Gus fring is probably the best character in BB. His acting is flawless and the way he changes his facial expressions in such a subtle way is simply mind blowing!!!
His motivations felt like a massive tantrum tho. When I found out about max I was like…sooo just shoot hector in the face, but this man starts an empire, works alongside the cartel for years on end and thins out the entire Salamanca family tree (not that that family tree didn’t need trimming 😂) But at the start of it all, it was their choice to approach the cartel in the first place AND did something they knew could be perceived as disrespectful towards the cartel heads. In the end he’s just a very passive aggressive, very vengeful, psychotic prick who ruined lives of people not even involved in his vendetta like Nacho and his dad. The acting was great, just didn’t like the character in the end, not a lot of people share that opinion tho 😂
@gregpl9363 i mean he did it for his lover but yes. In the story he tells to Hector about torturing the animal that dared to eat fruit from the tree he had worked to grow, we find out that he really is a sadistic psychopath that thrives off causing the most pain he possibly he can. It's pretty heavily hinted at that he was a pinochet general as well so this would line up with that quite well
Its funny that in the interrogation scene Gus said that the paper made no mention of a drug related homicide, but when they said that he was involved in a drug related homicide he immediately knew it was Gale
Probably because he had already worked on the story on Gale. Later on he mentioned how gale never asked for money but he told him it would be an investment and gus obviously not trying to play too dumb he had to make it seem like Gale had hinted at a drug related investment
People gotta understand that Gus didn’t expect Walt to ask him “or else you’ll do what” That “killing your kids” line was purely out of anger I’m assuming if push comes to shove, Gus would keep some of this anger and really hang Walt out to dry using his kids, not flat out killing them He’s the type to go “I have a better idea” before the scene cuts to black
When gus is walking towards the sniper, I love how they round hits first then the you hear the gunshot because if you have ever been near something being shot at or been actually shot at thats exactly how it sounds. The bullet hits then depending on the range, it takes a second or two to actually hear the gunshot!
Liked this realism in Oppenheimer too when they're doing the small explosives testing. We see the explosion, and then a full 2-3 seconds later hear the blast/see the shockwave
Gus should be the most stressed out character in the BB/BCS universe. Not only does he have to manage Pollos Hermanos, he also has to deal with the cartel and their aggressive tactics while pursuing his goal to secretly build a lab and get a super quality product just so he can get an invite to Don Eladio's place. And then he has to start dealing with Walt's BS. Gus is the only character that could deal with all that.
Walter is the most destructive character in any show or film. Everyone literally died or were ruined because of him. The only thing comparable to him is a hurricane/tornado.
The unfortunate reality of prequels and plot armor. Would’ve loved to see an alternate reality bc Lalo was much more cunning and capable than smug and tidy Fring, who was actually shxtting his pants just thinking of Lalo on his tail, had him stuck in a heavy OCD episode 😂 but you’re right, felt like a cop out and unrealistic.
He didn't shoot blindly in the dark Lalo was at a disadvantage because his muzzle flash gave away his position. Gus returned fire knowing where Lalo was while Lalo had no idea.
First time watching BB i was watching on a mobile. I must have not paid attention during season 3. I had no clue who Balsa was when he got killed. After that episode i decided to re watch properly from the start on the bigger screen.
I don’t really understand that at minute 22:00 gus killed his man,he could get rid of Walt and Jesse and let someone he trust on cooking ,why would he get in trouble to keep them alive
@@C_Nopehis Spanish is somehow average but it becomes really unintelligible at time with a heavy accent, which I personally was fine at first, as I assumed Gus was a black American that learned Spanish for "business" purposes. But when Hank revealed he's supposed to be Chilean, his Spanish really becomes bothering and takes you out of the story (for native speakers)
@@jonathanvaltierra3801 ok, so just not how someone who grew up speaking Spanish would speak it? Like weird pronunciations and emphasis on the wrong syllables of words? Or worse than that?
@@C_Nope I’m guessing it’s kinda like how any person who hasn’t learned English as a first language would have a non-native accent. His words are probably fine. I mean, I don’t speak Spanish and I could tell he didn’t speak like a typical Spanish native.
Gus is such a powerful and sweet boss, I hope he lived a clean and happy life after finishing up the cartel and Los Pollos Hermanos became the biggest Chicken restaurant chain in the world. ❤
Gus was not just smart, he was patient, he was
calculated and he left emotion and pride out for most
of the series, until he made a fatal mistake.
Indeed he did. In his gloating to Hector, he exposed a weakness to Jesse, who passed it to Walter who exploited it.
he worked with a man that didn't fear death
Gus fring, the boss we would all like to have in a legal business, but not in an illegal one.
He seems like a perfectionist and a micromanager. So I probably wouldn’t want him as a boss.
Wouldn’t trust his kindness and tidiness for shxt

Not quite. He (supposedly) learned Gale was murdered from the newspaper a week after being at his house.
He’s saying the paper he read said Gale was murdered but it didn’t mention why.
it works cuz gale is probably the only person he knew who had been murdered that week and had contact with

Gus in Season 4: I'll kill your baby.
why do you think he did that. at that point in time
Its crazy that gus gave walt an out and he still wouldn't take it.
Gus: "Are you asking me if I ordered the murder of a child?"
Also Gus: "I will kill your infant daughter!"
Gus is a great supporter of the DEA and holds Los Pollos Hermanos standards very dearly to his heart.
Love that he's insulted by Walt suggesting he might've played a part in killing Tomas but then goes on to threaten Walt Jr and Holly lmao
I feel like it was less that he was insulted and more a subtle warning not to throw around accusations.

Los Pollos was just a disguise, he had enough money to pay others to manage it
