  • This video includes two full days of eating! I'm going to be documenting my relationship with food on this channel a little bit this year, as I learn to intuitively eat and stop counting calories.
    Now, I've decided this is the time to start intuitive eating, listen to my mind & body about what feels good.

    I’ve just discovered your channel and oh my gosh, this is SO refreshing and positive to see ❤ I’m in recovery from anorexia, and videos like these make a world of difference. Can I ask (if it’s not too personal!) - has your mindset changed from you “I cut sugar out” video? I was a bit confused, as you seemed less intuitive / more moralising in your approach to food as good and bad in that video (zero judgement either way - whatever works for you!) versus this one, so I was just wondering where your head is at now. Anyway, thank you for being such a ray of sunshine in what can feel like a very overwhelming, restriction-focused world!

      Hey Emily!! Thank you! I did 3 days of no sugar just because my stomach was so bloated and I was in pain from it 🤣 the only thing I’ve changed since that video is I have real sugar instead of sweeteners because I think they bloat me! I hope your recovery is going well ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 focus on yourself & wishing you all the best 😘😘😘 xx

      @@darcieratcliff thank you so much for replying!! It means a lot. Do you find that you’re now a lot less black and white around food since eating intuitively / no longer see sugar as “addictive” or “bad” in the context of an overall balanced relationship with food? And have you found any improvement mentally/ohysically since stopping calorie counting…? I’m so scared to stop myself!! Xx

      @@EmilySaysRed Yes 100%! To be honest, even when I counted calories over the last couple of years I didn't see food as good or bad! I understand that you may be struggling with this though. I think every person is different when it comes to recovery and the most important thing is knowing it will get better (it just takes time)! Have you got anyone helping you? xx

      @@darcieratcliff I do, don’t worry! ❤️ Thank you for checking though. I totally understand it’s different for everyone! I suppose I was just curious, as your sugar video was very body/diet focused in the sense you spoke about “I eat so badly, sugar is so addictive, I need more self-control etc” - which seems to be at odds with the intuitive outlook in this vlog! Again, this isn’t a criticism in the slightest; I think I’m just trying to make sure I curate a positive online space for my own mental health (this video certainly falls into that category!) 🫶🏼

      @@EmilySaysRed You make a very good point! I feel like with how much different perspectives online, it can definitely influence me time to time! But for now I'm loving intuitive eating, and it's my goal this year to work on this. Couldn't agree more, I always unfollow people if they're negatively impacting my mental health (without them meaning to) and would want others to do the same if they were ever triggered by me! xxx
