    You are probably the best psytrance tutorial maker around at the moment. The reason why your videos are so great is that you fill them with so much nuance and details that even if it is a subject that you are totally uninterested in you can still watch it and get a lot out of it.

      @@olliepsy I mean, why do some people want to sound like someone else? It's better to find your own sound, init? I remember when I just started learning music production I was trying to replicate anyone else's style. Eventually, I had an Autechre-like track, a Boards of Canada-like track, you name it, and realized I didn't have a me-like track. Do you know what I mean? English is not my first language, so the explanation I made might seem barely digestible to you.

      @@CuriousPassenger Of course you shouldn't only be replicating others. But when beginning most people have no idea how to achieve certain sounds and with this kind of tutorials they can increase their sound pallet which which will help them find their own style

    • @produccionesabuela8533
      @produccionesabuela8533 Рік тому +1

      @@CuriousPassenger Learning how to create these complex sounds is a big inspiration for sound synthesis design, as you learn pathways that you can later replicate in different ways following your own style. Many times I get blocked in that regard, so watching this kind of tutorials is a big help to try new things. It's not as if I'm looking to create an Ajja-track, in fact I don't produce psytrance at all.

      “Good artists borrow, great artists steal”- Picasso, Steve Jobs, Stravinsky, every art school professor ever. True uniqueness and artistic expression is extremely rare in psytrance so may as well teach people to make derivative sounds that do not suck. Mastering the tools and techniques is a long journey and sometimes studying the methods of others is a shortcut to understanding. Ideally you should define your own sound with that knowledge. Few seem to get that far but the journey is still worthwhile! Listen to The Dog of Tears for a masterclass in creative psytrance and recommend similarly un-similar music to me 😊
