The reason they removed the Prowler class was because they knew all monsters would be driven to extinction from its power
And because everyone would play only as Prowlers what makes the hunter creation irrelevant

turning into a cat condenses the natural energy of any good hunter. It’s just a better way to exist I suppose. Maybe Ted was once the greatest hunter who ever lived, then he decided to become a cat to maximize his strength.

I was too. I used prowler as a beginner rather than hunter and now hunter feels too slow for me lol

Yeah instead of a new weapon in Generations we got Prowlers, really wish they stuck around
They get things like adept evade and perfect block depending on palico type.
Infinite traps, I made a build around them so I could almost always capture, lowering the cooldown.

Rampage mode fun for the first time then instantly a chore
The Fated Four were never this embarrassed when talking about the time they all got beaten up by two palicos. Ted is a genius and this made my day.
I wish this mode comes back in Sunbreak. Even better would be being able to play as either a Palico or a Palamute!
that would be dope, eather become the doggo and allow you're palaco ride you or the other way around :O

That’s going to come in the Sunbreak expansion if it’s to be believed, the only time they do so is occasionally at the end of a hunt or in cutscenes.
That would add yet more perfection to a game I have absolutely no complaints about
I remember actually having a nightmare of a neverending Yian Garuga prowler fight. I didn't even cart I just woke up.
When you've played too much MH that Yian Garuga shows up but not enough to slay him

@@Mindflood18 Gen 1 Yian Garuga in a nutshell, I'm currently playing Freedom and his urgent special quest involves having to repel him within 20 minutes, I failed my first attempt through timeout.
What I love about the prowlers was being able to play as Dante when DMC was pretty much in the gutter back in 2016.
I’m Venezuelan and every time you rage in Spanish I laugh a lot, also when the garuga that bullied you came back and helped you for get forgiven was so funny

There were significantly fewer Poots of Despair in this video, which most certainly means that Ted and the Prowler Gang are infinitely better than a Hunter could ever be

Playing in prowler mode is some of the best fun I've ever had in Monster Hunter. Zipping around a monster in a clawing, mewling frenzy is a blast, not to mention all the cool moves/skills and the cutest armour sets ever.
Are each palico armor set introduction done in the bedroom of the village who’s match the hunted monster, like Bherna for Glavenus, and Yukumo for Mizutsune ?

As someone who only plays bomb cat, this makes me want to learn beast cat. Those invincibility roll backs looked awesome!
Its hard to get the timing right 😭😭 and im so used to dodging using B button so i stick with Bomb
@@marvertjaysonneyra457 Evasion+ can help with the timing, i use it all the time on my Beast and Gather Prowlers, seeing that both of them don't have adept evasion or guard it's pretty much a necessity if you want to keep the pressure on.

If you mean Jsm and not the comment guy from the start, then i'm pretty sure he said he just picks an armor set that goes with a weapon and adds decorations to finish it, like rakna kadaki for bow.

Adept dodging bomber prowler was my jam. Constantly throwing barrel bombs, doing the Giga Barrel bomb on sleeping monsters to end hunts. Good times.

Ted at 10% power. Can knockdown, stun and sometimes even kill giant mosters. ted at 50% power. Gains anime superpowers, can go Super Saiyen and all mosters fall before him.

I think we all want this feature to return. If anything, it's just stupid OP in some cases.
Is it really tho?, Prowlers have great mobility and survivability, but they're also quite weak (prowlers quite literally have the worst clear times of all the weapons, even behind Hunting Horn), so are they really "stupid OP" in some cases?
@@aaajeear8654 I said sometimes. They're like Dual Blades if anything. Small hits but fast output. It depends on the monster

Any love for the Charisma type prowler?
When built right they wreck mons and are fun to play as well as being versatile.
I'd say personally they're better for multiplayer, but yes I still think charisma can kick ass, especially being able to convert every other prowler into aerial style.
i like fast clear times, so Gather Prowler is the one for me, highest Ranged Damage paired with the triple boomerang combo can wreck monsters, even more so if you're up close and add Mega Boomerang to your combos.
Ted the transmographer, turning useless hunters into useful palicos since the beginning of time.

This is definitely one of the things i ve ever seen.
Seeing how the mh community loves the palicos. It's weird that they removed this feature on the newer monster hunter games.
I've never used the more physical prowers since trying to find a good assist and gatherer palico was quite a boring thing for me to do.
However, after watching this you've given me encouragement enough to atleast try one of the physical prowlers.
It's been a long time since I last played mhgu, but iirc it doesn't take too long to get a good one (and I don't think it took that long to get a perfect one either), especially since you have a few slots to copy skills and abilities from your other palicoes. Just look up which skills can appear together so you don't waste a bunch of time looking for a combination that isn't possible
I sometimes wonder if they had made the boomerang attacks have an aim function in base Gen and had a reliable somewhat traditional way to heal would this have made Prowler more popular and more positively received?
It would have made it broken haha.
@@DevilJhoMama eh, not really, Prowlers are very weak compared to hunters, their clear times are quite bad, so making them able to heal traditionally would just increase their survivability (which btw is already quite high, increasing it even further wouldn't make too much of a difference) and nothing else really.
@@aaajeear8654 their clear times are bad without proper setup. You can get crazy good DPS out of a well played prowler with the right innate skills.
To some, like my friend that plays prowler pretty exclusively, it's essentially just a 15th weapon option
@@Jaknife101 nah, endgame setup Prowler's DPS can be good but it doesn't get even close to the DPS of the better weapons, i love 'em, but they just ain't that great at killing stuff quickly.
This video is a testament to the reasons why Prowler mode needs to come back as the 15th weapon

I was planning to main hunting horn after I started over on a new save, but I played Prowler for the level unlock quests and got addicted to them again. I have a prowler ready for every type of monster (I main bomb cat for EX Deviants)
In the everlasting chase of the power of Ted, the Hunter brought his partner to turn himself into a Feline...funniest shit I've ever seen! But even in this form he wasn't able to grow the strength to overcome the almighty Ted.
