a horribly produced album and the new album with that sound would be ridiculous in 2023 with no bass.. . Re edit: As I was was typing this I was thinking this sounds a lot like Kill Em All not AJFA.. as is .. same point though production wise

Keep these 80s Hetfield mixes coming man, these are superb. Seriously, I can't stress how magical it is to hear those legendary vocals we lost due to him straining his voice in any capacity, let alone as good as these end up sounding. Maybe you could try some Megadeth down the road too at some point, would be interesting to hear 90s Dave doing a cover of Dystopia.

In fact, I think it sounds awesome in its' own way, but even I can't deny just how fantastic the old school tone, vocals, and references sound fused with this newer Metallica track. What I think is beautiful about your mixes is that while yes, it does sound like the album you're trying to mimic, it also feels like it's own sound. Like some sort of lost 80's Metallica that somehow feels like all of them from that era combined and it's glorious. Please continue with these, and take as long as you need to with them. These are quality uploads, very good, only thing I would do is raise the pitch of the songs mixed for kill and ride up to 445hz to get that nostalgic sound of the original albums

But...I think it also exposes some sections where the melody is a little formula and baggy (really common in bands writing material later in their career, I find.) For me - a lot of tracks on this album could be 1-2mins shorter.
