  • You can do it yourself! I followed the advise of another UA-camr, ‪@oldschoolautoupholstery‬. I used acetone to clean and promote adhesion on the parts, then sprayed the SEM Color Coat in several light coats to achieve awesome results. I painted the vinyl dash pad and the vinyl coated steel seat panels.
Thanks again to ‪@oldschoolautoupholstery‬ for the great tips! Here's a link to his video.

It was painfully easy and the results were great!

Great video tutorial. The music is a bit loud compared to your voice. On my '65 Barracuda, I deleted the dash pad and welded up the holes. It looks so much cleaner. I'm not looking to keep it completely original. When I bought it, it had a 318 V8 instead of a 273.

Thanks for letting me know about the volume, I’ll pay better attention to that in the future. The earlier Valiants didn’t have the dash pads, so they did look much cleaner. As with most mandated safety improvements, they’re designed as an afterthought.

Great video Roger,,, I'm looking for the decorative piece that goes in front of the glove box and the end piece that follows to the right at the end,, do you have spare ones?

I can’t find the spare part for the glove box, I need to empty my shelves and reorganize all my parts. There’s so many now.
