  • This is not a UA-cam video, at least not what we're used to anymore. We live in a world that's constantly bombarding us with information. We're always connected, always stimulated, always on the go. But sometimes it's important to take a step back. Can just be to let our minds wander, to embrace the stillness. So that's what we're doing here today. Nothing.
There is this growing movement of creators making more chill videos, just sharing moments of their lives, which is a counter movement against those, you know, over-the-top, spectacular types of content. And I got to say, I'm all for it. So for the next few minutes, I'd like to invite you to join me. Put down your phone, close your otter taps, and just be here with me. Maybe you'll think about your day or your dreams. Maybe you'll think about nothing at all. But that's okay. We don't need to be productive every second of every day. Sometimes it's okay to just be.
Okay. I do think that most of you by now know that I'm just making making some bread. But I do have to say I, I feel like I've become so much more intentional now that I've learned to skill for the ones who want to. It's nothing special as you just saw, and that's the main fact, right? It doesn't always have to be something special. And that’s the main fact right? it doesn’t always have to be something special.that’s something I’ve been coming to realize here on youtube. everything has become so spectacular so retention driven, it doesn’t feel like me anymore when I’m making content. and finding back that voice has something i’ve been doing on my own, alone here behind the screens and behind the camera.
I've been exploring the art of slowing down, of embracing the mundane and finding beauty in the ordinary. And you know what? It's liberating. I've found solace in the quiet, in the subtle moments of nuance of everyday life. Finding fulfilment in the simplicity of a coffee by the garden. I've realized that it's okay to test around with slow vlog content, to create videos that don't follow the fast-paced trends. It's a gentle rebellion against the constant noise and pressure, a reminder to create content that resonates with authenticity and tranquility. There’s so much more I need to fill you guys in on, but that will be for another video. and remember:
    Sometimes nothing, is everything.

    Recipe by @JuicingPeaches
    • ARTISAN BREAD | NO KNE...
    Ingredient:
    - 400g flour
    - 5g of salt
    - 4g active dry yeast
    - 350ml of lukewarm water
    1. Mix yeast in water and let bloom for about 15 mins
    2. Add salt & flour in separate bowl.
    3. After 15 min, add yeast mixture to the flour. Use a spatula carefully mix together.
    4. Cover with a damp towel and let it rise for at least 2 hours
    5. After 2 hours, transfer the dough onto a floured parchment paper. Shape your dough into a ball or loaf, then cover with a damp towel and let it rest for another 30 minutes. Now place your Dutch oven with a lid on in the oven and preheat to 230°C.
    6. After those 30 minutes, place the dough with parchment paper into preheated Dutch oven. Cut excess parchment paper.
    7. Cover with a lid and bake (230°C) for 30 mins
    8. After 30 mins, take the lid off and bake for another 15 mins or until golden crust
    9. Take it off, let it rest for 20 mins
    10. Enjoy!

Thanks friendo! That actually means a lot because for the first time in a looooong while this was a video I felt just happy to create and didn’t get sucked into the yt trap. It just worked out so effortlessly… maybe its just the universe saying my style should be slow ass vlogs 😂
You hang in there my friend… and take care of that mental load in there 🙋🏻‍♂️🙏🏻🤗

Good to finally have some content from you again, great video as always :D Also: the irony of relaxing, going offline, just being present ... with a video on UA-cam ;)

The irony was one of the reasons to make this video haha 😂 thanks for stopping by again my friend! Been away from notifications for a while to focus, so didn’t see the comment until now 😅 there’s a new fresh one out since yesterday! 🙋🏻‍♂️

Spot on Tom! I could really relate to your thoughts and feelings around YT and the format that’s being promoted. In late April I hit the wall and realized I burned out trying to chase the idea of consistant videos with high audience retention. Haven’t made a video since and it’s incredibly liberating. Finding other ways to be creative and discover the world around me. Hope you feel the same. Realizing and accepting that life is not a mere transaction, where you give one thing and get another. Sometimes you give and you give and you don’t feel you get anything. Realizing that things we want most of the time are out of our control is one step towards mental health. But also empower ourselves to figure out that the things we need are always within reach.
That bread looked soooo good but the coffee way too weak 😂
Thanks for this video Tom. Helps me find more acceptance around my own choices to focus on the little things. Because it’s as you seem to say. If you can’t appreciate the little things, how can you ever be happy with the big ones. Stay creative. Stay curious my friend.

Bro Vilhelm always coming in with the fire haha! Thanks for the love and thanks for the kind words again friendo 🙋🏻‍♂️ I feel ya. I had to take a step back to recalibrate and go back in helicopter view of what was happening. When you’re creating non stop you tend to get in hyper focus and you sometimes lose the bigger picture. At least thats me with my undiagnosed adhd traits 😂 I think people consider their goals a bit too loosely and might just get caught in the rat race we think society dictates… the little things is that quiet rebellion ☺️
Btw, that coffee is a lighter roast so try getting a black cup out of that 🥲😂
Also btw, your vlogs were a lovely kick in the but I needed 😌

Really nice … a great counterpoint to all the Casey N stuff.
This is a calling for me to find and exercise my own voice, tone and style

    I love this so much!
On a recent holiday I stepped away from UA-cam intentionally and when opened it back up I was shocked to realize how intense thumbnails have become.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is to take a step back.
