Can I get your personal take on this camper? Problems? Is it reliable? Does stuff break only weeks into ownership?
I’ve used my camper extensively since I purchased it in February of last year and I would say overall, it’s served me well in both freezing temperatures and 110 degrees alike. As you know, the appliances such as fridge, furnace, AC, water heater etc., are all manufactured by different entities like Dometic for example and have been in the business for many years. That said, I have put all of the onboard appliances to the test and am very happy with their performance so far.
Now, as for the camper structure itself, there have been a few items I’ve had to address. Some of the interior trim came loose around the floor moulding but Gorilla Glue came to the rescue. In addition to that, I had to have the dealer reseal the forward window (the one that looks into the cab of my truck) as water would leak into the interior of the camper when driving through heavy rain. I also had to address some loose electrical connections with the solar panel.
All in all, it feels like a sturdy camper with good build quality and has kept me comfortably warm, cool and dry in several of those Texas sized storms we can experience here!
So, with all of this in mind I would say the Palomino line strikes a great balance between cost and quality. I did look at several Lance campers and they may feel slightly more rugged but you’re going to pay for it. The Lance 825 (comparable to my HS-750) has an MSRP of around $50,000with standard options. The 825 is also heavier by about 400lbs.
To finally answer your original question, overall I am very happy with my HS-750 and it has proven to be sturdy and reliable.

I'll ask again I've been looking at buying one in a couple months need to know what I should be paying out-the-door price nobody will give me a straight answer
A dealer in Idaho I'm looking at is telling me it's basically 33,000 out the door for everything with all the options is that about right?
Well optioned out with Tork Lift / Fast Gun tie downs, sounds like a good deal to me!

What kind of mpg do you get with the camper on?.....
Good morning! If I’m not pulling any hills and not battling a head wind, I can squeeze about 14mpg on the open road and between 60 and 65 mph. I have seen it dip down to single digits a few times however. I love the 6.2L power and torque and when you need it, it’ll pass anything but a gas station!

Is that a 6.75 truck Bed?
It is! I thought about the 8’ bed but I like the shorter wheelbase on the short bed. I also appreciate that with the HS-750 you simply open the tailgate, no need to remove it!
@@Seeyoudowntheroad-bc7om I ordered the f-250 in Dec and I just got the VIN for it. Supposed to start the build Jun13th. I got the 6.75 bed with the 7.3 and camper package. I won't really know what I will be able to carry until I get it and am looking at the 8801 and the 750. Looks like the 8801 will ride flush with the tailgate and it will have the integrated stair so I am hoping that I can just use that to get in and out of the camper. If it hangs over the tailgate, I will probably have to go with the 750.
Very cool! I have the 6.2 gasser and am very happy with it. You’ll have to let me know how the 7.3 handles.
I looked at the 8801 also but for me, there were some features I didn’t feel like I needed that just added more weight such as the oven. Of all the RVs I’ve owned, I do t recall ever using the oven but that’s just me!

WHERE IS THE BATTERY?
There are two battery positions adjacent to the fresh water tank and accessible by lifting up the cover that serves as the step up into the bunk.
With the “Badland Edition” you also get a battery tray to be mounted externally on the camper box driver side. You’ll have to raise the camper a bit higher so the battery will clear the wheel well when loading the camper. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Sorry Dude, everyone that knows anything about RV's knows where the fresh water, city water, shower faucet, etc is & how they work. Let's see the inside of the camper, man. No disrespect intended.
Sorry for the confusion but there are two other videos complete with interior views and information. I wanted to gear this towards a broad audience to include anyone just getting into RVing and I assumed RV experts wouldn’t be seeking out these types of videos anyway. My apologies.
