The final song tonight! Last 2 tomorrow! Super Thanks are appreciated! Check out my reaction playlist for this album! ua-cam.com/play/PLhKj_eSYs0ttEAQdumg3cYYxboSEbQZB7.html
noo! haha i cant wait for you to hear Inamorata that song is just...WOW
@@blackdragons95 Room of mirrors too! I think he will love that one too, rivals Spit out the bone imo
@@yoiamhere4737 yeah for sure room of mirrors is my favorite song from the new album and that harmony at the end is awesome!
@@blackdragons95 this, room of mirrors and Inamorata are amazing. Inamorata is a pretty special song
This starts one hell of a three song run to close out the album. Love it.
100% fact. I actually think from Lux to Inamorata is perfect (except for Barbed which is good but not like AMAZING).
Wish they left Room of Mirrors off the album. By far the worst song on the album
@@richtigeralman9474 sorry but I’m not lol the only song on the album I’m like eh on
@@SouthernAssault are you serious? That's one of the best. The solos, the verses, the harmonies, it's the 2nd best after Inamerata
@@jesussaves9855 sorry, it’s the very bottom for me. Just don’t care for it
That main riff is SOOOO No Remorse. Love this song.
I love Robert, I honestly credit him for helping save Metallica after their lowest point in their career during the St. Anger era (I loved St. Anger btw). I think Rob helping encourage them to return to their roots from Death Magnetic forward, I remember hearing that he's responsible for Metallica playing songs live that they haven't played in years like "Call Of Cthulu". Rob is just a down to earth dude, such a loveable personality and he's a freaking beast on the bass! My love for Metallica will never die!
Hard to keep speed limit with that song. Epic 3 song end to the album. The riffs on 72 seasons are insane! James is a machine.
72 Riffs
Agreed man they killed this ablum 🤘🤘🤘
Great song, riff reminds me on NO REMORSE 😃
Yes and its a little bit Blitzkrieg
SAME
The riff you think is reminding you of Atlas Rise is more like the verse riff in No Remorse
To me, is very similar to the end of the line one
The lyrics and vocals are what really captured my attention i just love those "Ah! Ah! Am!" And that "NOO!" are really awesome 😎
True but he is saying " I, I am"
This has got to be my favorite song on the album! Short but groovy and catchy!!
Agreed. This one has so much great stuff happening beyond that fantastic chorus.
Best song of the album, kill 'em all vibes
Every song is good asl
Yes no remorse vibes 🤘🏻
Can't wait for you to hear Room of Mirrors, you're gonna love that ending!
To far gone and chasing light are the two strongest songs to me.
Yes got to like these 2songs more thenever now
This blew me away, at the cinema. No Remorse riffage, great harmonies and cool vocals and something different on it's structure, awesome chorus, solo suits the song great. My favorite alongside Inamorata. I think it gets overlooked, boggles me why lol. Great reaction/review/thoughts, as always! :)
Straight bangers. Lars folks were actually freaking amazing. Their music is so expressive. This song is insane
My favorite song! That little triplet riff is my favorite.
Opening of this song has a No Remorse feel to it.
The main riff to me is very No Remorse. Great song! Very Kill ‘em All! 🤘🤘🤘
This one's absolutely my favourite! Powerfully composed, not a second wasted!
This is one of my favorites as well as room of mirrors, 72 seasons, Lux and inamorata. I really feel this album is more appreciated upon multiple listens
I agree, songs are growing over time.
@@ChainsawReacts 100%. After multiple listens I’m going to say overall this is a more consistent album than hardwired
Hardwired is great, I think it’s just we waited forever for something new. I wish Metallica was faster on their new releases.
@@ChainsawReacts don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy hardwired. I just feel overall 72 seasons is a stronger album. Hetfield really excels on this one
@@andyk2607 I agree. I feel like this album just flows better than Hardwired. It gripped me quicker than Hardwired did.
Same! I wanted more of the riff towards the end 😢
I've this song stuck in my head since listening to the album for the first time! So good!
2nd fav on this album aside from Inamorata. I love how they blend the No Remorse type riff with the course that reminds me of Misfits Garage days type style with the harmonized vocals.
Regarding Kirk's playing: Did you guys like his solo EP last year? I loved it, I thought his playing, compositions and structures were really cool. Interesting, unique, and a heavy cinematic influence nicely flowing into his rock out moments. But I was very impressed with his other styles and musical voices outta Metallica shining through. I was really excited about the idea of hearing that side of him on the album, and I feel bad that its not. If you hear "The Incontation" from his Portals EP, theres some brilliant things, exotic ideas telling a story. Id have LOVED that on the new album!
@@ianwakers I knew that Edwin Outwater helped add some writing ideas and touches to some of Portals, and I think that was a good thing. I loved hearing Kirk play styles and music outside his Metallica Blues Box. It was exciting. "The Gin" had some cool, off kilter stuff that youd again hear in a movie, mixxxed with homages to guitarists he loves like Uli Jon Roth. Big taste of Scrpions classic "Sails of Charo'n" on "The Gin" in places. On Portals, he isnt on the wah wah as much, and theres tasty, melodic, singable solos and riffs. I was really eager to hear if that "Portal" style was gonna be on 72 Seasons. Its a pity that its not, I really think his other styles of playing really would have elevated and charachterized the songs with cooler, exotic ideas and identities. The album is really growing on me, but again, Id love Kirks other styles to shine here.👍
not easy to play pentatonic in metal..
the solo stuff was really good but nothing that would really fit into Metallica style wise. That's why its a solo record.
@@metalpuppet5798 It does make me interested though, in how the certain styles of lead playing we hear on Portals mite have worked into Metallicas songs.
Rather than yet another wah wah Em pentatonic lick smashed into a song, how about hearing some of the more successful risk takings he happily lashed out on Portals.
His soloing is really interesting on Portals, the notes, ideas are different , hes using cool patterns, scales and motifs that, I personally would gave spiced and diced up some of 72 Seasons' music. It certinaly would have added a new life, character into the tracks. "The Maiden and the Monster" has a Brilliant solo, full of melody , drama and imagery. Its great, and Id have loved more of that approach.
I love love Kirk. But I think his all too samey scale descends and wah wah E licks in all the songs add too much familiarity and "heard this before" factor to the songs.
This song is amazing.
Can’t wait the other two songs
My favourite part of the reactions is him still caught on the wiiiire 😂
3:06 the way he ended that line reminds me so much of the black album
Yes, that opening riff reminds "Atlas rise" to me as well. 😉🤘
This is basically No Remorse 2.0 hahahaha
Blitzkrieg and No remorse with kinda MIsfits in the chorus, 80s vibe
THIS IS SO THRASH!!
I love the pace and I love the solo
It’s just madness in EPICNESS
My 2nd favorite track after Inamorata. Perhaps 2 best solos from Kirk on the whole record ! No wah pedal, not drawn out too long either. They remind me of Kirk's work from KEA or Master of Puppets.
The riff you mentioned reminds me of "No Remorse".
The harmony section is so master of puppets it made me cry.
the riff is no remorse !!! ....too far gone is one of the best !.. love it !
This album has many good songs! I like it.
Def one of my fav from 72 but the are ALL close, really amazing album ! \m/
the riff is Blitzkrieg inverted and also that lead part
the riff to me sounds like the first riff from Megadeth Holy Wars...The Punishment Due but slow
Facts
gives you some boost with that song..
Best song on the album imo. Was really laughing at you predicting Lars' fills 😂
ABSOLUTELY A BANGER!!! JAMES IS RIFF MACHINE AND IS THE KING OF RIFFS!!! LOVE THIS ALBUM!!! 🎼🎸🥁💯🤘🍻👍🔥🙏🎶😎
A little NO REMORSE in the riffing. Love that.
Dude im fucking stuck with this song, the middle part is so epic, nostalgic and powerfull.
5:20 harmony reminds me of Thin Lizzy era. Something off Thunder and Lightning. After all they are fans!
I get the resemblance to No remorse
Like variation about the riff
Especially the first part of the riff
Hopefully you know what I mean
But common this is still a new song and it is a banger
Album is growing on me AF.
Love it
I think that riff you mentioned is more like "No remorse" riff, but it's only my opinion ;)
The first four songs range from good to great.
The middle portion is pretty mixed for me, but Crown of Barbed Wire is a solid start to the back half of the album.
The last three songs on the album are the three that speak to me though.
The riff at 1:28 sounds like No remorse 😎
It’s like “No Remorse “ part 2 at the beginning.
Main riff is heavily inspired in Sucking My Love.
The chorus riff is the same/similar to lepper messiah pre-solo riff, it hits hard A/F!
The thing I love about this album is coming in with certain expectations compared to what Metallica is instead trying to get us to hear and the message they want to send.
Can't wait to see how you react to Inamorata!
Tomorrow!
Same. Special song
My favorite song on the album 🤘🔥👍🪙
My favorite ! Punk James vibes
This song have Kill em all, Master, Justice, Death Magnetic and Hardwired Vibes.
This song is what Metallica are.
Harmony as a lead my heart melts 😂❤
Do "Room of mirrors" 🤘
still waiting for inamorata 🔥 im sure you gonna like that one
Tomorrow!
No Remorse 2023
This song slaps! 🖖
I think this one sounds like it is from both Kill em All and ...And Justice For All.
Can we all agree that these 12 songs are showing the melodic side of Metallica in the best way?
In my opinion the beginning reminds of a mixture of seek n destroy and no remorse
It’s the No Remorse riff .. OGs man
I’m gonna have a hard time NOT singing “smellin like a rose that somebody gave me on my birthday deathbed” after that opening line lol
This songs riff reminds me on no remorse
This and sleepwalk my life away are the best off this album imo
Suuuuuper black album sounding like through the never vibes
The last 3 songs on this record shine.
I’m listening to this song rn lol
That Chorus reminds me of Ramones.
Insta Classic Song.
You make the Best reaction Videos!!
- All other speak too mutch
I hope Metallica keeps sanctifying albums so there are still reactions ;)
2nd half of this song is a fucking right banger bro
Shoulda been the 2nd single behind Lux
An unreleased track from Kill 'Em All
1. Inamorata
2. Too Far Gone
3. Shadows Fallow
4. Screaming Suicide
5. 72 Seasons
6. Room of Mirrors
7. Chasing Light
8. You Must Burn
9. Sleepwalk My Life Away
10. Lux Aeterna
11. If Darkness Had a Son
12. Crown of The Barbed Wire
Inamorata so overrated
naa inamorata is hot as fuck
for me is up there with outlaw torn, bleeding me, fixxxer and halo on fire as one of the best songs ever in the entire catalog
@@MirkoS1995 yes you may say not that good or slow or something but not overrated. even middle section is and harmony is good enough for being top of the album.
@@CarimboHanky That’s your take, of course I respect that. For me there isn’t enough stuff to justify the length of the song, and overall for me the riffs and melodies are mediocre, as well as the lyrics.
@@myturbulance the middle section is probably the best part of the song, but still it’s not something special for me. If I think of songs like My friend of misery or Outlaw torn that have these great inspired middle sections, this new song feels not really inspired at all, at least this is my taste
nice
No Remorse
The last song is the highlight chainsaw. Get ready
I got a No Remorse vibe. You?
Best song on the album
Yea I thought this one was no remorse twisted a little
Am I the only one who hears Breadfan
The first riff litle same No Remorse
Wait til you hear Room of Mirrors
Already did lol
Kirk absolutely slays on this track.
Those harmonies are very Maiden.
Yea they are.
Really GD Song
This is so kill'em all
I think this one might be my favorite. I dont know. I like a lot of them. I seriously think this is one of thier best albums ever.
For real - try to look at it objectively, remove the nostalgia from a lot of their other stuff..... I really think this album holds up very well against most of their work.
Really, really good 👍
The album is SO TASTY nothing is forced. It’s amazing.
Sounds like seek & destroy.
You will lose it when you listen to Inamorata.
I definitely got into it
You are one of the few fans who actually love the band. I've even heard some "fans" say that they prefer St. Anger to this album. Utter nonsense.
What the hell…
Wtf lol, I really enjoyed St. Anger but this album blows St. Anger out of the water! I honestly feel this album is better than Hardwired and Death Magnetic, and that's saying a lot because I freaking love those albums!!!
@@bighomiestevethemetalhead8131 I'm not sure I feel the same way only because some similar versions of songs on Hardwired are slightly better. Dream No More>You Must Burn, Spit Out The Bone>Room Of Mirros etc.
However, I think Inamorata is one of their best songs ever. Its beauty lies in its simplicity. It's the least impressive song on the record riffwise, and yet it's the only one that truly strikea a chord with me.
@@georgiostemirsidis1966 I respect your opinion, we all have our own tastes. It would be incredible if they remastered Death Magnetic with their current production/mixing, Death Magnetic is in my Top 3 Metallica albums but the extremely loud/harsh mixing really stands out when you're listening to their discography in order and it makes it less enjoyable.
If you combine certain songs from Death Magnetic/Beyond Magnetic, Hardwired, and 72 seasons all into one album, it would probably be the best Metallica album ever written!!!
@@bighomiestevethemetalhead8131 The thing is, people don't get that it's idiotic to compare what they do now to a bunch of 20 year olds full of drive and verve expressing their creativity. They aren't even dads anymore. They're a couple of years away from becoming grandafathers, and they drink tea when they need to wind down. It's bizarre to compare this version of them to 80s' Metallica. I enjoy this era of their sound, and I honestly don't want another MOP or AJFA. They could easily use the same tone they had on those albums, and write similar songs. James definitely has the talent to do so. They are just not interested in that.
It was quite a disappointing album but this was the best song
Lux Aeterna, 72 Seasons, Screaming Suicide, If darkness had a son and Too Far Gone are the only songs on the album I enjoyed.
Love ya but does everything twink say lets go
