    Thx Olli! These concepts are so important and not often covered here on yt. I would love to see more insights into these (tought)processes of telling the story of a track and progress further.

    Nice. Didn`t really think of simply lowering the volume of the clip like you show for the question part of the lead. It does the job well. Usually i sidechain with dynamics or specific frequency EQ (audio sidechain modulator) one lead to another, which is always a good possibility, and maybe play with the dry/wet to maintain flow and glue together. But this is also nice and quick trick. Would love to see more of your arrangement/mixing strategies in future. Thank you Ollie.

    • @olliepsy
      @olliepsy  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, I feel lowering the volume is just more straight forward, I'm kinda lazy so makes more sens for me lool
      Also, I try to avoid sidechaining as I consider these compressor (audio modulator in Bitwig) are deisgned to work with "acoustic signals" that changes at every hit, rather than a repetitve, always on point fully digital signal.

    Hey Ollie! Many thanks for your good hard work until now! My productions became much better since I m watching your great video tutorials. I would love to see more tips for harmonic storytelling in tracks too. A Kickdrum lib for Kick2 would be also very welcome. But if you´re more the twilight to sunshine happy Cmajor guy :-)), why are there no Vids in producing this sound? sunny greetz

    Also Ollie If We Want To Proceed Further The Sequence Should We Need To Take Atleast One Same Sound From Previous Sequence Or Have To Create A Whole New Sound.

    • @raavanhitech
      @raavanhitech Рік тому

      In my opinion completely depends on how you feel the flow is going. If you feels it's not repetitive you can take same sounds for even 64 bars but you'll need to add a lot of new things in the background. Or have things turn on or off between them. Like an lfotool gate at the end of 8 bars and macros.

      a really rough guide to good Q and A is contrast. A run of short notes into longer notes, wide into narrow, dynamic to static , rising pitch followed be falling pitch and so on. This is a good place to start experimenting with phrasing.

      @@olliepsy Yes, it's me right here. It is indeed this simple device, i'm new to bitwig and i'm having a little bit of trouble reproducing the same results, I tried your sequencer which is fantastic but I can't get close to it. Sorry for the delayed answer! Here's a video showing it the same way I used to use it (6minutes): ua-cam.com/video/JOAKpAJCi0c/v-deo.html

    hey Ollie, this really does not sound better than stuff Hallucinogen or Infected Mushroom or Talamasca etc.. was doing 20 years ago.
    They had very limited tools but they were still able to make this stuff. You have the amazing Bitwig and yet you're only using it to try to copy something from 20 years ago that people did in Cubase VST rofl.
    When I hear your bassline @ 2:05 I immediately have a bad reaction because it sounds so cliché, dated, conservative, and uninnovative.
    You need to go in a different direction and be more innovative instead of just trying to make the same ideas everyone already did.

    • @olliepsy
      @olliepsy  Рік тому +1

      You can't inovate if you don't know how the basics works, just like in school, they first teach you how to add & subtract then multiply & divide....

    • @zyxyuv1650
      @zyxyuv1650 Рік тому

      @@olliepsy Ok fine, I guess you are right, it could be a requirement to learn basics first. Maybe there's something to both sides of our argument.
