The Bauer NS Skates were built for the new-to-hockey player or the casual skater. The boots offer good comfort and stability that help to make the early stages of skating as easy and as fun as possible.
i have Bauer NS Quad skates and they are a very comfortable boot and much better on the base of your foot than the old school Bauer turbos BUT they do rub on your inner ankle and will cause blisters, i put large plasters on my ankles to stop them rubbing which solves that problem and makes them a very nice boot to skate in :)

Do you have to buy a whole new skate if you need to replace the blade?
Yes, the steel is unreplaceable so if it were to break, you would either need to buy a new holder with steel or purchase new skates.

Will they be a good fit for a beginner that skates for 3-4 hrs per week or should I just go one level higher since the blade can't be exchanged.
These are a great first skates and should be just what you need for hitting the ice a couple times a week.

Is the Bauer supreme s27 equivalent to the s160? Is the s27 better than the s160 spec wise ?
Are these narrow fit or do they accommodate for wide feet? Also, is UK 11,5 foot going to fit into the 11.5 boot, or should it go larger?
They are a medium fit, so it has standard volume in the heel, forefoot, and instep, which accommodates most people's feet. If your shoe size is 11.5 UK, then you would want a 10.5 US skate.

Honestly, both skates offer great value, comfort and performance at this price since they are built with similar levels of materials. I'd go with whichever looks more visually appealing.

I've bought the NS (not from IW, but in Europe), and they are really, really uncomfortable
Upgrading to a Vapor X2.7 or Supreme S27 in a few days, because I can't move without arch and ankle pain, literally had boils on the front of my ankle from lace bite, even though it's (supposedly) the right size for me
Granted, I spend 5-6 hours on ice weekly, so it's my fault for going for the entry-level skates
@@matrixmirage2148 its sad to hear... I'm a begginer and wanted to buy these.... But after yr comment i'm confused .. Can't afford more expensive models yet
What is the difference to the NSX?
The NSX is going to last longer and provide a bit more comfort than the NS. You can see the eyelets have extra reinforcement, plus the tongue and liner have thicker foams than the NS too!

@@ice.warehouse hey, are they like soft from the side that you can press on them and they go in or are they hard (sorry i cant explain so good in english)
@@kiyanfn168 they have pretty hard shell. When you press with fingers won't bend.

They are soft! They have lots of flexibility.
