Purchased a pair when they came out. Coming from Vapours, I wasn't sure, but man those are the best skates yet. Well worth the price. I definitely recommend them.
I have a pair of those and they are AMAZING. If you are planning to get a new pair of skates that are worth a lot of money these are the skates for you. They are very light weight, they are really comfortable, they look AMAZING and they just make your skating a lot faster. I'm a kid and I have way more fun playing hockey now.
I just picked up a pair of the MX3 Pros (basically the same skate with a thicker tongue which doesn't have the interchangeable flex pieces, and non-Fusion runners) for $680. These babies are PHENOMENAL! The level of "bakability" of these skates is absurd! My only complaint so far is that they put me back on my heels, but my pro shop says they can just shim the back of the holders to fix that.
My local pro shop orders for our local university, so when they placed the order for their skates, they ordered a few extra pairs for the shop. I would imagine that any Bauer retailer should be able to order them though.
Am I right in guessing that these skates plus waxed laces = locked laces at every eyelet? I've got a pair of Reebok 28ks but I reckon the mx3 would be an even better fit.
The cost is pretty eye watering for a pretty average skater like me. Is it expected that this technology will filter down the whole Bauer range by the release of the next Nexus/Supreme/Vapor models?
So im either going with the NXG or MX3's and was wondering what the main difference was between the two. I see the NXG's are ctually lighter than the MX3's so maybe ill just go with the NXG's and not have to drop 850? What are your thoughts?
I'm playing in the Quebec International pewee hockey tournament , which is for the best pewee hockey players around the world, should I get these or the 190s , ps I'm on the ice 5 days a week
Completely off subject of the skate, will you be doing a review of the CCM RBZ shoulder pads etc... I'm thinking of buying them, but there's not enough information about them anywhere. Just curious, cheers.
Hi Chase, these skates are marked down right now. From your professional experience, would the flagship skates drop any further down from the current price point? Thanks!
No they won't go any lower, I bought them the minute they went on sale, you should too they're good skates, and you better get them fast, a lot of people are buying them!
Which skate should I get? Mx3, APX2, or Mako 2? I am coming from Missions that were really close fitting and would like to stay with the same feel. Tight to the feet and lightweight.
Hey I was wondering just how much faster is the special MX3 tongue going to make you? They says that the springboard feel increases your speed. I've narrowed my search down to Jetspeed's and MX3's but if the tongue makes you faster it might make the difference. Thankyou!
Hey, i have a narrow heel and wider forefront foot.. Just bought RBZ's not sure if they fit well or not (havent skated or baked them yet)..I had APX before these and they still kinda hurt my feet after 1 yr of use... just wondering what u think the best skate would be for me ? rbz, supreme, or vapor? thanks !!!
***** The Rbz's feel just a bit loose it seems, when i tried them on in store they seemed to fit great but the ones i got are made in canada, should there be a difference? and i have tried the supreme on and they seem to fit great but i like to go tongues out sometimes and i cant with the supremes.. thanks!
there's no such thing as having too stiff of a skate as for sticks, because you don't want any horizontal flexes on ur skates at all. However, if you aren't heavy enough, you won't need the extra support provided by the extra stiffness, so u'll just be wasting ur money buying stiffer skates.
Hey IW, can u guys please tell me what skates on the market have the best agility? I know the mx3's are good but I'm wondering which skates are the best!
Ya thanks man, but I'm not ready to pay $850 for skates, so I am looking around the X70's, or 170's.... what skates not top of line that are the best for agility?
oooh nice, total one shoulder pad is nice, u must be rich, i got a reebok 4k helmet with oakley straight modified large, ccm vector vibe shoulder pads ccm u8 elbows, reebok 9k pants, the old heavy two piece ones that bergeron and duchene wear, 4k shin's and 7k skates, i'm currently using an 18k sickick and ai5, reebok 5k gloves
that's tough honestly, the ai5 i've found to be a solid stick, good for everything, but i'm really big on quick releases, i like the 18k and sickick series were the first sticks i started using, but i always felt i lacked puck control due to the springy old blade they had, this upgrade ssx blade is awesome, stiffer towards toe, the handling is still better, but shaft dimensions for ai5 wins.....i wish the ai5 just had a quicker release and it's perfect. it's durability has been solid too been hacked at lots n' still surviving... i love taking slap shots with it also....i realized using a midkick stick to shoot snappers properly by leaning into it has improved my shots using a low kick stick! it's twice as hard/fast now! how about yourself? what stick do u like most?
how come u prefer the v9 over the v9e??? i've tried the rs but not the velocity series yet, the rs was sick, i got a 65 s for roller and really like the feel, but a bit heavy... are sherwood sticks good for durability?.... i think the dual lie is on certain blades only for easton right? not all?.....i think the same guy that developed that curve did the toews p14 and the new bergeron curve too right??? i'll have to try those later on when these sticks break! feel free to send me worn down high end sticks u guys don't use anymore after testing!!! haha jk
+Ice Warehouse thanks for more info! I think I'm gonna go with the vapor line. because, I seem to have a narrow foot and they feel great from what I've had in the past with the x selects.
Hey so obviously the 1s are coming out and I just have a financial question. Currently these skates have dropped to 550$ and I'm just wondering how much more you think they will drop before running out of the sizes around 7-8. Was looking at vapor x800s but these are the same price and look very nice. Would be nice to know from someone with experience.
MX3 Skates do not last. The new lace system is weak and the stitching pulls apart within a year. Bauer of course will not warranty this. Look for skates that still use the eyelet/grommet system which support themselves much better. One year of Bantam AAA hockey for my kid and already $50 worth of stitching repairs on an $800 skate? My old X50’s are still solid after 10 years. MX3’s are throwaways.
Oh well I put my money where my mouth is and invested in a pair. The funniest thing is that my hockey shop were having a 10% off sale so I paid $850 Australian dollars.........which, because the Australian dollar is low compared to the US dollar, works out at $707 US dollars.
I never knew skates with a carbon fibre quaterpackage could be heat treated and punched but the hockey shop in Sydney said it's not a problem. The Marsblades are causing some trouble. I've given the hockey shop a pair of Reebok 28ks and a pair of Bauer APX to see which one can accept the Marsblade chassis. It's summer here so I'm itching to get out and practice outside.
9 years later my all time favourite skate, class
Without a doubt, these are pretty iconic!

This guy does a nice job reviewing the skates.

Hey great review btw! How would you compare the diffrence between the MX3 -1X in terms of agility on the ice?
chase, would buying lightly used prostock MX3's be better than buying a completely new pair of skates for 300-350?
So im either going with the NXG or MX3's and was wondering what the main difference was between the two. I see the NXG's are ctually lighter than the MX3's so maybe ill just go with the NXG's and not have to drop 850? What are your thoughts?
Best skate in the market, super light, and look bad ass!
I'm playing in the Quebec International pewee hockey tournament , which is for the best pewee hockey players around the world, should I get these or the 190s , ps I'm on the ice 5 days a week
Hi, could you tell me if the toe box on the MX3 is made wider than the one on the APX?
Hey guys!
I just picked myself up a pair of these beauties and I was wondering what tongue you would suggest or is it all personal preference?
just curious but would you pick these over the 190s? i ordered a pair of these and im considering switching them out with the 190s.
What would be best choice for a player looking for maximum agility and speed, mx3 or 1x
Would I notice a big difference switching from vapors to Supremes?
Completely off subject of the skate, will you be doing a review of the CCM RBZ shoulder pads etc...
I'm thinking of buying them, but there's not enough information about them anywhere. Just curious, cheers.
***** Awesome, cheers mate.
Wow, that's awesome. Cheers for the info mate, appreciated.
i have baked my mx3's twice and i have worn them about 4 times and they still hurt so bad. what should i do?
Swrl probably skates too big? I had that problem too. Half size down was perfect for me now
Should I get the MX3 skates or the APX2 skates. which one is better?
Would you bake your skates with the tounge insert in or out?
I would take the insert out.
Chase at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse thanks for the reply. Do you know if the inserts are one size fits all?
What's the closest curve in normal curves( the ones I can get p88 pm9 ect) is closest to the pro stock stamkos curve?

which do you like more apx2 skates or mx3 skates
When do these come out in Canada ( Montreal) Thanks!
When do these skates come out?
Are these the top of the line model for skate coming from bauer
Which skate should I get? Mx3, APX2, or Mako 2? I am coming from Missions that were really close fitting and would like to stay with the same feel. Tight to the feet and lightweight.
Mx3s
+Isak Felton That's what I ended up buying
+Luc Gehring nice
Thanks, also when r the nexus 8000 skates coming out.
Ok thanks
Which runners would you recommend more: the LS 2's or the LS Fusions and why? Thanks!
***** Thanks! So to narrow it down a little further, would you recommend the LS 2's or the LS 3's and why?
which skate is better the 1x or the supreme 1s?thank you
What skate line from bauer is the best for a wide foot?
what about the price (in euros)
great video!
What is the difference between these and the one190's

+Ice Warehouse have you ever heard of anyone breaking the injected stability lacing system.
***** when do the 1s skates come out
***** thanks chase
+Ice Warehouse Hey Chase, When will the 1S be available for the public to purchase and when that happens will the MX3 price be reduced?
Thanks,
Vinnie
Are these still good boots or should i buy me a newer on like the 3X ?
Technology has a come a long way and you'll get much more performance and comfort out of a newer skate.
Brandon at IW Hockey
thank you i bought a used Supreme mach and it’s awesome

thank you!
Thanks mate
Will there be a Mx3 stick ??
How much are they and would they be sold in a local hockey retailer?
ok thank you
would this skate be to stiff for me if I'm a 13 year old who weighs around 110 pounds?

does heat baking skates shorten the life of the skates?

Around $200-$300 and a size 6.0-6.5.
Sounds good! Thanks man!
Just one more question that I have recently thought of, lol. What is the next warrior stick that is coming out? It looks really nice!
That sounds awesome! By any chance do u know when it will be released?
if i wear a 7.5 to an 8 shoe size uk what size supreme mx3 skate should i be ordering of these from you guys thanks.
go to their website, and on the product page, u'll see a sizing chart.
woah chase has hair now! haha, nice review! these skates look dope
chase what equipment do you use from head to toe?
oooh nice, total one shoulder pad is nice, u must be rich, i got a reebok 4k helmet with oakley straight modified large, ccm vector vibe shoulder pads ccm u8 elbows, reebok 9k pants, the old heavy two piece ones that bergeron and duchene wear, 4k shin's and 7k skates, i'm currently using an 18k sickick and ai5, reebok 5k gloves

oh also it's weird, for roller hockey i tend to like using easton sticks, they feel more solid, i don't know what it is, strange

Can you put a epro holder and reebok blade on these?
Yep love the way I skate with them
No problem!
I'm kinda in a debate between the supremes and the vapors. I get an explosive start and I will reach top speed in a flash.
+Ice Warehouse thanks for more info! I think I'm gonna go with the vapor line. because, I seem to have a narrow foot and they feel great from what I've had in the past with the x selects.
What about the od1n

i've heard pro's prefer 190 over this, apparently because of the blade.
no they wear these just differnt blades
