I am somewhat impressed by how bad the new layout is. I have never had a UI change affect me so negatively. Props to UA-cam, I think this is the worst layout I've seen in my life to date.

The center of attention is now other videos instead of comments. This is becoming anti-social media.
Of course, watching more videos means sitting through more ads. It's also why they push shorts on desktop.

I HATE THIS NEW UI. theather mode, which i loved because it would hide all videos and other crap from my screen, now displays the video recommendations on the lower part

the new design pissed me off so much, I need the old one back. Who ever designed this layout at UA-cam needs to be moved to a department where their ideas never influence UA-cam's physical layout again

I just got this today, this is the single worst UI i've seen a website change to. UA-cam has made some bad choices but this is insane, it's unusable
Thank you! I was absolutely horrified by the new design. How in the world did that pass a lot of people and get chosen? The recommended across the lower side was so distracting, i made my window smaller and hid the lowest part of the window off screen. And the comments felt hidden and were a drag to go through. Hopefully they get enough bad feedback they change it back, but until then, extension it is...

Oh my god thank you so much. Ive been trying to fix for this past few days, the new layout was driving me mad. Feel like the scaling is still off. The recommended thumbnails seem huge and comment text seems small. but atleast I dont have to look at the far side of my secondary monitor to see comments anymore.

Thank God we have extensions, but It's one more to FIX the internet browsing experience in general. We need tons of extensions just to be safer, convenient and not make eyes bleed.

prolly permanent, just like the removal of playlists on sidebar, removal of dislikes being visible, removal of video replies, removal of the don't be evil policy, removal of annotations, removal of community subtitles...
I hope they fire who made these new changes.

Other than just how bad the new UI is, I got a bug which wouldnt allow me to interact with UA-cam. Basically it was caused when your YT tab is made smaller (by using your mouse and moving the edge of the tab), when the tab was made smaller it made YT looked like the old UI with the likes and dislikes in the right space as well as the recommended videos. Because this wasn't supposed to show the old UI it made it so that I wasn't allowed to interact with any part of the website which looked like it, so unless I full screened YT I couldn't click the like buttons or any recommended videos.
Yes, it worked, i hated the new layout, now its back to normal, thank you much, i would probably have had to give up UA-cam if i couldn't change it back.

Somehow I can't scroll up nor down if I hover over the video or the comments. Is there an option in the settings which I have to toggle? (That's probably as infuriating as the new design to me!) Also the video seems to be cut off on the right side.

Thanks so much for making this video. New UI is pathetic. You saved me from this quite frustrating mood. My heartfelt thanks to you. From your video i learnt that UA-cam selected few specific accounts to updae the new UI but they should have given such message instead applying it discreetly. There should have been revert to old UI button.

Guys, it is supposed to make you click more videos and make more views, thus see more ads and generate more money. That is what matters for UA-cam. UA-cam does not want you to read comments.

i was so confused on what the hell happened to youtube, it really disoriented me, i hated seeing the videos on the bottom, made me feel like i was shopping for videos instead being offered to look at the videos, i overall just hate it so much, like first Roblox with their new HUD, now youtube, insta is prob next tbh

I had this layout for 2 weeks earlier in the year before it was reverted. and now its back since the last 2 days. Its horrendous.
I literally have two chat windows (chat and live-chat) when watching live videos, the like buttons have disapeared and this text box is tiny. What are they thinking?!?
The UI reverted back after I was on youtube without my extension so hell yeah now i don't want to kms

That extension worked but now I've got an unwanted pop-up player when I scroll down and I have a Shorts deck I need to get rid of. Plus, I don't like the format of the related videos on the right. They now require more scrolling.
comments are under the video now thankfully, but why can't I have a small viewing screen? i have the extions thingy

UA-cam wanted to put more ads on the page.. So they moved comments to the smaller half of the page. They are getting so bad with pushing the ads and trying to force users to watch them. Im really starting to see it from the creator side of how much UA-cam doesn't care about content creators or user's. Just money.

Is there a way to use this and then not have it affect my rower fixer for youtube? Because while it puts everything back, it also clashes with my row fixer and puts four videos per row on the sidebar instead of just a single column.
