"Joan Of Arc" is an unreleased Stevie Nicks song that is an outtake from the 1986 'Tango In The Night' sessions. The song was recorded in Early 1986 soon after Stevie wrote it.
While the sound of "Joan Of Arc" fits in perfectly with the rest of the songs recorded for 'Tango In The Night,' it was inexplicably left off of the album when it was released in Spring 1987.
When 'Tango In The Night' was reissued in 2017 with outtakes and demos from the sessions, "Joan Of Arc" was not among them. Stevie said that she was not quite through with "Joan Of Arc" and wanted to work on it a little more before finally releasing it.
Aside from "Joan Of Arc," evidence exists that two other Stevie songs were also recorded for 'Tango In The Night' but not released: "Whole Lotta Trouble" and "What Has Rock And Roll Ever Done For You?". No recordings of these two songs from these sessions have ever surfaced, just solo Stevie versions from 1986.
