Former chauffeur here: I drove Anita Pointer in the mid-1990s from the airport to an Indian casino. 🤩The woman is tall or maybe it was the boots she was wearing. She was talking about how she liked the luggage she had and wanted to get another one. I drove her in a Lincoln Towncar so talking to her was easy - it's so quiet. As a professional driver, you can feel a vibe, some people don't want to chat, but not her. I told her how my super-nerd brother sang this song out loud when it came on the radio. I saw her laugh when I looked at her in the rear-view mirror. RIP. 🙏

I'm sure that your comment definitely touched your heart and that's what we need more people to be understanding and loving toward one another. Like you had said the way it used to be LOL smile 😀😀💅🌹 little let me know at that particular time that is time went on we were leaving some of the most precious years and time behind. Because it will never ever be like it was all we can do is continue to hold on to the beautiful memories that we had and that brings it all about back to music depending on what type of music you actually enjoy because there's so much beautiful music out there. But I'd like to thank you so very much for being a listener to the station and if she should ever have a comment please feel free to contact me and I'll be more than happy to get back in contact with you as well. My parents use to take dance classes/lessons and they were ALWAYS dancing to the Pointers Sisters Music. They were a staple in my house. The Sisters were touring in their '90s. So I got my parents tickets and arranged for a limo to take them in and out of New York City to see The Pointer Sisters. Listening to their music now after all of these years gives me goosebumps. Such nice memories

Reply black heart bev from Denise f i e l d s hi happy Saturday to you you know I just finished reading a comment that was dated quite some time ago when we go to the point or sisters and the song slow hand I don't know if you ever received a return reply or not because of when this was dated and just trickled down to me but it's okay cuz I will reply anyway. Yes I do feel that you were so right on when you comment in regards to the female group I agree with you 100%. They won't afraid to get out there and do different types of songs some people feel that they were when should I say we're not giving their proper dues but I don't feel that way simply because anytime you receive a Grammy for writing a country song and you have to be women of color in the 80s and they also performed in the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville again women of color and then one year they received an award for best videos and of course unfortunately they had tragic they lost their baby sister June and they lost Bonnie I believe Bonnie with the oldest so these women were out there on their job and people recognize them for who they were. I remember when I was a kid and my mother called me to the television hurry quick and I saw these women dancing and singing in these big floppy hats dresses too big and didn't fit joy that didn't match you know it was fake in other words they love the worst of worst but whoever thought about marketing them that way and them getting out there doing their thing paid off big time I was watching an interview with one of the sisters and she had said that's not how they wanted it to be that's not how they wanted to start out looking she said the only reason why they went out that way was because they didn't have the money to look like they really wanted to look and so they just did what they had to do and fortunately enough it worked they got over people loved them and the rest is history they started out in Arkansas moved to Oakland California is where the beginning of their career all came together and unfortunately the baby June was the one that I identified with the most because she was the youngest and she was just so crazy to get out there and do anything and when I found out that she had passed of cancer at UCLA medical center in the state of California I was like wow it's hard for me to believe. However I would like to thank you so very much for being a listener to the station and anytime you feel like comedy please feel free to do so and I will definitely get back in contact with you okay so I'm going to try to enjoy my Saturday I've been enjoying it all day because I've been answering comments from other people and now I'm down to you so take care peace and love thank you 😀♥️😊👁️🍒😲🩰💦🎶👄😘💜💕🔥🔥🔥💅.

I'm 78. Went to pick my kids up at a roller skating ring in Miami in 1980. I walked in, and the ring was totally empty, save one very attractive brunette, early 20's, who was doing an abso 3:55 lutely mesmerizing dance on skates to the tune "Slow Hand". I stood there paralyzed with some strong emotions until the song was over. Those memories and feelings remain as strong for me today as they were then. Thank you, Pointer Sisters. Thank you, unknown lady. Wow, what memories!

I love this song because it sends a message to men. It seems to me that was what The Pointers were trying to do. God Bless their hearts and foresight for that.

Many people will come and go from your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. Friendship is one of the most beautiful feelings to live because it gives wealth, emotions, complicity and because it is absolutely free. Suddenly you see each other, you choose, you build a sort of intimacy; you can walk side by side and grow together while travel on different roads, even if they are distant, like the two of us, hundreds of thousands of kilometers I took the liberty of writing my thoughts here where you could write is it possible to make friends? thank you for reading it, sometimes it doesn't take much to be friends please don't hesitate to reply me. THANK YOU and remain BLESSED.
