This is very cool, for a while I have been looking for a deep analysis of the data and I am happy that I found that in your channel, thank you my friend
Great resource. Lot of learning curve with it as there are several associated websites to create a good map, and I did not have most of them, but the walk thru combined with the pause button and playing sections over several times got me thru a lot of it. Very useful stuff. Thanks.
I'm Def needing this lesson. Thanks so much! I've tried before and had so much trouble l gave up. Maybe after this. Unfortunately I'm at a trunk or treat so I'll probably have to rewatch it fully tonight lol.
it kinda cut out when you were going to ecxplain how to import this to google earth? is there another video on this? thank you very easy to do thus far following you i really appreciate it!
The state of Washington has a Lidar site as do several counties, just open the map and use it, toggle Google maps overlay on or off, what you're doing seems like to much work for those not tech savvy.
when i start Qgis the template is not the same as yours. the box on the left is labled browser and does not have the tile .icon for raster in it. i have to use layers at the top to get the files. also when i try to merge files the raster tab at the top only has 2 options, raster calculator and align raster. is align raster the same as merge?
I've been trying to get 1m dem for Oregon using this method but the national map throws the error of "Due to a network outage, download of Lidar Point Cloud products may be unavailable. Access will be restored as soon as network repairs are complete."
Do you have download link to the 2 areas in cooker creek from qgis you cold share as well? I've been following along and I get the same error message@@theprospectinggeologist4347
I’m not sure. What I use in the US has been collected by federal and state governments and provided for free to the public. I don’t know how it works for most other countries.

Thanks for the tips! Going to try this again now... by the way, Firenze is the Italian name for the city of Florence, Italy
I'm going to try to do this tonight
are you still making custom maps for people? I would love one
I just found your channel from ask jeff williams ,✌️
Awesome! Love Jeff Williams he is a great guy.
Thank you!! It worked great!!
Glad it helped!
Can you put a video tutorial on how to detect minerals and subsurface water, I would be grateful to you
Can you make a video of how to detect buried gold or metal or any anomaly on the ground just using GEE? thanks
No way to really do that. Lidar just shows you the ground surface as if there were no vegetation.

Can you use this for countries outside of the USA ?
Some countries have LiDAR data provided to their citizens others don’t. Canada, UK, Australia all have some Lidar available.
How to find gold spot area sir using Google eart
Heyy I’d love to pay for additional help with a complex map feature I want to do. Please let me know your price and availability

Using the Mac version the same happened to me, you just have to turn on the right windows.

I've been playing with that USGS a while. Still not figured out😅
The national map download? What are you trying to use it on? It will not work on your phone nor will the GIS programs.
@@theprospectinggeologist4347 I've use USGS portal ...what's ur problem man?
? Didn’t mean anything negative or bad was just trying to trouble shoot to help.
Thankyou very much
It's called "terrain ruggedness" not roughness.
Thanks for the correction!
