    Hey Deuce. PSA ( Palmetto State Armory ) has a great item on clearance today.
    They have their 16" Barreled Freedom complete Upper including
    Bolt Carrier Group and Charging handle
    For only $199.00 FREE shipping
    It is a flat top upper with A2 front sight post and mid length gas block.
    Comes with standard Army hand guards.
    All the reviews on this upper are very good.

    • @craigmack3361
      @craigmack3361 5 років тому

      Dude be careful. I bought that upper I discovered the tapered pins for the front sight were installed backwards so once I got em off it wasn't compatible with an A2 sight tower. Had to put a new barrel on it to make it work. 2nd the front sight post got stuck and could not be adjusted brand new out of the box. I was pissed. I did everything right. That's exactly why it's at such a low price. I still like PSA and will continue to do business, but I will not make that mistake again

    Very logical. I heard that scopes for break barrel air rifles have to be reinforced to be certified for such a gun due to the double recoil. Have you heard the same thing? Otherwise this might be a cool upgrade for my ruger impact 22. However it is not an accurate gun in the first place and 100 feet is okay but 100 yards would probably not hit the plate.

  • @Munky332
    @Munky332 6 років тому

    Looks like a cheap(er) copy of an old UTG/Leapers I have. Infact, I think I still have the box mine came in, and the box looks almost identical... I have the side focus however.
    Most people don't believe me when I tell them that 1000$ in glass, 9/10 times isn't really all that necessary, especially if you stay in the lower magnification ranges. the higher the mag, the better glass you want. Good glass is cool, I have a few pieces myself above 1000$, but most of my 'arsenal' is the $300 range, and mostly only because I need certain features, like matching turrets/reticles and no BDC.
    I still think probably the best scope under 1000$ if you don't need variable is the 10x SWFA. thing is a tank and glass is amazing for what you pay, and most important of all tracking is spot on.

    Hey BC and Hey to BC-ites. I think in the past you mentioned you might want to build a retro AR-15.
    If that was not you who said that I blame my brain fart on my Atrial Fibrillation and loss of oxygenated
    blood to my brain.
    Well anyhow. I have told you about the AR-15A1 project I finished about 2 years ago.
    I live on a low disabilty budget so I had to make some compromises. I could not afford then to pay
    $250.00 for a correct A1 upper receiver. I compromised and used an Anderson flat top upper
    I bought for $65.00 and bought an aluminum carry handle online from China for $15.00 free shipping.
    Here is the point to this comment.
    WOW!!!!!!! Brownells FINALLY has their ND M-16A1 upper receivers in stock again.
    They sell the stripped Upper for $150.00. They also sell the Blem stripped upper for $125.00.
    You still need to buy the A1 rear sight assy for $20.00 and the ejection port cover and Tear Drop
    Fwd assist. If you are new to Brownells you can sign up for email alerts and you get $10.00 off
    and free shipping.

    That scope cost less that 1/10 of the sales tax you'd pay for a NightForce. These days you can pay over $3000.00 for a scope and the truth is.....you'd never abuse THAT scope like you abused the $36.00 cheapie. Considering all the variables including ability, ammo, the firearm, wind etc. that cheapie scope you have is a MARVEL. Your testing experiments were bordering on ridiculous and having said that, look how well the damn thing held up. Would you even considering doing that to a $3000.00 scope? I've seen all kinds of shooters at my range. Some of them have absolute crap for equipment and they shoot like a pro and some of them have custom built, super expensive everything and can't hit the 6" circle at 100 yards. Unless your life depends on your equipment, I would say THAT SCOPE YOU HAVE is fantastic. Maybe your next experiment should be to compare THAT SCOPE with the most expensive scope you can find and use them both on the same rifle with the same ammo and then see what happens? I wonder just how similar the results would be??

    I liked your testing more than the abuse that plinkster and wranglerstar did. It's pretty much a given that they are fogproof and shockproof. What none of you do is show the tracking of the reticle. I have an old centerpoint 3-9x40 that holds zero even with my mauser k98k. However after turning all the way up/down and all the way left/right a few times there is a huge deadspot (turrets turn but reticle doesnt move). On the opposite sides the reticle tends to bind up forcing left/right to move as you turn up/down... Tracking is inconsistent. With mildot and ill reticle it found it's home on my new walnut xt-22... If you put a camera on the reticle and show tracking problems, that might show a whole new world of problems. One note though, the body of the soniking is very similar to the centerpoint even the parallax adjuster. People said the centerpoint was great except the ghosting at max zoom. I agree but with a firm cheek rest is not a problem and is bright and clear like a nikon....

    Generally the reason they have no markings is because it is simply a generic model. Buy so many and they will print on them whatever you want i.e. Sonic King or even Tasco or any other name you care to think of. I've had 'Tasco' scopes which patently aren't Tasco direct from China and Bushnell is another. Not it the UK in the last few months as they have been brought to task on the abuse of brand names. There are many same spec scopes on eBay UK with various different names. I understand why you are wary as what they should have done was have Amazon send you one off the shelf.

    Thank you so much. I just watched a review from different guy and he made me sick to my stomach. He tortured the scope like no tomorrow. And he didnt say one good word even b 4 he open the box. He was so biased and shity. But u sounds fair. Yes I already have the same scope for 2 month now. On my Remington .308 .it is great great scope for deer hunting and hog hunting. For 36 $ that's bad ass. Cheaper than the scope mount by itself. Almost.

      Most of the guys on UA-cam are good dudes in general but have gotten biased from receiving free stuff from companies and have forgotten what things actually cost. After this review I bought a second scope with my own money because I know a deal when I see it and still value a dollar. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment.

    I don't see how theres any worth while here especially for a scope with no name! I recently found a brand that s as good as a 200 dollar scope for 100. And i did some comparing and was blown away!
