    I just made these..my first time making onions. I LOVED them...so crispy and light. I'm an onion ring connoisseur and these are the best I've ever eaten..can't believe I made them myself...without a deep fryer too. Thanks Dave!

    Batter: 3/4 cup all purpose flour a quarter cup of cornstarch salt and pepper and then mix add little bit by little bit water/milk and in the end mix the onions in the batter then put it in breadcrums and then fry it used this to help y'all

      also if u dont have panko breadcrumbs, u just cut the crusts of white bread, cut the piece into strips, put them in a blender, then toast the crumbs in the oven. super easy.

      Dave, i like mine with a little ramekin or bowl with fresh horseradish and mayo, delicious, also, if you want them super crispy, for the amount of batter you had there, add 1 teaspoon of baking powder stirred in, do not use baking soda, they will be extra crunchy, have a good day friend.

      I always go... Because by the time I would usually decide not to go, I'm already halfway done.

    If you soak the onion rings in milk for 15 min first, then they loose that “sharp” onion taste , then roll them lightly in flour, dip in batter then panko bread crumbs, great video 👍🏼

    This makes me really want an air fryer now!!! I hate cleaning up oil, I only fry something around once a year, but those look absolutely amazing 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

      I've had a few things in our air fryer not a fan at all. It burns real easy and has not much flavor. Anything deep fried in oil is heaven on Earth. Totally worth the cleanup

    Handy dandy tip!
    If you can’t find bread crumbs in supermarkets if you have a food processor you can pulse breadcrumbs
    I recommend brioche breadcrumbs

    As a alternative to bread crumbs , you can use finely crushed up plain potato chips.

    I wrote 2 weeks ago, and I'm back to say this 100% WORKS ON COD FILLETS! Crunchy fish & chips are awesome. I used beer instead of the soda or ice water for the chips, because it adds a little of a bitter flavor that works really well with the fish and lemon (no vinegar for me, thanks...)

    Tried your recipe out, modified it a bit to add different flavours, and the restaurant I work at loved them. We’ve been getting questions about when they’ll be back haha.

    I have always loved onion rings. My Bride has always loved them also. This is the PERfect recipe. No kidding. I like a mixture of regular bread crumbs and the Panko. So amazing, and if you keep them on warm in a toaster oven, the are STILL crispy much later. The penultimate onion ring recipe.
