Anytime a Peyton Fanboy tries to tell me Peyton Manning >>> Tom Brady. I just point to this game right here. Most conclusive situational in a vacuum type of evidence you can have in an unbiased lense. The Football way of letting the play do the talking instead of the stat sheet. Both of these legends played the same near identical defense in back to back superbowls with the Defense showing no drop off in play for both years. In fact it was statically better the next year than the 1st year of recognition/glory. Only difference was the Quarterbacks and offenses they played. Peyton having a bad game and loss with an offensive cast that was better talent wise than the Cast surrounding Brady in which he had a great game while securing a win in a clutch like fashion. Yes Seattle was banged up but so is the opposing offense that they are playing. It's the NFL everyone plays hurt. Brady ended that debate in this game as well as proving he is the best quarterback in NFL History.
to be fair, if they didnt pass and rushed and got a td this video would be "how the seahawks decimated tom brady" they were so close, tom wasnt in the picture, and it was just the pats secondary vs the hawks offense.
That's a silly title for this. Sherman had 1 arm and neede Tommy John surgery in the offseason. Earl Thomas had 1 arm and had to have surgery on his separated shoulder in the offseason. Kam chancellor torn his mcl the week of the game and had to have surgery. Jeremy lane dislocated his elbow and tore his acl after picking off Brady in the 1st. Still they were playing good until cliff avril got a concussion. Once avril was gone they doubled bennet every play and Brady finally had time to throw. Brady is the best but this title is silly

Brady saved the game for the Patriots by getting the gaming winning interception on Russell Wilson in the end zone with less than a minute on the clock. What a 🐐
Butler had the big moment. Tom brady made sure it could have happened. No brady, no lead, no pick. If they dont have brady the patriots never lead that game ever, nor do theg ever even score a td more than likely
That 3rd and 14 is Julian Edelman's signature moment for me. People remember the tipped ball against the Falcons 2 years later, but lets be honest, there was an element of luck in that play. This was just straight up Edelman doing what he did best. Huge catch to convert a 3rd and very long in a huge moment, takes a huge hit from Kam Chancellor, the guy who really put the Boom in Legion of Boom, holds on and even tries to keep running after the hit too. There's a lot of bigger name WRs out there, some headed for the Hall, that don't make those kinds of catches. They're either too concerned with protecting themselves to even make the catch in the first place, or they just don't hold on after Kam Chancellor lay into them. I think Edelman deserves the Hall myself, but stat dorks think putting up numbers in garbage time in meaningless regular season games matters more than catches like that.
Yeah all 11 defensive players were on life support and given last rights also - Plus they had to walk 1500 miles uphill to even get to the SB 😂 Meanwhile years later over in Tampa Brady played the entire SB on a fully torn MCL and was still SB MVP

Sherman played this game with torn ligaments in his elbow too. Unfortunately with how long these seasons are it seems as whoever’s healthiest normally comes out with the W

After Jeremy lane Broke his arm the flood gates opened for Tom Brady. Jeremy was locking his side of the field Down. But his back up couldn’t keep it together.
Also seems unfair to not mention that Sherman, Thomas and Chancellor were all playing through injury, and Jeremy Lane the other starting CB was injured after that 1st int and left the game, and also that Brady was being playing like shit the whole game until Cliff Avril was injured in the 2nd half allowing Michael Bennett to be double teamed to actually give him time to throw against *check notes*…Tharold Simon, and that literally every completion on their final TD drive was against Simon, who I’m pretty sure was out of the league and never played again after that game… But yea, he totally shredded the LOB. Exactly, I remember Cliff Avril left this game with a concussion, Richard Sherman got injured in the NFC Championship game, Kam had a torn MCL, Earl Thomas had an injury as well but I don't remember what it was-
The real mvp of this game was the Patriots defense. They contained the Seahawks offense drive after drive until Brady and the offense finally got it going in the 4th quarter of the game. And the Patriots defense made the final interception to secure the victory.
Thomas, Sherman e Chancellor chegaram ao Super Bowl lesionados, além da lesão de Lane na primeira interceptação, que foi crucial, já que seu reserva (Simon) foi horrível. Wagner também se machucou no meio do jogo.
Tom Brady was amazing but Earl Thomas had a banged up shoulder, Chancellor had a major knee injury, Sherman was playing with one arm after the hyperextended elbow, and Jeremy Lane their nickel cb got hurt, and for the rest of the game edelman and amendola took their turns abusing Simon.
*cracks knuckles* There was nothing wrong with Pete's call. The clock was winding down and they had 1 time out left. If Marshawn gets stopped they burn the last time out and then risk the clock running out if Marshawn gets stopped again. Let's be generous and say there's a ~70% chance Russ doesn't throw a TD on the play, that incomplete stops the clock and you still have your timeout so you can then either run or pass. What are the odds a quick slant at the goal line gets intercepted? Play call was fine, result was horrible. Thank you for coming to my Pete Talk
I knew Brady would light them the fuck up. Bet a grand on the patriots in that Super Bowl. I’ve seen Brady go against all the best defenses in the modern era, and he’s torched them all.
Brady threw two picks in this game. On the first, the guy who made the pick, Jeremy Lane, broke his wrist and tore his ACL. On the second, Cliff Avril suffered a concussion and was out the rest of the game - you can see him go down in the video. Made that fourth quarter a lot easier.

We're just going to ignore that the three biggest names in the LOB all had significant injuries. Lane, the starting corner opposite Sherman got hurt immediately after picking off Brady and when Cliff Avril went down with a concussion in that game, that allowed the NE O-line to double team Bennett and give Brady wayyyy more time to throw the ball in the forth quarter. 4 TDS SB passing yards record at the time and SB MVP and game winning drive his defense was the reason they were in that position in the first place aka letting them get so close and score so many points and it was more so incompetent playcalling and Russ not saying anything that lost the game but being down 10 in the 4th quarter is a tough situation

their head coach pete carroll is dirty. Dude encourages dirty hits too.
Why? Is it because they were so good? 🤣 If the Seahawks were never so dominant would you hate them?
Btw do you play any competitive sport? I'm always confused as to why people act like losing isn't a part of sport
I mean, he ruined Tharold Simon because Jeremy Lane got hurt and he had more time to throw because Cliff Avril got hurt in the game as well. He also still threw 2 INT's. Saying he ruined the LOB is not exactly what happened because he basically spammed throws to whoever Tharold Simon, the 5th string corner was covering.
Facts
You act as if Seattle was a man to man team. Not everything was given up Simon's way. Don't be ridiculous. You also seem to forget the Lane injury happened in the Seattle's redzone. You think the Patriots just happened to appear there or they drove the field and was threatening to score even with Lane in the game? The Patriots figured out that defense for that game
Excellent Job as always Alex.
Thank you Freddy!
Such a sick angle on that pass at 8:02
Kam Chancellor vs Rob Gronkowski
I recall it was one play where Gronk beat Kam on one route and that was the only play I see them matching up one-on-one till their next matchup in a sunday night regular season matchup in 2016 …
Man, I'm the biggest Kam fan ever but nobody could guard Gronk in that SB. He shook Kam up a couple of times real good
I believe youre referring to that crossing route in the 4th quarter.
@@aaronjackson9385 Exactly! Gronk was at #3 and ran straight across the field. Kam had no chance
@@AlexRollinsNFL he sure didnt. That was a huge play and signified that the Patriots were in firm control and had Seattle on theit heels. That was prime and healthy Gronk, not inconsistent Jimmy Graham who they bullied in the playoffs the year before.
I think seattle losing lane hurt
Brady ended that debate in this game as well as proving he is the best quarterback in NFL History.
tom faced a injured lob Peyton faced a prime lob not the same
@@Thatsnotme691 Thats such a cope also have to bring up that Peyton has never played well in a Superbowl, he didn't deserve mvp vs the bears.
to be fair, if they didnt pass and rushed and got a td this video would be "how the seahawks decimated tom brady" they were so close, tom wasnt in the picture, and it was just the pats secondary vs the hawks offense.
Ahh yes Richard Sherman on a broken arm lane tearing a ACL chancellor on one leg
Thomas had a shoulder injury as well from the NFCCG. And Cliff Avril getting injured late is when the defense lost control of the game.
@@beastbod Yeah players get injured, most the pats player probably had injuries too.
@@jameswinslow8540 something tells me you’d take exception if Brady tore a ligament and lost and someone said “lol Brady sucks and got owned”
@@beastbod nah if he was playing and looked fine throwing the ball and played poorly I'd say he was bad.

Lets be real, Pete Carroll ruined the LOB by not running it with Beast Mode with 1 timeout
I think Edelman deserves the Hall myself, but stat dorks think putting up numbers in garbage time in meaningless regular season games matters more than catches like that.
i don’t know how everyone forgets but literally everyone in the legion of boom was playing through injury that game
Tom Brady used his magical GOAT powers to injure them from his tv
Yeah all 11 defensive players were on life support and given last rights also - Plus they had to walk 1500 miles uphill to even get to the SB 😂
Meanwhile years later over in Tampa Brady played the entire SB on a fully torn MCL and was still SB MVP
Excuses are like elbows. Most people have at least two.

I'm a Seahawks fan and I just want to point out that Sherm, Kam and Earl were all battling serious injuries as well as Lane being out after his injury and Brady didn't start lighting up the defense until the 4th quarter after Bennett went out with a concussion
All of that and we still had the chance to win and Russ doesn't hand it off to Beast mode.........

@@truth3412 Sure, no one says that the Pats didnt win fair and square, or that they did not deserve the win. But that does not means that Brady completely destroyed the LoB.

Some people have already said it, but yeah every major member of the lob was hurt. Avril wasn’t even playing, lost the nickel corner who’d picked off Brady earlier

Sherman played this game with torn ligaments in his elbow too. Unfortunately with how long these seasons are it seems as whoever’s healthiest normally comes out with the W

@@Pipsqueak- I don’t think that had much of a factor because Brady rarely targted his side. Also Brady threw for over 300 yards and at least 24 points in all 3 of his games against the lob

Pat's were nearing the Seahawks redzone so they still was getting yards on Seattle even with Lane.
Do 28-3 and breakdown how Brady and the Pats engineered a 25 point comeback in super bowl 51 against the Falcons
I heard that Earl Thomas was playing with a bad knee this game.
One thing I have noticed, that when a team loses to NE in a Super Bowl, they never recover. They might as well start rebuilding then.
Even when they win, they never recover. Philadelphia beat NE in SB 52 and they stunk the next year.
Seems unfair to leave out Brady's RZ int
I mentioned he had 2, just didn't have time to cover the 1st one
Also seems unfair to not mention that Sherman, Thomas and Chancellor were all playing through injury, and Jeremy Lane the other starting CB was injured after that 1st int and left the game, and also that Brady was being playing like shit the whole game until Cliff Avril was injured in the 2nd half allowing Michael Bennett to be double teamed to actually give him time to throw against *check notes*…Tharold Simon, and that literally every completion on their final TD drive was against Simon, who I’m pretty sure was out of the league and never played again after that game…
But yea, he totally shredded the LOB. Beating them by the massive amount of 4 points and empowering Malcolm Butler to make that int.

The real mvp of this game was the Patriots defense. They contained the Seahawks offense drive after drive until Brady and the offense finally got it going in the 4th quarter of the game. And the Patriots defense made the final interception to secure the victory.
They played good, but its not like seattles offense was what everyone was afraid of.
