I'm convinced Gronk went all in on TB12 method (at least the workouts maybe not the food) and that's what got him feeling good enough to play an entire season. He hasn't done that in a long time.
its all between the ears with brady, he sees things before others do, hence the 7, media raves about running qbs, arm strength, the stuff that really does not matter
Brady's second TD to Gronk is actually masterful. Brady starts throwing that ball at the exact same moment Gronk starts making his cut. Gronk is still facing the sideline as Brady starts the throwing motion, so it's an incredible anticipation throw and trust in Gronk who had to turn and accelerate to meet the ball. Even if the defender played it perfectly that's probably still a catch.
The pace of TB's offense took KC by surprise. My goodness, the 2nd & 3rd quarter TB was just marching up and down the field. Brady is average in every single athletic category, but his execution and instinct are 100 times beyond his peers. He beat Brees, Rodgers, and Mahomes in consecutive weeks. How good do you have to be?
I don't even necessarily agree with the athletic part. I would argue he's more athletic than any qb. He threw for 40 tds and 4000 yards at 43. He also launches the ball crazy far still. I don't know where that myth came from that he couldn't throw deep or move around. Go back and watch footage of his 2007 campaign. He was a machine.
Starts with the running game, I felt Tampa was more physical and could impose their will on that smallish chiefs defense and it showed. After that, it was evident the chiefs DB's and LB's couldn't cover the Bucs WR's & TE's without holding but all the talk was about the chiefs playmakers and forgot about Tampa's playmakers who were big, physical, and quick.
Facts man I told people the chiefs were better than the Bucs but the Bucs are a terrible matchup for them if it’s win or go home bc they’d have to play perfect to beat them. They are too much of a finesse team
@@deez9805 That's the problem, so many were praising the chiefs and so many made it a coronation. I felt the Bucs matched up with them perfectly and they were a lot bigger than the chiefs. When the Bucs ran the football with power, they bloodied up that smallish chiefs defense that I felt was overrated. The Bucs had Power in Fournette and Thunder in Jones to compliment that offensive line, those tacklers didn't want to take that head on.
@@Miller2h41 This is 100% true, I wanted the Bucs to win, one of my best friends is a Florida Boy and I really wanted to the title to go to Tampa since his Jax pining always gets squashed, but even then I was like "Chiefs have this" because of the perception they give off as being the ultimate stacked team. Truth is, Tampa is just as stacked and with absolute assassins on the D. Then you have the Fournette factor; a double threat back with zero quit in him who takes new-school speed and strength with old-school grit.
I like how Brady drops back and settles in the pocket, and then delivers the ball to the receivers on time. Seems like it's something other teams should be trying.
Great breakdown, JT. Brady takes a couple steps back and releases the ball quickly with precision. In contrast, Mahomes basically played backyard football, running around and taking all day to make decisions.
Exactly. Reid and Bieniemy were awful, but Mahomes should shoulder a lot of the blame as well. In fact, he was exposed to certain extent in this game. Of course, not many teams have the Bucs personnel to repeat this performance - with front 4 getting home without blitzes and inside backers seamlessly able to transition from coverage to blitzing....
not really his fault it’s adjustment and scheme issues. they didn’t adjust and kept calling plays that took too long to develop with a shattered o line and he had to do it. i rooted for the bucs too but it was obvious KC as a team got exposed
@@vinhtruong4203 I beg to differ. Sure, The staff is probably more responsible for this fiasco, but Mahaomes should've also made quicker decisions. There were times where he had underneath guys open, and he kept looking for deeper options. He also drifted back when he had no pressure, probably out of habit. (Tony Bosselli said Mahomes has the worst footwork of any QB he's seen.) Finally, he should've audibled more runs when he saw 6 man back-fields.
Brady is the master of dink-and-dunk. People laugh at dink and dunk for being easy, but you need to process the play development quickly and throw the ball precisely to make it work.
JT! Brady showed us again last night that it all comes back to mechanical efficency, release, football IQ & scheme around him. You can't free-lance and expect to win.
@Mike Fitzpatrick I love flashy qb's who can run: Rogers, Wilson, Mahomes but that doesn't mean they're more effective than Brady's efficient pin-point accuracy. It's like Tim Duncan The Big Fundamental.
Empty backfield could mean all out blitz. Thats why Brady called for max protection. Just brilliant. Thats exactly what Mahomes failed to do, calling for more protection and therefore had to run for about 500 yrds....backwards, which also doesnt help the O-line in protecting you.
I have watched Brady a lot of years and there are games where his balls are all over the place. past 3 or 4 years the sports media has basically pronounced Brady dead. Yet, he brings winning records and Super Bowls he is always proving them wrong. After watching video and remembering the game, in addition to masterful planning, it would appear there was perfect play selection. No play was selected that would have him have to throw the ball away. I felt that during the game but, its hard to verify in real time. Imagine, Brady threw 3 INTs the championship and still won, two absolutely ridiculous INTs out of the 3, so naturally I'm hoping he don't do that again in the Super Bowl...he didn't. I have not seen him this crisp on short passes in quite some time. Usually he throws after having to wait for someone to get open. These plays looked like the short pass was part of the plan and was executed without hesitation once the longer routes were unavailble. Additionally, as you showed, the back was not detained from the route, so on the blitzes Brady and the back knew that ball was coming out fast and the back was ready, that is not, and has not been a common occurrence the past 2 years. I would say Brady peaked as a field general on and off the field, everyone in his offense moved around the offense impecibly on what they were supposed to do. The KC offense was at a disadvantage because the defense of Tampa bay was operating at a higher level than the offense. And so, it is being floated had everyone been 100%, no substitute tackles, that there would have been a different level of competition coming from KC. This made me think. The object of a football team is to beat the opponent in front of you. Just beat them. Your team is not responsible for the opposing team. One guy got a tooth ache and couldn't play, the other hurt his ankle and he's out, That is fate when important players don't play. The job of the football team is to go out play their butts off and win the game. That is the essense of the objective in the game of football. Is luck involved sure. But luck is not to be relied on. The Bucs knew the officiating crews were heavy flaggers, did they know most of the flags would be called on the misbehaving Chiefs in the first half? No, that was a lucky deal, and it happens. Bucs played well enough not to have flag calling mistakes like the Chiefs. See, I'm a funny guy. I been rooting for Brady a long time and almost every year I expect they will get to the 2nd round and maybe the championship round, but never get to the Super Bowl. Frankly, the year we lost to the Eagles, that was the second of a back to back Super Bowl run. It was amazing and to me I did not expect it at all. Most of the Super Bowl wins after the 9 year break were unexpected, but great when they happened. We beat the Rams and Brady did not throw one TD, we play the Eagles and he throws for 505 yards, and we lose. Did not then and has made no sense that happened, and I blame none of the losses of Super Bowls on Brady. Both Giants losses, Brady left the field with a lead the defense gave up, and the Eagles loss was simple, there was no defense, though Nick Foles was great in that game. The Patriots defense was in my words bush league. That's 3 losses. Add those 3 losses to the 4 AFC Championships lost and that's seven. So, we are here looking at a guy who rightly should have 14 Super Bowl wins in his curriculum vitae! How about that?! Nice video.
Gronk balled out in the first match up. I laughed when I saw Mathew on one on with AB on the goal line . My wife was like how did you know they were going to Brown .
I was very surprised the Chiefs and Mahomes didn't call for more checkdowns or quick passes. Considering how decimated they were at the O-line, there was no need to play long ball. Tampa's weakness all year was trying to stop the quick passes to those slot WRs.
@Chazz man Mahomes is a physical marvel, but his football IQ at this stage is at a remedial level. Unless he improves in terms of reading defenses and decision-making, he's going to decline steeply as he ages.
I just discovered this Channel seems Nice. You stated something I have heard tru the years (20) about Tom Brady: He understand defenses and reacts quicker than anybody else, QBs that run, for me it shows weakness!
I completely agree with your assessment. On the face of it not amazing yardage but would have been way higher if they hadn't just been running the clock down from mid 3rd qtr onwards. Incredible precision, especially from Brady but also from his supporting cast.
The slip screen to Gronk was effective because it was set up earlier in the game. The first time they had Gronk come across in motion but handed off to Fournette going away from the motion. The second time Gronk was wide open and Brady makes a short but perfect pass to allow him to keep his stride and score.
I know this vid about Brady but I seen a lot of AB hate lately and I would just like to point out he had the most important touchdown in the game. That one before the half was a gut punch to the chiefs offense bc it meant more points to overcome and hadn’t even figured out what to do on offense yet. All that BS aside, AB is an amazing receiver man. He actually went out and earned his ring with the time and opportunities (targets) given.
I noticed that Tom Brady has live legs. What I mean is what ends great QB's career's most of the time is there legs. That's what ended Marino's career. Brady has kept his weight down, and kept his pocket legs live. Yes he can play as long as his legs stay live. Brady proved it was he who was the Patriot way. Not bill.
There was a pass play with the center pulled out to the left side of the left tackle. Right before the snap The center was pointing out the player he moved to block like he was the middle linebacker. I can't remember if it was even first half for second half. But if you come across it, it's something that I would like explained.
Am I mistaken but when i watch these young quarterbacks, ala Maholmes or Josh Allen or many others from the past, at some point because these guys rely on the scramble, they find early successes but inevitably they get hurt, injured and lose their scrambling capabilities. What Quarterback over 30 can still scramble? These guys need to learn pocket passing and advanced offensive schemes to stay in the game for a long time.
I've been saying that for years. The only reason running QBs are a thing is that the rules prevent defenses from teeing off on them like they used to in the past. Once their legs go and they have to rely solely on passing, they usually fall off. I'll take a classic pocket passer any day of the week.
Correct. QBs need to learn protections and get rid of the ball quickly. If they keep bailing in order to scramble they never develop timing, progressions and consistency. Then injuries begin to pile up. But the media continually lauds QBs who play like RBs.
This has been one of my critiques of the games of Mahomes and Jackson. They get so enraptured with their abilities that they slowly start to lose the fundamentals. Then they get injured or someone figures them out and they can't fall back on the basic skills of a quarterback. Its like what happened to Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury. He was so reliant on that right hand that when Fury attacked his style directly he had such poor fundamentals that it turned into a beat down. If you cannot be fundamentally sound in any sport then when raw ability starts to fail you you have nothing there to catch you and sustain you until you can evolve. Its sad to think that this highlight driven sports culture is hampering young QBs.
I agree. I don’t care what system we are running. I want my quarterback to be a pocket passer. At the end of the day the main job of the QB is to get the ball down the field via his arm. The scramble QBs are taking off bc you can’t get hit like you used to and d lines are getting better, mainly due to players athleticism increasing.
@@NatCr3w Jackson really shouldn't be in this discussion. He doesn't even have an average arm talent. His stats during the MVP season was highly misleading, because he had multiple wide open receivers due to defenses being confused or forced to react to the run threat.

He was like a general, first secure the pocket (defence in offensive), than chill and trink the 10o'clock coffee, than see which catcher are free, and simply trow it to the position to finish the enemy. A crul general in perfection.
@@aqvamarek5316 absolutely unstoppable. I can see what these defensive guys have been talking about his whole career. You break your tackle and flood the pocket but by the time you do, he has the ball thrown down the seam through 5 defenders and gronk or fournette is already halfway up the field.
Tom is the YODA of Football!!!!!! Tom has been to 5 of the last 7 Super Bowls & Won 4 of them! Case closed!!! He's on a Quest for the perfect undefeated season & Tampa Bay is the most talented team he has ever played on...I don't see another team standing in their way at the moment.. I See Tom is on an Epic Quest for his Elusive Perfect Season, his last Dragon to Slay! & It feelis like the Bucs are the Team Destin to Help Him Finally achieve that Ultimate goal. ....there must be some ancient prophecy about a magical goat that makes Magic Rings appear... & Silver Footballs.... Anyone who wouldn't want to play with Tom is a fool... The Bucs were hungrier. That D looked like an unstoppable beautifully synchronized shark feeding frenzy with blood in the water, feasting Lil Lamb Chops, Cheetah Steaks & Kelcicles for Dessert!. Tom warned them not to cry after the NFC Champ & save it for finishing the Job. It looked like KC has blew theirs after beating the bills & had nothing left to finish the Job. For all the wow trickery of running qb's, the odds of getting injured playing that way is inherently stacked against them having a long career. Tom knows that wasting his energy running around trying to make a play all the time is counter productive because he's not trying to catch his breath all the time which keeps him calm & aware instead of panting in panic after every scramble. This is his true Genius. The less you have to move the more focused & aware you are to make the right decision on every throw minimizing mistakes & conserving energy to finish the game & preventing serious injuries not taking risks on every play. Historical Note: QB's & Teams that loose to Brady in the SB don't make it back to the SB in the same decade. Accept old Kurt...
Brady line was way better at protecting him- Who was Mahomies checkdown man? Didn't see one I don't think Kelce Is an option at a blocker - How bout explaining what KC did Wrong to make this so lopsided? I myself think Reids head was on his son and not on the play calling- Losing three starting O Lineman didn't help- I think the Browns with their Two man running game- would have given Tampa a more Competitive battle-
At this point in the progression of football I think we have to consider cover 1 and 0 as an outdated brand of coverage. It should only be used situationally and sparingly. Offenses and players are too good and the rules of the game do not favor bump man coverage anymore. Today's defense has to start with a 2 high structure. The proof is in the pudding. Play man and robber with 1 safety deep at your own risk.
Preach lmao chiefs corners couldn’t guard the bucs recievers therefore they have to hold them...chiefs coaches put them in a bad position...only a team like the rams could get away with playing cover 1 the whole game
It depends on who you have on defense. The Patriots' most recent Super Bowl run was a ton of single high press coverage. They had the DPOY in Gilmore, and smart, disciplined DBs across the board. Hell, they beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead that year in the AFCCG lol. Not every team can play that way, but if you have the personell for it then it can still be run consistently and effectively.
I like how he describes nuclear physics in simple terms. Tom Brady's brain or mind has amass such processing power to see in slo-mo while us earthlings see normal speed.
I would love a video as in depth as possible of how tom brady and bellicheck watch film. Then how they make adjustments based off traditional answers and answers based off their personel.
If you look up “Belicheck Breakdowns” with Scott Zolak there is quite a bit of footage from a local New England TV network on UA-cam with decent film breakdown. Some of it is basic because he’s not trying to give up secrets but sometimes it’s super insightful (see one random clip below). Theres a clip of Brady and BB breaking down Ed Reed film as well on UA-cam that is interesting but short. I’d imagine they won’t share too much until they are both long past retired. I think they mainly just gather as much data as possible first hand. Don’t listen to the hype of what someone is good or bad at. Figure it out firsthand and watch as much film as possible. That and respecting everyone’s game. You don’t write anyone off because on a good day any NFL caliber player can torch your ass even if “they suck”. ua-cam.com/video/7pxZursmvMY/v-deo.html
Hmm, Tom is not even close to being a Dual Threat QB, but he still smashed it! Scoring 3 passing TDs and due to that the fourth TD was made much easier because of the RPO. Cant say enough good things about the Bucs COMPLETE TEAM VICTORY!
Never understood why the bucs played play man to man the whole season lmao they can’t guard the bucs recievers therefore they have to hold lmao it’s not hard to understand...they don’t have the corners to play man to man 🤷🏼♂️ also the refs didn’t cause the chiefs to only score 9 points 😂 casuals bruh
If you cant protect your qb you put a te ou a extra lineman to help. Just amazes me andy reid lack of attitude in this adversity cenario. He disapoint deeply. Just accepted the defeat
Great video ty! You mentioned you thought AB's TD route was not a 'whip,' but an 'out-n-in,' can you explain the diff cuz i thought that was what a whip was?
There has never been anything wrong with checkdowns, and people have clowned Brady for years for doing it. If I could guarantee you 4-6 yards every single play, absolutely take it.
Just curious why you call it the red area and not red zone. Just a variation in terminology? I've heard certain coaches have different definitions of what they think is the red zone, like starting at the 30 yard line.
Those are the plays that average fans don't care much for. Those plays are at a much higher level than Rogers or Mahomes scrambling around and throw on their back foot or while falling backward etc. Brady is the Grand Master QB. He makes higher level plays look ordinary. Average football fans can't appreciate that because they view a 5 yards checkdown as an ordinary play because it doesn't have the same sizzle as the running around like a mad chicken and throw while falling. In terms of Martial Arts Brady is like a 4 degrees Grand Master Black Belt and Mahomes is like a brown belt.
When Tom Brady plays the refs don't let the D backs cheat. Mathieu didn't get called once last year against the Niners and played far more aggressively. Against Brady they called a touch...
Love your channel..........but.....in your Niners-Chiefs superbowl breakdown, you criticized the Niners when they had Kittle stay in for pass protection, but here you commend the Bucs for Gronk doing the same. Results influencing your critique?
Thing is that when Gronk is in pass pro there are also fournette, evans, goodwin and ab or scotty miller out on the field. That was also a problem KC hat that they needed kelce so bad to catch that they couldn't use him to block. Bucs can do it all
Great video JT as usual, on the AB TD I'm pretty sure he throws it low deliberately to minimize tips and picks, his guy is the only one who can possibly get the ball. Being 1st down it's either a TD or an incomplete and the clock stops and they have time on 2nd down to try again. He did this in NE too. Brady's elite at at minimizing the defense opportunity at the ball in the red zone. Amazing decision maker in the biggest moments.
AB ran the wrong route on the play he was supposed to cut inside and fade to the top pylon but changed it last second and Brady still got him for the touchdown.
@@aphex412w yea so I believe, it's the subtle elite excellence that so many people miss with Brady. That's why you still had so many people out there this year, saying Brady was no good. Hard to believe these people get paid to broadcast such insanity. If you watch Brady throw a 50 yard pass, it looks easy. Some other QBs throwing a 50 yarder they look like they're really working to get that ball down the field. Because it often looks effortless people mistake it for being easy. Brady doesn't do a between the legs pass or something clipped and shared on social media that looks spectacular, but somehow 31 points are on the board.
@@JR-gb6no they have option routes, but it's not any route it's usually a 2 way option. And that typically in the slot, they're not free to run anything they want, the option is within the system.
Wait why are you here praising the subtleties and little hidden quirks of QB play that Brady has mastered? I only care when fast man throw far... Brandon Perna told me Brady is bad because he throws short touchdowns. Who do I believe :(((((((((((( ?
Gronks touch down is a play Brady has been running for 8 years now. The false pull TE side guard to the TE side. He also adds in quick play action, doesn’t have to be a hard sell because the line backer on TE has to read the guard for run first. Since the guard pulls it gives the TE or Gronk a half step on the backer he can never recover from. It’s almost always a seam. It’s such a solid play design and if the run game is working even a little the play action gets them from the pulling gaurd
I only watch one game a year and admit I know next to nothing but Mahomes appeared to be very indecisive or had his helmet on backwards vs Brady who seemed to have direct feed access to all camera angles. I had money on TB but thought it would be KC game to lose

The 2nd TD to Gronk: He looked towards his left after brief look on right, which lured the defenders in the middle to left. He looked back the moment the defender move to left. This tiny move forced Chiefs 2-on-2 on Godwin and Gronk on the right with huge space to get open.

From my count Brady has now thrown TD Passes to 85 different receivers in the regular season.
Brady’s playoff TD receivers list is now at 33.
Brady has thrown for 664 TDS to include seasonal and playoff games.
JT! Brady showed us again last night that it all comes back to mechanical efficency, release, football IQ & scheme around him. You can't free-lance and expect to win.
Bingo.
Thats exactly what Mahomes failed to do, calling for more protection and therefore had to run for about 500 yrds....backwards, which also doesnt help the O-line in protecting you.
coaches could've helped as well... realizing he was being chased every play and putting more guys to protect him
@@lesperdants absolutely. No doubt. He gave some interviews since and talked about his play and i agree with him.
Brady's accuracy and decision making. Out of this world
I have watched Brady a lot of years and there are games where his balls are all over the place.
past 3 or 4 years the sports media has basically pronounced Brady dead.
Nice video.
No one else can rock a vest like JT does.

Gronk balled out in the first match up. I laughed when I saw Mathew on one on with AB on the goal line . My wife was like how did you know they were going to Brown .
Brady is incredible in the pocket. Makes quick reads, throws the ball accurately and on time! Young QB’s should study his game.
Contrast that with Mahomes completely failing to use his checkdowns despite them being open and despite the Bucs quick pressure.
Mahomes QBR goes down 30% in Super Bowls. Maybe he can fix that, maybe not.
@Chazz man Glad someone pointed out the insanely deep drops. It hurts the linemen not helps them.
@@alfarabi73 Very good point.
Not bill.
More impressive he moved Arians out of the way after the bye week and brought in plays that he knew would work. Arians didn't have a clue.
Let's go Bucs! Great breakdowns through the whole season!!
love real football analysis
There was a pass play with the center pulled out to the left side of the left tackle. Right before the snap The center was pointing out the player he moved to block like he was the middle linebacker. I can't remember if it was even first half for second half. But if you come across it, it's something that I would like explained.
I think it was the last play he showed with Gronk coming in to block. The whole line is pointing to who the are going to block.

Didn't see one I don't think Kelce
Is an option at a blocker - How bout explaining what KC did
Wrong to make this so lopsided? I myself think Reids head was on his son and not on the play calling- Losing three starting O Lineman didn't help- I think the Browns with their
Two man running game- would have given Tampa a more
Competitive battle-
Bottom line is Tom Brady beat you before the ball is even snapped. His abilty to read the defense is what makes him the GOAT.

Maybe it’s me but Antonio Brown was open on a couple of plays!

You don't seem very thrilled talking about the success of TB12.
