I made soft but crunchy potato rings.
The scent of garlic butter and green onion goes well together, and the flavor is very good.
It's easy to make, so make it!
It's great as a snack or side dish.
*** Weighing is scale (g), rice spoon (Tbsp), teaspoon (tsp) (not measuring spoon)
[diameter 6cm, 34 pieces]
✤ Ingredients
- 435g, 2 Potatoes (before peeling)
- 36g (2Tbsp) Minced garlic
- 20g Unsalted butter
- 3g (1tsp) Salt
- 40g (4Tbsp) All-purpose flour
- 100g Water
- 40g (4Tbsp) Cornstarch
- 50g Green onion
✤ TIP
- If you have leftovers, keep them in the freezer. (Can be refrigerated for 1-2 days)
- Bake the soggy fried potatoes in an oven at 160℃ (320℉) for 7 to 10 minutes, and the oil will drain out and become crispy again.
(Temperature varies depending on oven specifications)
- If you bake in the oven or air fryer without deep frying, the same texture will not come out.

I found this recipe by accident when looking up something completely different, and I showed my mother the video. We just made a batch together, and we were absolutely blown away. The flavor is unbelievably nostalgic to us as we've had something like it long ago, yet neither of us can recall what it was. Warm or cool, these are just ridiculously delicious. My mother and I both had a bit of a laugh, saying that "I accidentally opened Pandora's Box by finding this video", and that "we're going to be making these weekly for sure".
Video is a year old, but from a mother and son who absolutely love this recipe, thank you for sharing it. We didn't get them exactly the same, but a first attempt that was slightly off yet makes us crave more is a win in my book!

Можно сварить неочищенную, или запечь в фольге. Если есть пресс для картофеля, то прям с кожурой пропустить, она не пройдет и толочь не придется

I tried it for the first time, it took me at least an hour and a half (I made double the amount). It tasted great, but I guess you have to eat it immediately, otherwise it will lose it´s crispyness and be soft! Also mine were soaked in oil. I want to try to bake it in the oven next time. And mine were not that prettyly round like yours - I have a lot to work on!

The same thing happened to me, but mine were not oily. My guess is your oil is not hot enough, which is absorbed by the potato. Hope this helps, good luck and have fun cooking :)
