- This is a taste test/review of the new V8 Veggie Blend beverages. There are four flavors: Purple Power, Carrot Mango, Healthy Greens and Golden Goodness. They are all gluten free. They were $2.98 each at Walmart.
* Purple Power: “A vegetable and fruit juice beverage with a 75% blend of three vegetable & fruit juices from concentrate with other natural flavors”. Includes: 7 ¼ purple carrots, 5 ½ beets and ¾ green apple. 8 ounces = 50 calories
* Carrot Mango: “A vegetable and fruit juice flavored beverage with a 75% blend of carrot juice and mango puree from concentrate”. Includes: 16 ¾ carrots and a hint of mango. 8 ounces = 60 calories
* Healthy Greens: “A vegetable and fruit juice beverage with a 75% blend of three vegetable juices not from concentrate and five vegetable and fruit juices from concentrate and spinach puree with other natural flavors”. Includes: 11 ¾ spinach leaves, 8 ¼ yellow carrots, 2 apples, a hint of pineapple and 1/8 combined cup of cucumber, celery, kale, spinach, green bell pepper and romaine lettuce. 8 ounces = 60 calories
* Golden Goodness: “A vegetable and fruit juice beverage with a 75% blend of four vegetable and fruit juices from concentrate with other natural flavors”. Includes: 1 ¾ sweet potatoes, 11 ½ yellow carrots, 1 orange carrot and a squeeze of orange. 8 ounces = 60 calories

Oh my gosh these juices are so freaking good I got rid of all my fake sugar juices and bought the whole set of these and they are very very good. The Sweet Greens & Blueberry/Pomegranate is the best ones.

I love you guys. You's are so funny. You remind me a lot of my crew. I make my own fruit and veggie smoothies. I thought at first this would be a cheaper way to go. After seeing you guys struggle to get it down, I guess I will stick with making my own. Thanks for the review.
Renae Borowski If you are used to making your own, I would stick with that. That way, you can choose to add the things you like best ;)

So far I have had Purple Power and Golden Goodness. Purple Power tastes like a mild apple juice and golden good you can definitely taste the sweet potatoes. I like them both your review of the green one makes me a little more positive about buying it.

Oh the power of persuasion!! I was watching this video enjoying my morning iced coffee which normally tastes amazing and as I'm watching yall talk about how the golden goodness tastes like carrot baby purée I SWEAR my coffee turned into that flavor 😂😂😂. I had to close my eyes so I could finish it!! Lol!! Seriously, I've never had any of the V8 juices but I don't think I'll try them after this. I'll stick to my coffee and water!

Take each one those, including the V8 Splash "Tropical Bend", and the regular V8 "Vegetable Blend" and make a cocktail with them to get your immune system up for fighting against the Corona Virus. 😉
I'm currently using the Tropical Blend, Healthy Greens, and Vegetable Blend...When I find those other ones I'll combine them into the mix. 😊

re Purple Power
Beets are said to be a natural way to reduce blood pressure. High blood pressure is bad news. Strokes and heart attacks are said to be resultants of high blood pressure.
My parents ate borscht, which is yucky beet soup from "beyond the pale." I am now elderly, so I am actually eating beets and other salad veggies, but also take various medicines daily. When you are elderly, you try to avoid sugar & sodium/salt,
I was not much of a veggie eater, but now am. Consult your physician. Read everything you can, of course, while realizing that you are often if not always being $old $tuff.

You guys are all too hilarious (as always, haha). I've never been a fan of V8 (vegetable or fruit based), so I doubt I would like these drinks. I prefer to just eat my vegetables, not juice them into exotic concoctions ;) Thank you for another informative, super entertaining, and laugh-out-loud funny review!
Liz S. You are welcome Liz ;) I think they really try to make these more appealing, but, no, they are not for us. Now, Andrew took them home and Christina did keep two of the four for herself which I think is terrific. The boys in the break room where he works are in for a surprise though!!

I'd hate the second one too because I hate sweet potatoes. Yuck. Now that third one I might have to go buy, I love carrot juice and mangoes. For juice like this I like Naked Juice's Mighty Mango and Green Machine. Very, very good. Juicing your own and making your own smoothies is the best though. Juicing is way too expensive, smoothies are the way to go, no waste. :P

Judy Chapman That's great! Ashley has made her own and she didn't like it, but I thought it was pretty good. She used fruit though so it was sweet and refreshing.

My Husband and kids love this kind of stuff. If I buy the Nakeds they fly out of here. I have a bottle of this waiting for my husband to try. Personally I cant stand them. I think they are so gross. I love the original V8 though :)

Oh Tami lol I bet you did. Nakeds are a brand of their own. We can get them at Costco and Walmart. Hubby and kids love them.

Those juices from V8 are a joke. They are nothing more than juice-flavored water. The same thing as the flavored water you can get. For any benefit from drinking these juices, you would have to consume a small lake of them......daily.
Lies. They are better than any sugary drinks on earth.
