DON'T consider only growth in job and career as 'growth'.
This is the story of a large segment of men in our country. While women are also struggling in terms of mental health and healing, I see they are taking more initiative towards learning & unlearning.
Older men, once they retire, enter burn out & do not have anything to look forward to.

Very true when you say that men should think beyond their professions and jobs. Cultivating two hobbies is necessary, whatever they may be. I see a lot of men in their 40s and beyond who have no interests in life. They don't read, write, travel or do anything else. Some like to get drunk and others watch toxic soap operas on TV. Men need to come out of their rot. Make men great again! 😊

So sad to know that IPS officer committed suicide. Seems that he couldn’t survive a day without his soulmate. Hope they don’t have any kids. An all around development of the individual - be it boy or girl - is a concept that must be put into practice beginning with schools. Indian schools are so heavily concentrated on academic syllabus. Testing only for memory capacity, book worm capabilities and sadly nothing more.

The past is past, bro. You are not perfect until you make some mistakes, bro, and those mistakes are not your fault either. It's okay.
It's okay to start again. To get over the past, get therapy; it will definitely help you.
Or if you want to get some temporary relief by yourself, read about internal family systems. It will help you find out why you made those mistakes and how you can overcome them.
