If you're the proud owner of an OLED TV, you know how important it is to keep that stunning picture looking its best. But let's face it, with fingerprints, dust, and the occasional Cheeto mishap, your screen can get a bit messy. Fear not! We've got you covered with this easy guide to cleaning your OLED TV like a pro.
Step 1: Gather Your Cleaning Supplies
To get started, you'll need two microfiber cloths and some distilled water. Avoid using soaps, chemicals, or glass cleaners, as these can damage your screen.
Step 2: Unplug Your TV
This may seem obvious, but it's important to remember. Cleaning a TV that's still plugged in is a big no-no.
Step 3: Dust the Screen
Use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe away any loose dust or debris. If there are any stubborn particles, you can use a can of compressed air to blow them away.
Step 4: Wipe the Screen with a Damp Cloth
Dampen your microfiber cloth with distilled water and gently wipe the screen in a circular motion. Be sure to avoid using too much water, as this can cause streaks.
And there you have it! Your OLED TV is now looking as good as new. Just remember to plug it back in before you start your next Netflix binge-watching session.
The TV is still covered in a plastic film why are you cleaning it like this lmao
Just showing people how it’s done! Plus the most satisfying part about getting a new TV is pulling off the plastic and this TV doesn’t belong to us.
@@Echogear haha come on man!
I used a 3000 grit sand paper and paint thinner… came out looking great
That sounds great! Maybe we’ll do that for our next video 🤔
Lol
Gonna try this , thanks for the tip
I'm genuinely curious if this is a troll comment or a legit method. No way im using sand paper on my OLED, even if it was 100,000 grit
@@dannybee05 this is a troll comment. Don't use sand paper on your TV!
My gosh I’ve been driving myself nuts trying to clean this thing ! I’m not joking 😂 my husband loves it, my kids love to touch it, & I don’t love how well it cleans up… but this changed the game. I already was using my wet & dry expensive microfiber cloths what more did it want from me ? The circular motion vs the wipe top to bottom is a game changer thank you very much 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Try that on your husbands car. It works like wax on and wax off method
Happy to help!
well asociate stain on screen with pain😂 my kid does not touch it because i slapped him on his hands after several warnings, no i am not a bad person
Thank you!! That dish soap was help!! I had pufam samples by corner of tv in my bedroom an heat I'm guess made them spray.....not once but twice. It's the only thing that would have any spraying effect. It wasn't fun trying to get off. But the dish soap got it!! Thank you again!!!
use a super fine high quality fibre cloth, and destil water. some regions have poor quality tapwater with desinfective add.
but if you life in a region with excellent water quality no problem.
LG sughest making circular movements but i prefer the way it is done in this vid.
I have a sony oled, i used distilled water & micro fibre cloth,to clean my tv screen. My screen looks amazing, thanks for the tip
Happy to help!
can I use demineralized water instead of distilled or is that bad? I have a samsung odyssey g8 qd oled
should be fine
You haven't removed the protective covering from your screen
tysm
LG recommends cleaning in circular movements but guess makes little difference.😳
I have an LG OLED and have never used any chemical to clean the smudges off. I tried this method, using just a little Distilled water and two clean micro fiber clothes and no luck. I do see this video was done on a very clean screen and no smudges noted. Can anyone help?
I just cleaned mine with a dry microfiber cloth. The method in this video won't work on smudges. I went in a circular motion until they were gone. Dude needs to take the plastic off his TV and get it dirty before making videos.
I’ve got cat sneeze/snot on mine. What’s the best way to get rid of that? 😅 (serious question)

Isopropilic alcohol
Maybe your TV just likes to keep its smudges as a fashion statement!
Who tf has distilled water not me
Thanks Phil. Very helpful, and thanks for the gun show 😈
Happy to help!
i just clean it with a microfiber cloth and/or dust it off with my feather duster
You didn't take the plastic screen protector OFF!
NOT CREDIBLE...
you sure?
@@Echogear what you sure re papara?
I used tap water and the tv is unwatchable now
Shoulda used Phil's Secret Stuff 🤷♂
@@Echogear I gave it a fast circular wipe create some heat though friction and that dried it up and eventually it all dried up on its own
Distilled water shouldn't conduct electricity. The dust it picks up when cleaning, however.... Lol
Always good to unplug just to be safe!
1:12 don’t think it’s working buddy
😂
your tv isnt covered in steaks, and i have that exact microfiber cloth, it doesnt work.
If your TV is covered in steaks you've got bigger concerns 😅
@@Echogear😂
Brings a whole new meaning to TV chefs...
Opened a soda and shot all over my tv 😢
Distilled water isn't electrically conductive. It's the salt in the water that makes it conducive, which distilled water doesn't have.
So unplugging seems unnecessary.
can never be too careful!
I just used a bounty paper towel. Worked just fine.
Use a microfiber next time dummy.
Use paper towels at your own risk!
Paper towels are made from wood. Not a great idea over the long term. I don't even like microfibre towels, they are made from melted down plastic pellets. Natural fibre like cotton would probably be the best.
@@EchogearYou took no risk at all leaving the plastic on
@@EV-AD how’d you notice?
Step 1 Remove factory protective film 🤣
Thank you for the video. If your TV still has stickers on it from when you bought it, then you might be a .....
a what?
