MMDA should send a letter - stern warning to MC Taxi companies since they are the most flagged MCs in the Bus Lane in EDSA.

Increase the penalty to:
1st offense: 15,000 and plus suspension of driver's license for 6 months.
2nd offense: 30,000 and suspension of driver's license for 1 year.
3rd offense: 50,000, revocation of driver's license and impound of the used vehicle.

80% of income penalty with a minimum of 20k in first offense, if kumikita ka ng 10k kase 8k lang yon so kailangan may minimum. pataas din na penalty like 90% of income sa mga violators na may multiple sources of income (examaple: doctor na may business)
2nd violation kung pwede 100% ng yearly income tapos revoke license and vehicle impound
3rd violation 200%-500% income based penalty tapos kulong for 10years
Imagine kahit 5k na yun fine... there are still people willing to take the chance using the bus lane... these drivers show absolutely no value for money, no respect for the law, no respect towards other motorist... There are some that stop right away and then there are some that play peek-a-boo with the police(that should be considered as a chase)... dapat those who are trying to avoid getting caught and start swerving, dapat that is triple offense.... bus lane offense, reckless driving swerving, and chase. That should call for a license suspension.

Quick amendment. Also penalize the MC taxi company for their rider's actions. Will force the MC company to enforce that their riders must not break rules. I think that will be an even more effective deterrent.

You should also show videos of buses who overstay at the Heritage hotel station at the corner of Roxas blvd and Edsa and tell the MMDA to apprehend those buses who block the bus lane by overstaying.

@@m1cma23 This. This is what's really happening here. Unless the license is confiscated, these idiots won't pay those fees and probably just get a fake license.
If they don't pay the fine they can't renew the registration. So it would take months before some of them will get caught.
Now that it is December, hopefully Bong can come back on duty. I'm sure his suspension must be over by now.

Maybe you can also provide the statistics / data on how many of those apprehended have paid their penalties versus the total apprehensions.
Do they provide signage specifically for bus lanes, and are there road barriers in place along the route? For instance, from Munoz to Monumento, have designated barriers been applied to prevent road users from gaining access
Yes, there are signs everywhere, yes there are barriers for the bus lane, but only the flyovers and tunnels have no barriers, for safety reasons.

Did you ever encounter someone who has surrendered a digital license through the LTO portal? Cause I read there that you can actually use this as verification in case you didn't physically bring your license. 😊
On how will those violators gonna pay there fines? Is it renewal of license or renewal of vehicle registration?

The fine should increase to like 15k to a first offense so as to discourage them from using the bus lane and to permit the use of NCAP for the bus lane violators, the government should be very strict to insure order in the country
If an ambulance passes thru the bus lane and a motorcycle is behind the ambulance but he/she is the family member of the patient inside the ambulance will they still be fined?
If MMDA can also do this in Ortigas Ext as there are tooooooo many MC riders comfortably endangering other motorist by casually counterflowing.
Aside from Bus Lane violation, they should add "Disregarding Traffic Sign" since there's signs everywhere telling you that the Bus Lane is for Buses only. Also "Reckless Driving" since they're endangering both themselves and the others.
But then Marcos still expecting discipline from this people by not increasing illegal parking penalties.?!

All violations and fines paid or unpaid are recorded in MMDA's data base. If a fine is being paid for a violation, records will be checked by the MMDA for previous apprehensions, paid/unpaid fines and the number of offenses committed. The downside is when a rider uses a fake driver's license. Enforcers should be trained how to spot fakes so violators can be charged with additional violations and fines.
@@-rimurutmpstI'm a holder of a 10yr. validity Prof. DL since 2022. In case I don't pay fines for violations, MMDA will have to wait another 8yrs. to collect payment..hihihi. Penalties should be charged by MMDA for unpaid fines same as with late renewal of licenses and registrations of vehicles.
@@user-qr1fs1ne7wi think license gets confiscated and they need to pay the penalties asap, i was flagged down once before because of swerving and my license got confiscated and needed to pay the fines within 7 days i think, they issue the ticket to be your temporary license while waiting for your payment. I think it's the same here since this is a more serious offence.

if the goal is to prevent private vehicles from entering the bus lane then the best solution is to make it inaccessible to them. no matter how much penalty you impose, no one can really prevent them from using it as long as it is accessible to them.

Imagine being the passenger of those MC taxi riders who take the bus lane. MC taxi companies should be fined as well and the same should take action on those violating riders.

I would like MMDA enforcers to operate during midnight in shaw tunnel. There are lots of MC's and private vehicles traversing the busway during those times.

Safety reasons. GA has said a million times that only the flyovers and tunnels have no barriers. The rest of the bus lanes does have barriers, but they need openings every once in a while for emergency vehicles to get in and out.

Does the car with "PULISYA" magnetic sticker got ticketed? Because it does look like a private vehicle, and regardless, if its not responding into a emergency situation then it should be ticketed
They consider it as authorized, as a police vehicle.
While there have been incidents of people misusing those magnetic stickers on their private cars, upon the enforcers verification, that vehicle appeared to be a legitimate PNP vehicle.
Why the exemption though? I thought only emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire trucks are allowed.

Bruh, it is an ON DUTY PNP vehicle, as per DOTr's list of vehicles that can use the bus lane.

They are recording video. But there's also CCTV for most of EDSA.

These tickets are being issued by enforcers and given directly to the driver, on the spot.
Well at least none of the money trucks had an identity crisis and thought they were ambulances and so able to use the bus lane.
