"Leeches"Moving to the wetlands, gonna farm a lot of leeches, moving to the wetlands gonna farm me a lot of leeches ~ Millions of leaches suck blood from me, millions of leeches, suck blood for free. PASSOUT!
I went to see The Presidents waaay back in the 90's. They were jamming through their set and got to Lump. They rocked it of course, but ended with Al's line from Gump. Then the spotlights swooped around into the general admission audience and there was Al jumping around with the rest of us! It was glorious and the only time I've ever pushed through a crowd to meet a celebrity.
When we saw him last month he did Albuquerque and went off for 15 minutes naming all the different types of donuts and then started the song all over again. It was the best moment of my life.
This was SO awesome to see in person. We had no idea what was going on and watching it again it’s like, “Oh my god. They DID THAT!” It was probably the best concert I’ve ever been to. Thank you so much for an amazing show!
My dad loved weird al. He passed away about 11 years ago but I still remember me and him being in the car in the 90's when I was little and singing all of the songs. Stay weird, Al.
Presidents of the United States, was my first and last concert with my mom before cancer took her.. Weird AL was the next for us to see.. this makes my heart So Happy! BLESS YOU ALL!
I absolutely lost my mind and even cried when this happened last night, Al. Thank you for everything. You're a huge inspiration to me as a musician...well...drummer. But I like to write lyrics too so I like to think that kind of counts in some way.
Just saw Weird Al in Grand Junction last night and his encore blew my mind. It was 10 minutes of something along the lines of a Maori Haka on crack. The band did it with him in perfect unison and it ended with a mantage of Nirvana, Amish paradise , word crimes. I can't express how grateful i am to be alive at the same time as Weird Al. The fact that he visited Grand Junction Colorado is huge. He could have easily sold out 2 nights in Denver, but instead visits Grand Junction and Greeley Colorado. Who does that?
Saw you 12 years ago in flagstaff AZ! I've been listening to you since I was a young child when my dad introduced me to your music and I've always loved it! You still sound as amazing as ever! Thank you Al
Knowing how great a musician Al is, seeing him genuinely appreciate the simplest chords with such enthusiasm is a testament to his wonderful character. I'm counting the days until the Weird Al movie, and the inevitable global realization of this magical entertainer and hopefully his backing band, who themselves deserve recognition for their contributions to the some times all too serious music industry. I'd rather stick my nostrils together with crazy glue, Than spend one more minute with you.
When Weird Al ended the song gump with "And that's all I have to say about that", Chris Ballew said that was a better ending for Lump than his own ending and incorporated that exact line in his song during live performances.
Oh darn! How did I miss this? … I didn’t know Weird Al was in town. Heavy sigh! I saw him perform with Dr. Demento at the Paramount Theater/ Seattle back in 1984. We had orchestra pit seats. Such a thrill! I’ll be seeing Little Feat at the Moore Theater here in the Emerald City this August however. Can’t wait.
@@poppavein1 They are still kicking around! I was at that Bumbershoot Show. One of my favorite post Lowell local shows was when they were headliners at the Fourth of Jul-Ivar’s celebration at Myrtle Edwards park in 2001. Good times
Little Feat, wow…saw them in…1992 maybe with George Thorogood at Fiddler’s Green outside of Denver. Great show but I hate Fiddler’s Green because they cut the sound and raise the lights at 10pm on the dot due to being in a yupscale neighborhood. Of course Little Feat went last so they were cut off in the middle of an encore.
Saw Al play in Bend Or on the 25th of the june, was the first Al concert ive ever been to and the first concert in about 15 years. Great show, Great Night, Thanks for doing what you do Al, You and you band have helped keep my spirit up over the years.
I hope Al keeps rockin’ for many years. I was that “brave” kid in high school wearing a Dare to be Stupid shirt. Saw Al in Pueblo at the State Fair, Running with Scissors tour, then again for Poodle Hat at the Pepsi Center. An amazing performer.
Well that was very entertaining. 2 of my favorites on 1 stage. I've got just as many Weird Al Yankovic CDs as I've got of The Presidents of the United States of America's CDs. Thanks for the awesome video!
My brother gave me “even worse” and “dare to be stupid” when I was about 13, I thought you were so cute on the cover of “even worse” back then. later I got some cds of dr. demento, and saw you in concert once, I’ll never forget you running around the audience waving a giant pair of granny panties over your head. This is one of my fav songs from P.O.T.USA. It was so cool to see this! Thanks for sharing! 😁👍❤️
I have waited my entire life for this moment. I would like to thank everyone involved in making this happen. So thank you all from the bottom of my heart
Your concert with emo was amazing last night I had alot of fun and bought some merch also thanks for giving us a little extra at the end. June 5th Calgary
Thanks for sharing this! I got a chance to meet Chris Ballew at a Casper Baby Pants show we took our toddler daughter to (Yes, tot rock is a thing). It was nice to be able to tell him thanks for making music we enjoy!
Amazing show last night (he played Velvet Elvis, Midnight Star AND Nature Trail to Hell!!!) and this cover was a great and pleasant surprise. Weird Al is incredible, and Chris Ballew is a local treasure. Incidentally, about 13 years ago, I had the opportunity to go to Chris' house in West Seattle as part of a film crew. He was very gracious and inviting, and really easy to talk to. And he gave us all a Caspar Babypants album!
Oh yeah. The first album I ever bought was In 3D. Nature Trail To Hell was soooo great to see live. What a great show. I don’t think there was a person there who didn’t have a great time.
I saw him at Hersheypark during his Running With Scissors tour. He was scheduled to do two shows that day, but the crowd was so big, he added a third show at the last minute.
Happy to say I was there at this show. Wow! That was an amazing performance from start to finish. Al and band are some of the most top drawer musicians that you could see. Aside from just the sheer awesomeness of watching Weird Al and band play all these originals, they are one of the most professional live bands out there since the Zappa band was playing shows. I also really like Al’s MIDI accordion. Playing synth lines with an accordion is friggin great. My nerdheart sang. I’ll definitely go to another one of these tours if they have them, and tbh really would love to see some new Weird Al material. What a show! If it wasn’t sold out, it was close. I could only see one single empty seat anywhere around me. I wasn’t alone in my enjoyment either. Whole sections were loudly singing along with every word, and they got multiple standing ovations.
YESSSS OMFG THIS RULES! Woke up, saw this, proceeded to jump around in my pajamas hooting and hollering. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS PERFORMANCE!!! You guys rock 🪨❤️
If you ever want an example of what it is to be authentic, look no further. What a poetic twist that someone popularly known for parodies is one of the most original living musical artists. How many many people he has empowered to be themselves. Just awesome
This was the first song I ever referred to as 'my favorite song', first song I knew the lyrics to (albeit just the chorus, I was very young).. Being performed by the first artist I ever referred to as 'my favorite musician'.... What an awesome combination of musicians to have on stage at once, I am so so so jealous of anyone who got to see this live...
I was a dj when this song came out. And to my knowledge I was the first person to play it on the radio at least anywhere in my vicinity. Hearing the two collaborate doing this song had never occurred to me. Now I realize that this performance is the duet that I needed in my life right now. I hear this and I think to myself, everything is going to be ok.
"Peaches" does sound like it should be the Weird Al parody version of a more serious song and I love it for being original.
"Leeches"Moving to the wetlands, gonna farm a lot of leeches, moving to the wetlands gonna farm me a lot of leeches ~ Millions of leaches suck blood from me, millions of leeches, suck blood for free. PASSOUT!
A lot of PUSA's songs are like that. Also check out Caspar Babypants, which is the project Ballew launched after PUSA disbanded.
He could parody it and call it "Leeches"
Lol yes!
Camping in the country,
Gonna meet a lot of leeches...
Millions of leeches,
Leeches on me...
I went to see The Presidents waaay back in the 90's. They were jamming through their set and got to Lump. They rocked it of course, but ended with Al's line from Gump. TBH, I forgot all about Gump 'till I read your comment.
WHAAAAA???? 🤯🥰🤯🥰🤯
How many people know AL produced that Presidents album??
They always put on a kick ass show!!
No question, Weird Al is the coolest person on earth. Period.
"He who has tired of Weird Al has tired of life" -Homer Simpson
I have a birth mark that looks a lot like Al....
When I let "That" hair grow out
... Exclamation Point! !
I have to call this out, sorry - Chris Ballew is the coolest person on earth. Weird Al is a close second.
I would agree but Chris Ballew is also on this video, hard to say whos the coolest
When we saw him last month he did Albuquerque and went off for 15 minutes naming all the different types of donuts and then started the song all over again. It was the best moment of my life.
Do you have any... Halle Berry?
@@janus14cp NO!
Yes! He did that in Boise, and it was one of my favorite parts of the show.
YES he did this in Huntington! That concert was so amazing
do you have any... Barberry donuts?
My dumbass thought this was Yankovic singing Jack Black's Bowser song "Peaches".
Likewise.
This is the most 90s thing ever.
Also, the song is already a bit silly, so can’t really be parodied.
Though Al parodied Lump
But it was though lol
So is "Lump" but he managed to do "Gump".
So a parody called "Leeches" wouldn't have worked?
@@jimkid1392 bro that totally would have worked 😂

Presidents of the United States, was my first and last concert with my mom before cancer took her.. Weird AL was the next for us to see.. this makes my heart So Happy!
BLESS YOU ALL!
Weird Al's band are some of the most understated musicians today. They can play anything!
These musicians have stuck with Al for over 40 years. That says a lot about what kind of person Al is.
Even his touring crew is the same.
Very few musicians are trans-generational. Weird Al is one of the very, very, very few.
Jim West also does his own guitar work on the side 😊
There was a concert at the Star Plaza I've seen him there numerous times I don't remember which one, Jim just started playing "Purple Haze"
I like that Weird Al can sing just any old song and we love it so much.
How is it humanly possible for one person to contain this much awesome?
I guess that mean that you'll never know what to expect at a "Weird Al" concert.
was anyone else expecting the Mario song?
I forgot the Mario song existed
Nope
Yea
No
Yeah lol
THE MAN. THE MYTH. THE LEGEND!!
The only way I could be more excited about this is if I saw it live. This makes me so happy. I want to share this with all of me nonexistent friends!
I absolutely lost my mind and even cried when this happened last night, Al.
Thank you for everything. You're a huge inspiration to me as a musician...well...drummer. But I like to write lyrics too so I like to think that kind of counts in some way.
Amazing show
I'd honestly like to hear an album where Weird Al just covers songs like this. I think it'd be great
From your lips to Al's ear, I hope
"The Sincerity Album" - just covers of songs that Weird Al has loved over the years. Would be awesome...
Here's all the covers from the Vanity Tour. Go to the description for a download link:

I'd just like to see another album with some new stuff on it. Here's a great title: Strings Attached.
@@johnnypolo1983 Yeah right, like i'm gonna click on that.
My husband is a volunteer firefighter and most members are given nicknames by the older members. His is Peaches. Love the song!
Haha...that sounds like a fun practice. Not if derogatory of course...
I like how Chris Ballew was going to stand on the stool, got one foot on it, and went 'Nope, that swivels, bad idea.'
yeah, I saw that! Lol! I bet he's thinking, "maybe if I was 20 years younger"
Just saw Weird Al in Grand Junction last night and his encore blew my mind. It was 10 minutes of something along the lines of a Maori Haka on crack. Sounds like he did the "Yoda Chant" What's crazy is it changes from tour to tour, but they always do it in unison and with a medley of songs
The Yoda Chant?? It’s brilliant.
When we needed him most he returned.
He never truly left. He has always been in our hearts, watching, waiting.
Peaches is a fantastic song! Love the Presidents. Great job Al! 💖
I just subscribed! I love “Weird Al” Yankovic! I just saw him in concert today! 🤩
This is the stuff in music than transcends all, you can't put this into words....I dunno why it makes me cry but it does!
Another reminder that weird Al is immortal.
hey weird al we went to your concert about a week ago it was amazing and we got one of your tour shirts keep up the amazing singing!
I have listened to this lyrical wordsmith since i was but a tween.
and still he sounds great and hasn't lost that fire of his youth.
Saw you 12 years ago in flagstaff AZ! I've been listening to you since I was a young child when my dad introduced me to your music and I've always loved it! You still sound as amazing as ever! Thank you Al
I can’t wait to go to his concert!! 😝

I still have copies of the first 3 albums on vinyl, original release. They sound great!
ok, who wrote it?
@@concken1 Um, Chris Ballew.
Breaking news : after several centuries weird al started to age and he still looks great
But Chris is still holding off from dipping his toes into the aging pool. Somehow that guy looks just as he did in the 90s.
