This ending is so painful for Daniel, he looks badass but he’s hurting. He’s by himself in a new country and I guarantee the only thing getting him by around there was his power. He only has a 4th grade education so of course he’s going to steal for some money. And since he’s all alone the lot of land their dad got for them goes to waste cause Daniel doesn’t know how to properly use it. The unbuilt house represents his life.
Do you think the tear drop tattoo is to represent Sean’s death rather than anyone else’s? To symbolise that he’s responsible for his death? He spares the lives of the 3 men at the end, maybe he never killed again after the border events
Me too, it's definitely Sean's death. Daniel technically may have killed a few others (depending on your options), so it wouldn't make sense for him to just get one teardrop tattoo if he were counting all of the lives. And if you watch the Blood Brothers ending, it looks like they have both joined a gang, and Daniel has no tattoo to account for the death of another character because Sean is still alive.
I think he's killed before in order to survive there. But I'm guessing that this scene was Sean's birthday or the day he died, so maybe he's not willing to kill as easily on that day

In the Parting Ways ending, he’s much more attentive to his brother and is careful to get across safely, with more regard to the lives of others than his own as he jumps out of the car.
I think the explanation for that is that with high brotherhood, he sees it as an insult to surrender, because to him, it dishonors their bond, so he cares less about Sean in the moment than plowing through the blockade in anger. Like “we were supposed to do this as brothers and right now, you’re not acting like my brother”.

This is by far the worst ending. Sean would not have gone through all that for his brother just to give up when they were so close. I'm so glad I got the blood brothers ending. Even if they're not the happiest, they made it to their destination and never gave up eachother no matter what. Best game ever.
I think they were happy in the Blood Brothers ending. They were financially secure, they were free, and they were together. We just happened to see them moments after that gang tried to rob/kill them, so of course right after that they weren't going to be jumping around and partying. But look at what they did afterwards in the BB ending- they got some beers and went to sit on the beach, which indicates that it's something they enjoy doing regularly. It's *their* part of the beach in front of *their* shop drinking beer they bought with *their* own money they earned. That's pretty happy.
@@HarpsiFizz they became criminals in mexico and joined gangs, defeating the purpose of going to mexico in the first place (to get away from their mistakes and start a new life). daniel looks like he regrets everything when he sees sean use the dad's lighter, like he knew esteban wouldnt want that for them. yes they were financially secure, but none of that money was clean. it was stolen money. in the first ep, sean said running a car repair business was not his thing, so he wasn't happy either. daniel had to learn to protect himself from gangs and people trying to kill them from the age of 10. they dont have a real passport or any family. they will die and no one will remember them. sean and daniel will never finish education or meet family again. it's depressing. daniel was always reluctant to go to mexico because he always felt lile he belongs more in the US. he hated that he didnt even know spanish and knew he wouldnt make friends like chris there. think about what lyla and chris thought too. it's so sad.
Areebah so sad and yet it’s still the best ending by far. The other endings result in either Sean dying or going to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. So many people overlook how easily traumatic jailtime can be, it would be soul destroying. At the end of the day, life really IS strange huh
i think 4:17 is the exact moment sean gets shot. the seconds before that are the last we see of his face before the end, and at 4-17 you can see him desperately start to reach for his throat. jesus
5:45 Based on the subs, it says "Massacre on the US border." So Daniel probably went out of the car and slaughtered all the law enforcers for killing Sean out of anger and grief.
Possibly, but not necessarily. The way newspapers tend to report things (both irl and in game) simply what Daniel did as they crossed the border could have easily been described as a massacre by the press....after all, he did literally throw 2 tonne cop cars around like they were made of cardboard. The physical force used by Daniels powers could have warranted that description without any major loss of life; I choose to believe or at least hope that he didnt kill anyone delibrately after Sean's death, as it goes against most of what he was taught throughout the story.
I know it’s the saddest ending, but in a way it’s somewhat fitting? like Daniel disobeyed Sean multiple times and they all had consequences (ex. hanging out w/ Chris alerted the police, going with Finn to do the heist made Sean lose his eye) and this time he disobeyed him it cost him his life. It’s sad yet so interesting. in my opinion this ending makes much more sense than the parting ways ending also damn adult Daniel is so hot
@UCsckb03k-UdQyOHbSJryt3g bro he said it makes sense because of foreshadowing and themes not saying it’s a good ending and bro really said “never play a choice based game again” as if someone on the internet can control what games they play 🤡🤡 “suck pencil” the hell does that mean lmao bro speaking in middle school I can’t curse during lunch language 🤓🤓
Since Daniel disobeys Esteban or Sean that's kind of how the whole story started because if Daniel didn't go to the front yard pouring blood on the racist kid, then Daniel be celebrating Halloween or something and Sean partying as be drinking, eating and smoking and most importantly getting LAID.
Daniel needs to have high morality in order for him to accept when you choose to surrender. That means, make sure you set a good example. Don’t condone theft, hurting or killing people. You get this ending if Daniel has been taught to always put himself and his family before anything else.
Me too sis, but you can't think in daniel security when you educ him to use the powers for him and Sean selves, he will be independent and will use your powers more frequently
Lili Kaji I feel you. I also got the ending and felt like I didn’t choose that many bad choices, but apperently letting him kill the cougar, participating in the heist and stealing set too much of a bad example for him. It just bugs me that I couldn’t change him after that anymore. I didn’t want him to kill the cult leader or to hurt the scorpion, but he did it anyway
I hate that people think of this as a bad ending. Yes, Daniel did become a criminal, but at the same time he’s just living how he knows at this point. Due to the circumstances he’s gone through he’s forced to become a badass, as corny as that sounds. When Sean and Daniel we’re crossing the border, I immediately thought back to when Daniel’s father was killed and Daniel decided to murk everyone in a flurry of rage. I honestly believe that was foreshadowing this ending, what was supposed to happen. Daniel’s father was sacrificed in order to help sean grow, and Sean was sacrificed in order to help Daniel grow. As you can see, nothing can really get to Daniel anymore, physically, mentally, or emotionally, and he seems to have come to terms with losing all of his family, even though he may not show it, though he does smile at the memorial he built for Sean. Lastly, Daniel isn’t even completely evil in this ending, but rather chaotic neutral.
RanStuff id like to disagree, Daniel had clearly reached some form of acceptance for his situation, because when he was by the alter he built, you can clearly see him smirking, as if he’s not devestated which is what everyone thinks he is.
Mark Devries I bet you’re one of the people that think sean dying on the inside from prison for over a decade was a better alternative though, right? You do realize that Sean’s more than likely depressed in that ending, and from the looks of it, wouldn’t be surprised if he killed himself.
This ending is fitting. In his own messed up way, Sean was willing to sacrifice everything for his brother. It almost only seems fitting that in the end he sacrifices his own life. And Daniel becomes better over it-- he's clearly tough and no one can hurt him anymore... physically or emotionally. You did well, Sean. Your death was not in vain.
JP S If the whole game is about family and the many forms it can take, ending the story with Daniel having lost any sense of family and being completely alone is tragic. It doesn't make the ending "bad," certainly not poorly written, but it's not as you describe it...
@@jsf120 Family is a theme that is present, but I almost feel like the theme of survival is stronger. The brothers do what it takes to survive in a seemingly racist world. And unfortunately, in such a harsh world, everyone doesn't survive. Even their makeshift family on the pot-farm is comprised of survivors. The Diaz name overall survives through Daniel. So the Latino name continues despite the world's bigotry... though admittedly not in America, as Daniel ultimately escapes to Mexico. Family is important but the narrative seems to highlight the fact that it's a Latino family more. Race and survival were the central themes for me. But you're right, like the LIS strange games before this one, the loss of a family member, specifically the father is certainly present. And yes, the vagabonds at the pot-farm act as a found family, and even the cult is a substitute family for Daniel. Maybe we get that family doesn't last forever, but the lessons we learn from our family can endure for a very long time.
This is obviously the bad ending of the game lmao he has no one to guide him and while sean was alive taught him to use his power for whatever and didnt stop him from killing things. And did crimes in front of him so now he has no one to tell.him right from wrong so he grows up a scared child in a mans body
@@mak0893 I don't think right and wrong is that obvious. If Daniel is blessed with a supernatural power, then who is to say he has to follow the rules of morality that the rest of us follow? Even at the church, they deified him and made him an angel. He could be a god among men, and if that's the case the worst thing to do would be to have him hide his powers-- hide who he really is. In a series known for LGBT issues, hiding who you are can't possibly be the best option. None of the LGBT characters are in the closet, and Daniel shouldn't be in the closet either. If society can't accept Daniel for who he is, powers and all, then he has the right to fight back. No one would ever take a look at the intensity and determination in older Daniel's eyes and call him lost. He knew exactly what he was doing.
I thought so too ^^, although honestly for a moment there I was quite sure he was gonna make the guy shoot himself, I couldn't watch the scene with my eyes fully open and was so tempted to avert my gaze eeek. Glad he didn't kill them in the end, maybe there is still hope for his heart like you said..
I was just thinking about this ending and something came up that made it sadder for me the fact that Daniel will probably never go back to the U.S cuz he can’t is sad but he will most likely never get to see his father’s grave or Sean’s grave and will live the rest of his life alone
yeah like the fact hes grown so much to point that he can now put his focus into doing several things at once with his power is really cool. he keeps sean's door locked, puts pressure on the gas pedal, raises a shield, AND blows the cars and cops all away?? its not like hes doing 1 continuous thing like how in episode 1 he was able to lift everything in their motel room. doing everything he is in this ending requires a lot of focus and multitasking, itd be amazing if only the result wasnt so heartbreaking
Low Morality / Surrender is honestly the weirdest combo of the four. Props to Dontnod for setting this up to be the worst ending cause how are you gonna be a savage the entire game just to wuss out at the end 😂
idek why i chose surrender honestly. i think i chose it because i didnt believe daniel could actually save both of us. literally 10 minutes later i replayed that scene and got the ending with both of them alive LOL
Personaly i find Sadder Redemption Heroes die young and dramatic, Sean will be his big bro forever. Not the case in redemption, Sean’s soul was destroyed, Dan was more or less the same, I feel he tried to rebond with Sean in that trip, but he failed, “his Sean” was not there anymore.
nah daniel still had his spark but sean's soul was gone from ptsd to just hopelessness. in the end, daniel cried/felt overwhelmed in his car because he knew that sean ruined his life for him, and he knew he felt guilt in that and couldnt ever repay those years that sean went through to save his brother. no matter how much we tried to be good brothers, it was either his life ruined or ours. or both. it was their fate to be a sad story on the news, which makes me so saf
@@af2954 Damn so much ruthless truth spoken I can't even take it all in rn... but very glad I read you, finally cleared things for me once and for all regarding the Redemption ending.
I'm trying to make my first edit ever of Daniel and Sean and I'm using the lone wolf ending as it fit perfectly with the song ghost of you but its so hard for me I have to rewatch this scene I just hate seeing Daniel turn into a sad and angry kid
I hope you get your edit done soon, and i wish you the best of luck in doing so. Also, Daniel isn't completely evil in this ending. You gotta give him credit for sparing those thugs, especially after everything he went through
Damnit, I refuse to believe that Sean wouldn't get down once he saw that there was no stopping Daniel. This is a fake ending. What really happened was that Sean would have gotten down once the shooting started, and then after they crossed the boarder, he'd yell at Daniel for a little bit and they'd argue, but after a while they'd keep driving and they'd get out of the car and hug, Daniel would ask if Sean was mad at him, Sean would say no, Daniel saved them both, and they'd have their life in Mexico. That's the truth and the devs know it. They showed us Sean's character for 5 seasons and that is exactly what he'd do.
Omg I so agree that could have definitely been something that could have happened considering their characters but I think shock overtook him in those moments... that's why he couldn't move, couldn't get down.. damn I so wish he had T-T.
I tried to do my best but I got this ending and found out it's the saddest. Pretty depressing, man. Anyone else? Edit: after thinking, it makes sense. I had trusted Daniel's powers so much and wanted to keep everything stopping us out of our way. The cops started all this by shooting our father and I wanted us to prevail. If anyone deeply hurt Daniel, like the cougar, they had to be punished. When it all came down to it, Daniel felt the same way I did about him. I surrendered thinking I couldn't handle losing him, but he refused to surrender because he couldn't handle losing me either. After all, I said "if we surrender, they will separate us Daniel, but let's surrender!"

So bassically Daniel transforms into 90's Anthony Kiedis. Jokes aside this ending is great but i would like if Daniel made the dude shoot himself in the end, in contrast to how he and Sean spare him at the other ending where sean survives. It would really symbolize that daniel was greatly changed for the worse with his brother's death.
He was already tired and you saw how long took them, they had cops behind them when they stopped so they were on their trail as well, and would have been caught outside with no car
Is it just me or does the tattoo on Daniel's chest look a lot like Sean did in the first episode, he is also wearing Mushrooms bandana on his arm and the bracelet Sean had on.
Well, if they make a life is strange 3 They will have to choose an ending to be canon. And to be honest, Blood brothers or lone wolf are the only ones that could make another plot line happen. In my opinion, I think lone wolf is the one that’s most likely going to happen. There is so much they can do with Daniel with him being tragic. These are my thoughts on the 3rd game.(if they ever decide to make one)
If they make a Life is Strange 3, it will be in an entirely different setting with a brand new cast of characters. We didn't see Max or Chloe in Life is Strange 2, so why would we see Sean or Daniel in Life is Strange 3?
Amber Lachance Well I guess if they do go with an entirely different cast of characters, then I guess the normal endings where Sean gets arrested actually works.i just thought it’d be cool to see grown up Daniel with super powers
one thing I believe about this ending that no one can change my mind about is that daniel goes back and finishes them all off, killing every single one of them
Endings from best to worst: 1: Sean escapes to Mexico and finds Cassidy and Finn. He’ll have a happy life with his best friend Finn... and who knows, maybe one day he might end up marrying Cassidy. While Daniel has a normal life with his grandparents, and hopefully will come to meet Max Caulfield someday... 2: Blood brothers. Sean and Daniel live in Mexico together. Maybe they might meet Cassidy and Finn again... maybe. 3: Sean goes to prison and loses half his life while Daniel has a normal one... 4: Lone wolf. Sean dies, no one except Daniel remembers him. And Daniel wastes his life as a criminal. He’ll never find love, not happiness. He’ll be a man with an incredible gift... a superpower. But he’ll have wasted it. Because he couldn’t cooperate with the way society works.
MaineStream You have to spend the whole game teaching Daniel the good way to use his powers. Then at they end, choose to cross the border. Daniel will jump out and stay in America, while Sean leaves with Cass and Finn.

Same
Except that Daniel wasn't really fond of the idea to go to Mexico, he only was when you confirmed got the Lone Wolf or Blood Brothers ending
i think 4:17 is the exact moment sean gets shot. the seconds before that are the last we see of his face before the end, and at 4-17 you can see him desperately start to reach for his throat. jesus
Fr
Poor Daniel, he wanted to "take care" of his brother :(
5:45 Based on the subs, it says "Massacre on the US border."
So Daniel probably went out of the car and slaughtered all the law enforcers for killing Sean out of anger and grief.
No, he killed them already by moving them out of the way.
Well by massacre they mean the powers killing all the policemen there
fun fact dyed blond hair in some cultures is considered a sign of rebellion or a trouble maker in men.
at this point all I want is to see what Daniel's tattoos look like
I know it’s the saddest ending, but in a way it’s somewhat fitting? like Daniel disobeyed Sean multiple times and they all had consequences (ex. hanging out w/ Chris alerted the police, going with Finn to do the heist made Sean lose his eye) and this time he disobeyed him it cost him his life. It’s sad yet so interesting. in my opinion this ending makes much more sense than the parting ways ending
also damn adult Daniel is so hot
Ok bro you really just try to justified this ending? U know what. Never played a choice base game ever again. U suck pencil for a living
Daniel is actually 16 lol
@UCsckb03k-UdQyOHbSJryt3g bro he said it makes sense because of foreshadowing and themes not saying it’s a good ending and bro really said “never play a choice based game again” as if someone on the internet can control what games they play 🤡🤡 “suck pencil” the hell does that mean lmao bro speaking in middle school I can’t curse during lunch language 🤓🤓

Since Daniel disobeys Esteban or Sean that's kind of how the whole story started because if Daniel didn't go to the front yard pouring blood on the racist kid, then Daniel be celebrating Halloween or something and Sean partying as be drinking, eating and smoking and most importantly getting LAID.
when Daniel draws the big Wolf and put on Sean coffin it was very Saddddddd.....

*MEXICAN JOKER ENDING*
*Blood Brothers*
Idk why i got this ending ! I made sure i was a good big bro during all the game 😭😭
Lili Kaji being nice to daniel doesn’t affect the outcome, unfortunately :’(
Daniel needs to have high morality in order for him to accept when you choose to surrender.
@@ceciliejensen7506 i let him kill the puma but despise this i made sure to make the nicest choices :(
Lili Kaji I feel you.
Yeah, had to call it saddest ending rather than worst... agree with what u said! Don't think there was a perfectly good ending either!
RanStuff id like to disagree, Daniel had clearly reached some form of acceptance for his situation, because when he was by the alter he built, you can clearly see him smirking, as if he’s not devestated which is what everyone thinks he is.
RanStuff I never said he was the happiest in this ending, I’m just saying it’s not as bad as people like to think.
Sorry, but a 10 year old mass murderer that is responsible for the death of his brother trying to protect him is about as bad as it gets.
Mark Devries I bet you’re one of the people that think sean dying on the inside from prison for over a decade was a better alternative though, right? You do realize that Sean’s more than likely depressed in that ending, and from the looks of it, wouldn’t be surprised if he killed himself.
I know this ending is the "bad" ending, but I still like it the most.
More like "badass" ending
Same
This ending is fitting.
What sacrifice did Sean make? He was completely opposed to Daniel’s actions throughout that entire scene. Did we watch the same video?
All the feels ...
i played the game without knowing and went w what i wanted to choose, and i got lone wolf. very sad ending. 🤕🥺
He...…he didn't make that guy shoot himself! That means .. there is still hope right???💔

Hate to break it to you but he probably didn't want to kill people in front of his brother grave
@@TheAzuregreen ...That's Alot Of Respect.
As known as the depression ending 😢
I was just thinking about this ending and something came up that made it sadder for me the fact that Daniel will probably never go back to the U.S cuz he can’t is sad but he will most likely never get to see his father’s grave or Sean’s grave and will live the rest of his life alone
Can we just talk about Daniels voice actor? He's fuckin incredible
Don't get me wrong this is a sad ending but are we just not going to talk about how badass Daniel is like I know this ending sad but still
Blood Brothers is the one you’re talking about, this ending is just plain terrible in my opinion
yeah like the fact hes grown so much to point that he can now put his focus into doing several things at once with his power is really cool. he keeps sean's door locked, puts pressure on the gas pedal, raises a shield, AND blows the cars and cops all away?? its not like hes doing 1 continuous thing like how in episode 1 he was able to lift everything in their motel room. doing everything he is in this ending requires a lot of focus and multitasking, itd be amazing if only the result wasnt so heartbreaking
@@jluck1399 I mean, their opinion works too. For both BB and LW you have to end up with the badass Daniel anyway

You gotta give him credit for sparing those thugs, especially after everything he went through
Such a cute little fanmade ending to Life is Strangs 2! 🔥🧡 Much love! They really slayed that
Damnit, I refuse to believe that Sean wouldn't get down once he saw that there was no stopping Daniel. They showed us Sean's character for 5 seasons and that is exactly what he'd do.
he was in shock? he wouldnt just accept daniel refusing his big decision
Omg I so agree that could have definitely been something that could have happened considering their characters but I think shock overtook him in those moments... that's why he couldn't move, couldn't get down.. damn I so wish he had T-T.
Sean : i'm in mi mom's car vroom vroom
Agent : Sean, _getoutofzecar_
Daniel : *yeet the police*
Yes,that sucks.
i was trying to be the best brother i could, and i surrendered cause i didnt trust daniels power, im so sad i did man, this ending hurt the most.

So bassically Daniel transforms into 90's Anthony Kiedis.
Jokes aside this ending is great but i would like if Daniel made the dude shoot himself in the end, in contrast to how he and Sean spare him at the other ending where sean survives. It would really symbolize that daniel was greatly changed for the worse with his brother's death.
nah, he didnt shoot the dude because he THOUGHT of sean. last time he was told violence wasn’t the answer, it cost him his brother
the saddest but at the same the most interesting ending imo there is a lot of potential for some side story for this
This is sad I'm happy to be early
why couldn’t they just find another spot in the wall and have daniel blow it up again rather than going thru an obviously guarded entrance???

No, the cop shot his father
And you're the asswipe neighbour that survived.
Well, if they make a life is strange 3
They will have to choose an ending to be canon.
Blue Slushie I don’t think lis3 will be about them because lis2 wasn’t about max and Chloe
pretzel uwu if it is
I think it will be like lis 2
You choose which ending you got last (2)
If they make a Life is Strange 3, it will be in an entirely different setting with a brand new cast of characters. We didn't see Max or Chloe in Life is Strange 2, so why would we see Sean or Daniel in Life is Strange 3?
I thought the same. I can even see them choosing the Blood Brothers ending as canon, only to rip Sean away from us in LiS 3.
Amber Lachance Well I guess if they do go with an entirely different cast of characters, then I guess the normal endings where Sean gets arrested actually works.i just thought it’d be cool to see grown up Daniel with super powers
Now Daniel become lone wolf and he like nagato from naruto anime now
one thing I believe about this ending that no one can change my mind about is that daniel goes back and finishes them all off, killing every single one of them
I REALLY wish they made a Life is Strange game where you can play as Daniel
Endings from best to worst:
1: Sean escapes to Mexico and finds Cassidy and Finn.
